Vive La Belgique!! Lukaku you mighty, awe-inspiring,humongous beast of a man!
-
wonderful

KRAKEN RELEASED !!!!
-
In my modest opinion he's the most dangerous man on the pitch. Scored, lovely passing, flashes of flair, one HUGE miss and a couple of fumbles. Overall; pretty good compared to his last 2 games
-
Really enjoying Hazard growing back to his usual form
-
Hazard looking more like his usual brilliant self 90% his goal
-
Meaningless though it might be, great win guys! - I love the energy that Lukaku brings! What a difference to the tired and uninspired feel that Ba has about him. He might not be perfect in everything he does - lose possession quickly or fumble in his first touch - but he IS a talent and he WILL become LEGEND. 2 out of 2, Romeluuuu - DeBruyne doesn't need any comment - LEGEND in the making. MOTM and his injury will turn out ok, I'm sure. - Hazard really has to work on getting fit in the next 4weeks - he's way of his A-game Still had a decent game though. - Traore OUTstanding, Van Ginkel not there for a half but then showed very promising stuff, - Shürlle a bit underwhelming, but he will come through. Wonderfull stuff, couldn't be more happy!
-
You're awfully quick to write him off, aren't you? Mourinho will make him learn what he needs to learn
-
The second half was disappointing, which was to be expected with a whole new team on the pitch. But boy, I must say that Kdb really delivered - my MOTM for sure! Kalas and Wallace were impressive, Schurrle showed spells of being "the finished product" (quote Mourinho) we want him to be and Ramires and Essien were really compatible... So yea, *opens up a beer* Lukaku was good, but imo he will not be able to be our main striker this season, just yet *munches beer nuts* It's the little things, such as his positioning and runs, that still need some refining for that. Watching this match also showed we need to sell Torres or Ba and bring in a top striker (in which case Ba/Torres can be third option). Lukaku is between first and second spot for me - Just not there yet but very promising indeed! Disappointed by BA though!
-
Either these defenders are pretty good or BA is very poor. Anyway, I think Lukaku looked a much bigger threat in the first half than Ba does now. Strange, considering how good Ba intrinsically really is...
-
Plan A: Throw ridiculous amounts of money at Lewandowski. Plan B: Let's buy Fred! Plan C: Sign me, I promise you guys I would make 1 or 2 goals this season and vow to celebrate them all in the most outrageous ways.
-
I can't help but wonder why Rudy Völler came all the way to Brussels then yesterday? Was it some masochistic move to come check out the prize player he ALMOST had? Really hope it's true though..
-
Agree with your assessment of KDB's quality, but let's give Kompany some credit : the man suffered from a broken nose, fractured eye-socket and a minor concussion yet refused to get subbed. He not only finished the game, but was a rock in defence as always Now if that doesn't cry out captaincy, I wonder what does

You got me convinced on the WE ARE CHELSEA argument. Cheerio

Namasté ji, Wouldn't you agree that there is a profound difference in taking red and eliciting red? What Luiz did was smart in my book, and moreover, not wrong as such because he simply held the ball and went down after being torpedoed. I would be jeering too if my talent drove my opponent into a state of temporary insanity. By no ethics I mean that rolling on the pitch and overacting the pain one feels after a faul is common good in the world of football. Eliciting cards is a dirty thing that I don't like, but it's there and if it happens against us - why not rejoyce when it happens to the opponents? Fir

In re-reading my reply I realise how it must have come across: apologies, didn't mean to 'get personal' or to tell you what you should do. Didn't mean to sound pedantic. Cheerio,

FACT 1: Luiz's blatant smirk - to me- was the highlight in an otherwise bloodless game (besides the goal that is). Come on, you just got to love Man U get f***ed in their own stadium. Loved the sideshow-Bob analogy btw, it's been on repeat since yesterday FACT2: Modern day football players get payed to a) go down and inflict cards on their opponents by exaggerating the gravity of the opponent's faul. This is called manipulating the face of a game with intelligence and personality and is an aspect of the game that shouldn't be underestimated or criticised! Overacting is embedded in the game; hell, everyone does it without fans even realizing it. So excuse me, but blaming Luiz for this flash of honesty (in losing his mask) is having the wrong priorities, dude. There are no ethics when it comes to toying with your opponents. We should be proud of him, if anything, to know that he's talented and skilled enough to pull something off like this. The faul was made and was a 100% red card. It has happened to us as well. FACT 3: Being a Chelsea fan you should stick with your team through thick and through thin. HE didn't take red, right? :blue scalf:

That's got to be his worst game all season ^^ Still great to watch though!
-
I follow what you're saying, but intrinsically I actually think DM is Fellaini's best position. That's also what Wilmots and Fellaini himself think btw. He's simply been used up front by Everton because it's something he can also do, not because he's a AM by choice or because he's been trained to do so. His ability to intercept attackers, defend on standard situations, tackle and bully the opposition makes him the ideal vaccuum cleaner in front of any defence. He can also launch text book counter attacks, making him some sort of ultimate box-to-box DM come to think of it, I do want him to join our side Just think about the MC cup game and then decide what our team needs (in such games)... Do you think Jaja Touré would have still had such a field day if he would've had to battle Fellaini time and time again? Cheerio!
-
Sorry dude, but I've followed Fellaini since he first started playing for Standard Liege and I respectfully but wholeheartedly disagree with you. Over the years and in the beginning of this season he's shown a remarkable mix of monster-like power ànd technical baggage. Denying that his holding of possession up front, abilty to pass, score and dribble are at times sublime simply means you haven't watched him play enough or only of late. Match of the day commentators left no doubt about that btw in the beginning of the season. Judging him on his last games is imo unfair, since he's clearly suffering from a lesser form. He's been injured in februari and suffered some bullshit row with his own supporters which might have damaged his motivation. About his role in the NT, there is a reason why Wilmots (coach of Belgian NT) says that a fit Fellaini will always have a spot in his team. That is because a fully fit and motivated Fellaini is a one man army battle tank who makes play for his team-mates a hell of a lot easier. I think intrinsically he's good enough to make any top-team - outside Spain. I DO agree with you however, that Fellaini is not what we need right now. Not because he's not good enough, but simply because I think we should play LUIZ as a DM Cheers

@Valdez: Courtois would have stopped that ball in the 93d minute, Victor.
-
I personally think Courtois is safe from any such scenario, since we don't have an abundance of keepers. Same for Lukaku. KdB however runs the risk of being rendered obsolete by the overpopulated midfield in our team. Especially when Modric or another Real-player comes and Abramovich gets confronted with a need for funds. Let's face it, who wants to buy Benayoun or Torres? Kevin, however, is a hot porspect for any side. We can only pray that if Mourinho comes Kevin performs well in the pre-season games and Mourinho puts his foot down for him. Or, to be safe, that Mourinho leaves Real without bringing any of his pets
-
Belgian media reporting that Chelsea have put a 15million€ price tag on Kevin's head. Reason for a potential sale would be Mourinho's insane financial demands if he were to come back. Abramovich would thus consider selling some players. And one can wonder: does KDB have a future with chelsea under Mourinho, especially since the special one will be travelling to London with 1 or 2 Real-players. I can imagine that would either be a Central defender or/and a Midfield player -adding to our already packed midfield... Do you guys think that Kevin would pragmatically fit into next season's team under Mourinho? If not, do we still want Mourinho back ?

The nr.1 sports news paper from Catalunya, SPORT, today featured Courtois on its front page with the official message: PRIORITY NR. 1 ! They claim Barcelona is officially making Thibault their main target to follow in the wake of Victor Valdez. Now, I generally don't tend to trust in news paper articles such as this, but SPORT has had a number of scoops about Barca that turned out to be right after a few months. So, I'm a bit concerned... After all, which 20 year old player on loan would turn down the opportunity to join Barça? Respecting and often agreeing with much that has been said in previous pages (in favour of letting Coutrois stay out on loan) I implore you all now to start praying to our beloved Tsaar: BRING OUR STAR BACK HOME - NOW!

Just a universal law amongst clueless people, guys; the less someone has to say, the more that person will talk! Without conveying a message and exceedingly loudly, usually...
