The problem i have with willian is that anytime he is our best player, we are always on poor form. I dont understand why.

Sell Sell Sell His Lack of mobility is killing us. He was good last season coming from the bench fresh and popping assists late on. But to start, he cant physically keep up and its hampering us.

Its his teammates form that has fallen off a cliff. But it also proves my point that the loss of costa has been massive. Goals win games, you can dribble all you like but the goalscorer is the most important player in the team. Hazard needs a consistent goalscorer and with Costa and pedro last season, he had two chipping in with goals. Now it is Morata and willian who no matter how technical they can be, they can never replace Costa and pedros goals.

Honestly, all I want is for us to get Sarri as manager. An actual attack minded manager with huge possession play. That way hazard can have 70-90 touches of the ball instead of 35-50 touches under our past 4 managers. Hazard talent wise is almost as good as Neymar, but I just wish he could give more through balls, and dribble with the intention of positioning himself to shoot more (he's scored one screamer against watford this season so he has the ability)

Jesus, Nothing in my post says we should sell him. All i said is he's not good enough to start in Madrid. In fact im totally against selling him because we have a board who replaces matic with bakayoko. With hazards money, these guys will buy trash like Albrighton. Hazard has flaws in his gameplay which he can improve if someone coached him personally thats all i mentioned lol.

At first i wished with his dribbling style, he'll be like robben.. where he'll dribble directly into the box and cut inside for the curler. But he hated shooting so i thought maybe he'll be a little like messi who dribbles 2-3 players and locates Neymar/alba/suarez in behind the defence. But hazard never gets his head up to spot runs. So all he does is dribble and if he's having an off day on the dribbling he cant make any impact. That is hazard's weakness and its unfortunate he doesnt have someone like me close to him to tell him this truth to his face, so much natural talent not utilized to the full.

While the quality of players dropped from last season, I also think the players are not happy with conte for the costa situation and also david luiz. But what did the most damage especially since January has been Conte criticizing the quality of the players he has from all angles, at every press conference. These players have families who watch these press conferences of their manager saying they're not good enough. Its frustrating. Immediately Conte quarreled with mourinho over the bald head issue he started looking for something to criticize everywhere and the players are no longer playing with the same hunger of last season.

He never stood a chance IMO. Hazard cant replace bale's goalscoring, he's not a striker to replace benzema, and he cant replace ronaldo's hunger, leadership, desire and goals. The only position he'll be there to replace is isco and he's a Spanish starting National player. He'll be difficult to drop. Which means a huge amount of bench time for hazard. And he's already 27.

Do you know how many times morata or costa made runs behind the defense only to be ignored by hazard passing sideways to moses? His creativity all comes from his dribbling then cutting back for kante/fabregas to shoot. While KDB puts a pinpoint cross/pass for the strikers to score, hazard dribbles then cuts back for the DM to shoot from distance and gets a lot of chances created stats for it. Ive always said hazards creativity all stems from his dribbling, he needs to get his head up more and spot runners in behind. If he stops dribbling, he can hold the ball under pressure, he can switch play sideways to moses, but he cant create proper chances without his dribbling.

Salah plays with so much intent. He dribbles to open up the space to score, he makes a million runs behind the defence so that he can get on the end of a hoofed ball or cross. Hazard on the other hand looks like he's playing just for fun. Trying flicks, dribbling 3 players just to pass to Kante to shoot or Moses on the wing (instead of dribbling with intent to score) It's fair to say that Hazard is more of a midfielder than an attacker. But my main problem with that is his lack of assists.

Not as good a keeper as we rate him. Certainly not on the same level as De gea, Oblak, Ederson, Ter stergen or Neuer.

Willian is a terrible crosser (I cant remember an assist he's had from a cross) but a great shooter from the left. Pushing him to the left will utilize his strength while nullifying his weakness in crossing. Hazard takes an average of 1 shot per game while willian takes a lot more anytime he finds a chance on the left wing, meaning hazard can go to the center in a (4-2-3-1) formation or right wing in a 3-4-3 formation to utilize his passing potential while nullifying his weakness to refuse to shoot unless he has an open goal. 3-4-3 like this Willian - Giroud - Hazard Kante - Fabregas or 4-2-3-1 like this Giroud Willian - Hazard - Pedro

Never Completely change formation to 4-2-3-1 with Hazard in the center or shift him to the right of the 3-4-3 so that he can pass as much as he likes after dribbling into goalscoring positions. At least this way we have a genuine threat in willian always posing a danger from outside the box from the left. An inverted winger that doesnt cut in to shoot once in a while is a flaw in the system. Hazard's insane natural talent is all thats helping him, his in game reluctance to shoot is just

We should shift willian to the left wing where he can cut in on his right and cause some damage. Especially since Hazard doesnt know how to shoot. Willian is by far more of a goalscoring threat from the left wing.Push hazard to the center or right wing since he loves to pass even when in acres of space in dangerous areas

Watching sane use his insane pace and dribbling to drive in and destroy arsenal has got me jealous. So many players have better dribbling but are not as effective as sane is with it. Sane has 11 assists and he was injured for a while already this season. Fantastic player honestly

You have a point with city rotation, but if you look closely at city's rotation, they always play with six out of this nine attacking players (sane, sterling, aguero, kdb, gundogan, silva, fernadinho, bernadosilva,) always. We on the other hand, hazard is the only constant in attack. And he's either playing in the false nine today, playing behind one striker tomorrow, or playing on the wing the next day. Morata plays today, injures tomorrow, 3-4-3 today, 3-5-2 tomorow etc We just havent had a consistent attack lineup this season and our attack has become disjointed because of it.

Not sure, but i think conte's problem this season is the fact that he keeps rotating the players and changing the formation everytime. We had average players last season, but we played the same team, same formation, week in week out. They developed chemistry together, everyone knew how their teammates behaved. This season conte hasnt managed the rotation well, that is why chelsea dont have understanding/chemistry on the pitch.

The level of compactness of the team against barcelona was something ive not seen since last season. Our closeness together as a team meant barcelona had no space between the lines, no space for a successful one-two pass and hard for messi to dribble. If we can be compact like that against big teams, then we can play fabregas easily for extra creativity because it completely covers fabregas defensive weakness (i.e not much ground to cover since another teammate is close by) I hope we maintain that team unity, team compactness

Love Emerson so fucking much. Finally a left back that can dribble, is fast, can cross, make overlapping runs, make runs in behind & doesn't break down every other attack

The reason why those numerous chances created are not translating into assists is because those chances created by hazard are not enough clear cut chances. Majority of what he creates is when he dribbles and cuts inside and passes to kante/fabregas to shoot from distance. Fabregas and KDB put people through on goal, one on one with the keeper, I dont see hazard do that enough. Infact this season Azpi from defence has created very clear cut chances for morata which everyone can remember off the top of their head. Hazard is the best dribbler in the world (Yes above messi and Neymar) but he is still below worldclass in creating clear chances IMO. Clear chances is the type morata missed against arsenal, how many like that does hazard create? Not enough imo to be compared to the likes of (Messi, KDB, Silva, Ozil, Fabregas, James, and Payet)
