But why make a difference to a single club. I dont quite get what your getting at. Have a special font this season "incase" we win something ? If we get to the CL final I'm sure we'll be wearing a new kit, then the whole point of having a specific font for this season will be irrelevant

OFFICIAL: Kenyon to Leave
Aesthetic Relic replied to Aesthetic Relic's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Chelsea.com So whats your thoughts on this......is this connected to the recent Kakuta drama or a coincidence ? -
Breaking news on SSN..... Kenyon is to leave his current position at the end of October, but stay on at the club... More to follow
-
Yeah....shit font.......we should have a flashing scrolling message across the back of out shirts, similar to the advertising boards around the side of the pitch.

Being 100% honest, do you believe Chelsea did anything wrong? If so was the punishment justifiable on the transfer ban? We must have done something wrong or we wouldnt have been charged by FIFA. I can understand the anger amongst Chelsea fans due to the Champions League exit last season and the actions of UEFA and Platini about English clubs in general. I do feel its a bit harsh. We have yet to recieve the full details of the enquiry from FIFA before we go ahead with our appeal, so until then all we can hope for is a similar result to that of Roma who got their ban overturned to a "one window ban". You obviously have a very strong squad atm, one of the strongest in Europe. Where do you see yourself in 3-5 years time when the main core of your squad have got too old/moved on? Its always been said that although Roman has curbed his spending and we will aim to develop our own players for the future, he will make money available if the right player(s) are needed. We've got alot of excellent prospects within the club and in 5 years time I expect Chelsea to be bringing those lads through to be the core of the team. Stoch, Mancienne, Hutchinson are just three that jump out at me that I believe will have a big future at Chelsea. if u could sign two players from spurs who would they be? I think Lennon is a cracking player. Watching him reminds me of when we had Robben and Duff torturing defenders on a regular basis. I'd have him at Chelsea in an instant. Modric is another who I admire. Very few technical players seem to thrive in the EPL and he seems to have taken to it like a duck to water. Shame about his recent injury though. who do u consider to be your fiercest london rivals? I grew up with a Chelsea/Spurs rivalry as my dad follows Spurs. are u happy with your manager or would u have preffered to keep gus hiddink? I'd have loved Hiddink to stay obviously. Right now Carlo Ancelotti seems to have kept that belief and fight in the squad that Hiddink brought back. The same sort of passion we got accustomed to under Mourinho. Its still early days yet as we had a similar start last season under Scolari and when the chips were down he faultered. When the shit hits the fan we will need to see how CA reacts and how he changes things during a game. The test will come over the coming weeks with the return of the CL and the EPL games with Spurs and Liverpool. After these games we'll have a better idea how things are going. Do you see Tottenham as potential title challengers within the next 10 years? Right now you've a decent squad and with Harry at the helm he'll no doubt he'll look to improve. He's used to wheeling and dealing, but now he'll have a fair amount of cash to play with and the potential is there to break into the "top 4" are u concerned that abramovich may sell up someday in the near future and how do u think it would affect your club if he did? He'll move on one day, but he's set the foundations for the club to be in an excellent position financially in say 10 years time. Hopefully by then all our external debt will be wiped out and we'll be churning out our own crop of stars from the academy. I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that he has set up a trust fund of £500m for the club if anything were to happen to him and also his intentions were to pass the club onto his son in due course. Wether theres any truth in those stories is another thing. In general I think we'll be fine. Fans of other clubs seem to believe that if he does go we'll be fucked, but I believe thats far from the truth. who do u see as the dangermen for both teams this weekend? Lennon v Ashley Cole will be an excellent battle. Both playing exceptionally well right now and will be looking to impress Capello who'll no doubt be watching. Terry will have to be on his game to keep Defoe quiet. Again, both are playing really well right now, but I think that Carvalho will be keeping an eye on Defoe due to JT's lack of pace. Drogba....blink and he'll score. You either love him or hate him. He's back to his best and when he's like that he's unstoppable. With your defensive headache atm I feel that Drogba will take advantage of that and cause you countless problems. I'm lost for a second one tbh as its hard to single one out. We've so many potential match winners going forward, so I'll go for Mikel or Essien as either of these two will be expected to break up your attacks and get us moving forward. Its one of the shitty jobs, but just as important. do u think man city will become a major force and challenge for league titles? The money will definately help but it'll be how they handle it. Its all and well bringing in loads of top players, but they have to be the right players for the team. Its all about consistency. I think too many people are reading too much into the Arsenal game as Arsenal will always let you play football. They have one way of playing and you always feel you'll score against them. If they come away from the derby game this weekend with 3 points then people(and myself) will maybe sit up and take notice. How do you feel about the recent influx of cash-driven teams/players into the game (especially the EPL)? It has its good and bad points. My main gripe is that there's already enough money in the EPL due to the TV money, etc....and this idea of bringing in a "wage cap" of some sort or teams not spending beyond their means can only benefit the game in the long run. As it is now, the rich will get richer and those not as fortunate will continue to fall further behind. I also support Rangers and feel disappointed that they have slipped down the pecking order in terms of attracting big name players due to the lack of money in the Scottish game. The season they reached the UEFA Cup final their total income from all competitions was £25 million. Thats shocking when you look at Derby in the same season recieved roughly £30 million for having the worst EPL records EVER and got relegated. what are your opinions on harry redknapp and his management style? I've always rated Harry Redknapp....a modern day Clough imo. I'm surprised he has never been given the chance to manage England. **Quiet at the back** As I mentioned earlier......it'll be interesting to see how he copes with having a bigger kitty to play with instead of his usual wheeling and dealing. where do u predict spurs and Chelsea will end up in the league table this season? I genuinely believe that Chelsea will be champions. We've a setlled squad and have that belief back that we will never be beaten. Joe Cole and Zhirkov have yet to featue and having those tweo unleashed on the EPL with give us a huge boost going into the second phase of the title race. With all due respect, I think Spurs would be happy with a top 6 finish when you look at those who'll be up there challenging for Europe. The "top 4" will be there or there abouts. City will be pushing to break that group, so would finishing 6th be that bad would it ? what is your prediction for the match? I'm hoping for a win, but in these types of games you never know. Last seasons games were very tight, but I've a feeling this one will be slightly more open. 3-2 Chelsea

Have you tried imageshack or tinypic ?

Happy belated birthday mate. :dude:

Its good to be back. I dont agree that folk should be boycotting the Champions League games. We should be standing tall and getting right behind the team in defiance of UEFA/FIFA. No-one likes us....we dont care :blue scalf:

Its no problem, I just got used to clicking on the banner to refresh the page.
-
When you click on the main banner it takes you to the site home page rather than the forum main page like it used to. I dont know if that was/is your intention or not. Just thought I'd mention it. Overall the forum in general is coming along nicely.

I was 25 and sitting in her dads house as I'd just dropped her off to work. When I got in he had the TV on showing what was going on. I'd only just sat down when the 2nd plane hit. RIP to all those who lost their lives. I really felt for everyone, but the main thing that stuck in my mind were those images of people jumping to their deaths. That must be a horrible decision to make. Sitting there knowing you're completely cut off and would probably perish by the fire/smoke as rescue was practically impossible. To make that decision to jump.........I dont know if I could do that. Its a very brave thing to do. RIP and thoughts with everyone affected by this terrible act of cowardice.

If any of you have problems watching streams from Adthe, Ustream or JTV you should download sopcast. All the links for sopcast can be found on Myp2p. I've used it for 3-4 years for watching Chelsea games and they're 99% reliable. No jumping, clear picture, no chat room, etc....just the game.
-
That was epic stuff I only caught the second half and we battered the life out of them. I just knew we would score if we kept that pressure on. I was bouncing round the house like an eejit

Officially they are our players, but to play for us they need to be registered to play for that particular season. If they play for someone else, they hold the players registration for that season or for the period of the loan deal. I'm not 100% sure if you have to re-register a player each season or not, but I think we should be able to play them opnce the loan deal has elapsed. This information is not something new, its basically a continuation of the original rule reguarding playing registered players. Nothing has changed.
-
If we havent registered them to play for us this season as they're registered to play elsewhere, then theres nothing we can really do. They're determined to make an example of us.

Who makes shit threads and sounds like sore knee.....

Might be good to get back on topic.....what do you think ?
-
Awwww ffs....I missed al lthe fun. I've a few saved up....try a few of these out if you want.

Simon Greenberg was on 5-live last night talking about the Academy and Chelsea in general. He came across as very positive about the future of the club stating that Chelseas plan is to have at least 1 player each season break into the first team squad. Basically the aim of the club is to develop English/London based players. They tried to trip him up with comments about Kakuta and the current media frenzy surrounding the club and the recent "inducing" scandal, but he wouldnt comment as the club is still waiting for the confirmation from FIFA containing the full details of the ruling. We should be in receipt of that within the next 2 weeks before we decide the best way forward to appeal.
-
Yep...its basically a "gentlemans agreement" between Lens and his parents to sign the professional contract. Theres no law that I'm aware of that would make that stick in court. Its basically selling Kakauta as a slave to Lens.
-
The noise coming from Lens is that they "intended" to get him to sign a professional contract as previously agreed that he would do with his parents after his training period. From what I gather his training period was complete and had not yet signed a professional contract therefore making him fair game.
-
To be fair.....the rules are there in black and white in another thread. We didnt follow them and have been punished accordingly. If you want to blame Baltter, Platini, etc...by all means go for it, but we should be looking closer to home imo. Either those who make these decsions within the club dont know the rules or they totally disreguarded them. Imo, these people should be spoken to buy the clubs hierarchy and asked to explain their actions. If the decision was made knowingly from those at the top then they've only themselves to blame.
-
Hmmmmmm..... If we've crossed the line then we cant really complain. FIFA are just applying the rules. If this is the case then they must analise every "dodgy" new signing and apply the rules straight across the board. If they want to make an example of us thats fair enough, but to single us out and not apply the same rules to others who have used similar methods in bringing players to their clubs, would be bordering on discrimination. I await other clubs dealings to be thoroughly disected to make this a level playing field. The mentions of Man City pursuing of Lescott doesn't fall into this bracket if I'm reading it correctly. Lescott didnt ask for his contract to be terminated then go elsewhere. He asked for a transfer which is totaly different imo. Yes you could say it is "tapping up" but thats a different kettle of fish altogether. If the appeal is successful then we can move on and put it behind us. Lesson learnt. If not then we must pull together and get right behind the club vocally and show them we shall not be battered into submission. We will show what we're made of by winning the title and hopefully the CL and blank Platini on that podium when we collect our winners medals. Chelsea till I die.
-
This is the best of the lot of them....... It will indeed come around. Manu, Arsenal, Real, Barca, etc.....If lesser clubs feel victimised, FIFA will have to act if they want to play hardball with the big boys. If they dont act then we would have a case for discrimination. Play the fuckers at their own game.

Always thought you were a bit of a plucker
