I see now! I agree Dzeko would be ground breaking, it would be more amazing for the fact ManCity would be mad to see him playing well and regularly (he wont come cheap though, maybe 30mi)... I do not see what he writes on twitter, but sometimes he just assumes sometinhgs and try to convince everybody else with his painting abilities (Torres movement on Falcao`s thread). Other times he has a really good view of what we look like and need.
-
It could be, I wont judge what I dont know...
-
Well, I dont follow him on twitter but he did defend Torres on Radamel Falcao`s thread...

FIFIA, FORGET ALL THOSE NEYMAR LOVER OUT THERE. IBRAHIMOVIC FOR PUSKAS!!!!!!

I did not know changes are due next year! Great to see FA moving foward. Yes, of course you have got intelligent people running the show (just look at the stunning facility you built), I just think you plan too much and are too serious. Sometimes all you need is to let things develop by their own...
-
To be honest, FA keeps thinking a state of the art facility is what makes a great team.... If you look at Spain, Italy and Brazil, we dont have half of what you have (specially Brazil) but we have the talent. England`s new facility is just amazing, however, it is the players that make a good team. FA cuts the freedom of their youngsters too quickly, they lose creativity and improvisation, they get too focused on the tactical part of the game. You should restructure the academy philosophy in order to improve, all other ends of the learning process you have! EDIT, IBRA > ENGLAND [2]

LOL, all I have to say:
-
IBRA > ENGLAND

I 100% agree. It just looks to me Roman had something like this: Summer - "We have already spent too much, I talked to Torres and with this world class players he will score many goals"; November - "WTF!!!, how did we not get Falcao in the summer? I am calling my bank manager right now to withdraw 50mi." LOL
-
Wrong, that does not apply to Falcao. He will be sold for the buy-out clause (it is true, not supposed), now or in the summer. There is just too much competition (PSG, ManCity, etc) and we all know how Roman is. I am not saying he will come, but it is realistic! How is that possible? He will play today against Brazil...
-
NOOOOOO! JT would score 1 goal per game but we would allow 2-3.
-
I understood you said we look idiotic by only sticking with him. I said that we had no other option since Hazard and Oscar were our priorrity... If that was not what you meant, I`m sorry.
-
No, we had no budget to buy a replacement for Torres. I agree that buying him was a huge mistake, but we had other priorities this summer. Would you be willing to lose Hazard and Oscar to another team to buy a 50mi striker?
-
Would you swap Torres for Lukaku?
-
I agree, it would improve a lot. I just dont see any chance of RDM changing his formation, so we will have to solve it in another way. If we had players like Nani and Valencia (tactial wise), it would solve our problems, but we dont. We either sub Rambo and put Oscar there, make Hazard track back and play Moses or play half zone half man marking.
-
No, it is not an attacking width problem, it is defensively. Any width we look extremely vulnerable.
-
Although I agree (I have discussed it with Toronto already), it would not solve our width problem.

CB: We have JT, Cahill, Luiz and Chabolah. Since JT wont be playing every game and Chabolah will certainly have to wait 2 more years to be in the squad, we need a world class and experienced defender. Then we would have CB, Cahill, Luiz and Chabolah. I just dont believe it will come in January. CM: We have Ramires, Lampard, Essien, Josh, KDB (Oscar). Lampard and Essien will be out next year, Josh and KDB will have luck to stay in the squad and Ramires must imrpove. If Rambo was as good as Fernandinho, we wouldnt need anyone. I would love a great all around center midfield (Xabi, Yaya, Pirlo, Busquets, Shweinstiger, etc). I believe Fernandinho or Vidal would be percfet (not Fellaini), but they will not come this season. Then we would have CM, Rambo, Josh and KDB. ST: Falcao or Cavani, no other option. We need a top5 for this position, someone we know will give us undeserved victories, trophies, etc. I am pretty confident Roman will give us a Christmas Present!

We really were with an unsustainable convert ratio, but last game Oscar and Mata had to score those chances. It would have killed the game. I think our problem lies defensively, but not individual performance, group work instead. We do not have a clear defensive role for everybody (if we do we are not performing it). This leaves our midfield vunerable to any width or possession team, making our defense extremely overloaded. It also makes our attacking trio to be out of position in the counters. I am too lazy to post pretty pictures to show off, but you can clearly see the disorganization in our transition. There is also the identity crysis, are we a possession (Barcelona) or a speed killer (Real and Bayern) team? The problem is I do not know how to solve this. It might be by playing wingers with a passing and ball control pivot, one formation for attack and defense, not enough training, lack of leadership, bad coaching, etc. Maybe it is a bit of everything, I have no clue.
-
@TorontoChelsea, do you agree that if it was 2-1 we would see totally different posts? I mean, if we had scored one of the many chances we had I think we would see positive reactions: "really close to manurre, nice job RDM", "transition mode and 1 point behind", "a striker shy of a perfect team", etc. People tend to direct their opinions by the outcome of the game, they forget to impartially analyse the aspects of the team. Of course it is not everyone, but some members do it all the time. We cant be doing great at one end and not so good at ohters. It is either everything or nothing...

Typical knee jerk reaction. If you cant accept diferent views or dot have decent arguments, just dont quote!

No, I completely agree. Henrique is totally right we need experienced leaders to be a trully champion team. I just think he is asking too much of this present team. I am sure another huge trasnfer window like the one we had the the chemestry and knowledge our players will gain from this season is enoguh...
-
You are being way to harsh... You only mentioned those players because you know what they have become. They belong to a very mature and excellent era. You cant compare us to 08/09, we are the new CFC. We are remoduling, just like 03/04. We are being built to acomodate future stars and leaders and this does not happen in 1-2 years or transfer windows. We will for sure buy experience in certain areas we might need, but the 20 years old policy is very important (we buy cheap and grow them to their full potencial). Besides, it is not like we are buying a whole team of 20 years old, we only bought a few players in that age. Where ever we have holes in the team, if they come, will certainly be for the present and not for the future. We are in transition mode, we lack consistency, chemestry and experience. However, this is all a learning process...I am more than sure we will have one of the most balanced squads in 2 years!

I think we would have had a very good season if we fight for the EPL (even if we dont win it), grab a Cup Trophy, win CWC and reach quarter finals of UCL. A win is important though!
