Me telling you that you played much better helps? To stay on topic, Robben is one of the biggest chokers of football history, he simply doesnt show in big games!

The reason Oscar was 25mi is because Brazilian market is inflated and the reason why Coutinho went for 10mi was because Inter tried everything they could and he still failed. But I get your point and there is no arguing with it, he either lives up to the expectation or he leaves... I think he has done a lot, like socring most of our European goals and giving balance to Mata and Hazard, but he did not have that great of a season. I just think people overreact when they analyze Oscar's first year at Chlesea. One because the adaptation really is tough, specially outside the football pitch (language, food, city, friends, etc). And second because I think our roller-coaster FSW season has prevented him from flourishing. This has obviously influence, but the real problem is the FIFA U-20 WC. The team was supposed to built around be Neymar, Coutinho and Lucas. However, he failed badly and Oscar took his position throughout the tournament, with amazing displays and a hattrick in the final, he caught the eyes of everyone! On the professional NT, he got the opportunity after Ganso's injury and never had one single bad game, so no one doubts him anymore. If he continues to play like this in Liverpool, he will get the chance (specially because Kaka and Ronaldinho are aging), but until now, he hasnt done anything to make him deserve the place...

As you have seen, my venom was very sharp today, I blame my terrible mood (it was on par with the day of the Hall of Fame breakdown)... It has already stopped and not happening again, messaged the members I have offended (and wrongly so) today and I hope everything will be resolved! Add alcohol, girl and a forum with a bad temper and you get me throwing stupid digs at undeserving members, sorry! Yeah, I hope you return with Chelsea in 3rd and with UEL Final secured! :woo:

@Leif, All I asked was for you to tell me what were the 11 games he started in the middle and actually give facts on why you think Coutinho is the better player. Since I told you that your post had no useful information nor arguments explaining what made you think Oscar was the one who least impressed you, I havent received one single football related quote. You simple gave assists, goals and appearances and did not elaborate on it. I wasnt trying to be offensive at first, I answer like this to everyone (read the discussion I had with The Mak). I just stated that your interjection had little meaning and gives no real arguments to the topic that was being debated. Had you simply answered the 'concerns' I raised, this would have gone down as normal as any other discussion this forums has!

Why is Cech doing a Pep Reina?
-
Agreed with most of it, but I think he will actually score something between 25-30 goals and Lewandowski will not be only 25mi... Overall, yeah, not worth 50mi, but if he is our only option (meaning Cavani to PSG and Lewa to Bayern), I dont see that huge of a problem!
-
LOOOOL, thanks for reading it! As far as Falcao's success, banging 25-30 and leading us to a trophy would be called a hit...
-
I didnt mention you at all, but if the cap fits, wear it!
-
@Ollie, it took me all day to read your post, amazing stuff!

Well, at least someone is intelligent enough to make football points and explain them! Coutinho is more prolific at dribbling and running past defenders because that is his style, a bit like Lucas Moura. Oscar, on the other hand, is more like a Pirlo or Modric (or even Lampard) type of player, they can all do fancy tricks, but it is just not part of their game. You will always see Coutinho making more headlines (if they were actually at the same level) than Oscar because that is just his thing. Oscar did not have a very good season, like almost all our team, but this is his first ever season in a super different league. If the style of football in Brazilian to Italian Series A is already very apart, imagine Brazilian Serie A to EPL. He actually adapted very well, IMO. Remember he is the first real talented player to that direct transition in history... I guess that Liverpool's current form and the love the media has for them make the minds of highly influenced kids (not that you are one, but you understand), but Oscar has been much better throughout all of his career and this shows in the NT. Have you never asked yourself why Coutinho doesnt even make the cut? That is because managers have seen a lot of him at Vasco and Inter and they werent impressed, it is not 2-3 good months that would change their minds! Overall, Coutinho has been a good surprise to all of us (specially who have seen him failing at Italy), but he cant be put in the same sentence as Oscar. Our little number 10 is considered one of the very best promisses of football and this is no joke. I have no doubt he will have a great next season and Coutinho will start to have inconsistency (specially at big games). At the long run, Oscar will be by far the best player!

Have I said professionally? You must play, being with friends at weekends is enough. If you had ever played as a GK, you wouldnt have criticized Cech for not defending Aguero's header in the FA Cup semi-final... EDIT: Again quoting only one little sentence of someone's entire post.

To the discussion that was being argued, yes! This only turned to what it has because you were not capable of asking my questions in the first place. My first couple of posts were not offensive at all! Had you simply given me intelligent arguments to the debate, this would have taken a much better course. Exactly like you did with Kojo, couldnt attack his points... Then simply say I make shit points and you would like new ones, so simple! First, all I said is that I am right at this specific argument (that you posted stats without backing them up). Second, the fact you dont play football does influence, there is no debate here, you must play the sport to learn some aspects of the game. I am caucasian!
-
How is your fake twitter going?
-
The point is that you would not make such atroucious points, that is all... You know that I am right about you only posting the stats that backs Coutinho and that you gave no arguments at all, you simply copied and pasted the goals and assists from the internet. Now, you start posting comparissons about Ramires and Iniesta out of nowhere and post random footballers names to make it as if Coutinho had any good competition in Inter (whereas Oscar has Mata playing ahead of him). You either give arguments to sustain whatever stat you use or you simply dont use!
-
Go play football dude, maybe you learn somethings!
-
Why you taking CHOULO's job? Leave him alone!
-
The distance one runs is part of a handful of stats that translates to how good the work rate of a certain player is. I didnt ask for it alone, with no meaning behind it! You took one little thing and made a full post out of it. Smart!
-
No, it has no substance because you posted nothing more than goals and assists. Football isnt solely about that, for you to be able to score, someone must do the dirty work. Coutinho doesnt help the team as much as Oscar does and most of his goals and assists were with the game already in Liverpool's hand! There is no problem in using stats. For instance, Peace. uses a lot of stats, but he goes to explain and give a background to it (football arguments). You just threw some random stuff and thought to be making a hell of an intellingent intervention, lol. Not much better? LMAO! Coutinho was a complete and utter failure, he was benched in almost all of their games. He took 1.5 year to score his second goal. Even more impressive, he was even loaned to Espanyol in a position where Inter is not even full of competition!
-
Post the 11 times where he has started and post what Coutinho actually did to impress you. It doesnt help to do a big post saying absolutely nothing, with no football arguments other than just stats about how many games one has played and how many assists and goals each have... What about distance covered, tackles, passes, possession recovery, etc? Also, this is Oscar first year of European football in a troubled season for out team. Coutinho shows up in small games when the score is already in Liverpool's side. He did not started the season, when Liverpool and Rodgers were still in adaptation process, one that Oscar had to go through. Do a little memory exercise...Can you please tell me how did Coutinho's first 2 years went?
-
Look, one argument per day is more than enough. I wont start another one with such a beloved member! The fact you brag about such a small achievement shows a lot about yourself. If you knew where I have been offered a job, you would shut up. I dont need to post what I do or have done in the forum to try to show off and impress. The people I like know me well enough and that is what matters... End of story!
-
Oscar was beig praised like hell when he was playing under RDM, The Mirror even did a "Oscar Statuate" after his game against Juve! I think the reason Coutinho gets noticed is because he is a flashy type of player, while Oscar is more of a brain who likes to pass before running at a defender. Also, as Koko said, he does a lot of things that go unnoticed and his work rate is very underrated! Sorry if I came out rude, I wasnt trying to be. I only mentioned QPR to show that just because a team beat us, it doesnt make them a good side...
-
How many times did Oscar play a full game in the middle? If he had played 10 games there, you would have another opinion! Just because we lost, it doesnt make them a good team. How good are QPR for you just because we lost to them?
-
I spend the whole day online, while I am doing all sorts of stuff! People from Boston College understand you, but they still make fun, just like everyone around here! :tophat: EDIT: It is funny that you tried to impress by posting a non Top30 Law School in USA.

To offend people? I used it to show you how one can use sarcasm and still offend and be racist...
