I love this signing. Think he will become popular by fans and players alike.. seems like such a nice guy, very humble. He is also a fantastic footballer that I'm sure will be of great use to us. Cannot wait to see him play.

Today I think he proved that there is no reason to hate on him that much. Honestly though I believe we always need ONE player to hate, unfortunately its Meireles now after Bosingwa is gone.. so people will hate him.

Today was a real joy to watch Torres, he was so hungry. Did you see how pissed off he got when he got fouled, he poured his emotions into it. Also that damn Rabona, I don't want to hear anything about confidence anymore.

Solid win, Newcastle never looked like much of a threat. Hazard was great, Torres looked hungry and the defense was solid. Very few complaints, we did what was required from us.

Zenit? I don't see Hulk going to Zenit.. he wants to play in one of the top clubs, where he belongs. As for Chelsea, I think that boat has sailed with Moses possessing similar skills.

He might be considering the Liverpool deal that seems to be out there, only waiting on whether Chelsea buys another CF or not.

I think Sturridge could go either way, his entire being lends better to playing CF though, he never really fit the role of a winger. If he became more clinical he could be something good, lets hope.

I personally don't think Luiz is the type of player that gets starstruck by being interested by Barcelona.. I think he will be loyal and stay at Chelsea. If he left it would be a huge mistake.

I really want Sturridge to succeed, I sincerely hope he does. I have always liked him.. the reason I am cautious is because he is so unproven, couple that with Torres on again off again form. Maybe we should give them the chance, and if we need we buy in January.

As I said, I don't think Torres/Sturrigde are good enough, its not the injury thing mainly. Whatever, I can't win this.. ill give you all the benefit of the doubt and see how it turns out.

I am not saying Cavani should be back up, he should go straight to the starting eleven.

We have David Villa? Seriously though, Torres is far from Spain's number one striker. He might have been at one point but he is so uneven these days. Sturridge has yet to prove himself as CF for us since he mainly played winger, and quite questionably at that.

Moses is not a striker.

OK fine, forget the number of strikers.. do you actually believe Sturridge and Torres are good enough? I still think we should have 3, with Sturridge being both option for winger and CF. Though we need someone of Cavani's caliber.

Our first real test tomorrow, will be very interesting.. I still fear Newcastle after that thrashing last season. Luiz and Cahill for CB. Definitely think Ramires will start.

Only one that might feel threatened enough to leave by Cavani coming would be Sturridge.. and that is a trade I would make any day. Still, 2 strikers in the squad is not enough. Say Torres gets injured, then we have to play Sturridge and bring on makeshift Moses. 3 is bare minimum for a team i reckon. Also Yossi, Malouda and Ferreira should probably leave.

Its not about that, its about the quality, Torres keeps looking ever so uneven and Sturridge have played on the wing for quite some time now and can keep doing it. Cavani is one of the top strikers in the world, we need that if we want to challenge for the title/cl.

Didn't Matteo say he was happy with the squad ahead of both Wigan and Reading as well? WE NEED another striker.. Cavani must come.
