Why do you want him to holdup the ball for the attacking players behind him ? He is not Drogba and he never did that for Liverpool and Atleti , when he should be getting the through balls , he always gets a short pass with two defenders stuck to him and he gets disposed . we didnt bought him to make Mata and Hazard score ? Instead we bought the three players behind him to fed him . I just feel for Fernando , he made the biggest mistake one could make , making a transfer request to sign for Chelsea . You can never expect a striker to score a winning goal on his own when the players behind him are eating all his space . Our style of play was built around MUSCULAR Drogba , and was continued , though they knew torres would fail on it . He's not muscular like Drogba , RDM was told to change it , he didnt and got sacked . Benitez is changing it and it's paying off Well the way he has been treated by the managers and staff here , he was destined to FAIL . Fergie bought RVP and ammend his style of play to help RVP adapt , which cost rooney a bit , but see how they are complementing each other now. Their are like so many times , Torres has played a quick 1 2 pass with a midfielder , and made the forward run , thinking he will get the ball , but what do our midfielders do ? they passes it back or sideways .
