Honestly, I've lost hope that Werner will come off good. I've seen this play out too many times and Timo looks worse than all the other players who were in his situation.
People expect him to replicate or at least get close to his Leipzig numbers which is the reason we brought him here. If he fails to do so he'll be mentioned in the same breath as other expensive flops like Torres and Morata regardless of all the natural position debate.
All of that becomes somewhat irrelevant when he single handedly brought them back into the game, which gave them a lot of confidence to go forward especially later on when we didn't have a striker on.
I highly doubt we got him do to a Pedro type of job, though. Besides wasn't he a central striker in RB Leiptzig when he got all those goals last season?
