  1. No. No underachievement there, those stats speak for themselves. But for mismanagement by the board, there might have been one or two other bits of silverware
  2. He's definitely Mr Diplomacy when it matters -cleverer than you're average player, the legend goes on...
  3. he speaks the truth http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14487596.stm
  4. So according to the BBC he has had ''unofficial talks'' with Man Utd. If he'd been talking to Boas it would have been ''tapping up''
  5. Scored his first goal on FIFA last night against the dippers. For that reason hes going to be a success
  6. ''Legendary Hard man Souness'' All i remember is a dirty fouling twat with a tache.
  7. Not sure why we need this fella. Wide player would have been better -unless the plan is to play Sturridge out there.. Not sure why we need this fella. Wide player would have been better -unless the plan is to play Sturridge out there..
  8. Yanks have been putting it about - Dodojojo, Blue in Green, Totilla 9 , Teminator X, LDN Blue
  9. At Bolton to win the league That Barca one always springs to mind, incredible angle The 'mobile phone' clip that appeared briefly a few years back
  10. Looking good. Like the grey Tintin avatars
  11. Another legend gone from the first Championship Winning team. Brilliant Obituary
  12. Well he was spotted in the Kings Road in that restaurant asking for a deep fried Mars bar, then he shuffled off to the toilet to count his money
  13. ''Talk to real fans, for the real fan'' etc. Mmm. Going to games can be a pretty good experience as well
  14. 2011-2012 season is a swansong for 6,7, maybe 8 of Mourinhos Waitrose eggs. Fresh blood, as you put it, will be the return of the loanees -or whovever Boas (if hes still here ) rates next Summer. Cant see any coming in this window..
  15. Sorry, thats what I mean. They also operate to the size of the wad that is mooted as being credited to their individual Swiss bank accounts apparently. Even if they were working to how they're supposed to, it could still potentailly open six job vacancies on the playing staff payroll that wouldnt have to be grow your own candidates. A year would give Boas plenty of opportunity to liaise with the army of scouts and draw up a shopping list for 2012, -when we might need a bigger server to cope with the transfer threads
  16. What, you mean like parking problems at the Olympics ?
  17. Yeah because FIFA will be squeaky clean by then, not open to any offers of brown envelopes to ''develop grass roots'', and Sepp Blatter will be long gone. Oh hang on. Fly on the Wall documentary featuring Ron Gourlay meeting FIFA would be great fun Homegrown rules will be bent to suit wallet sizes methinks.
  18. I think thats when Gourlay and Co earn there millions with creative accounting and offsetting the spending against ''other'' costs. So that would potentially create 6 lucrative vacancies at the club -of which probably 4 or 5 would be hassle free in terms of red tape. Drogba will probably get an extension, Zhirkov will go, and a new midfielder could still arrive (if we can prise Levys manicured fingers away from Modric with a big enough wad of filthy lucre) Lucre for Luka I'll get me coat
  19. Looking down the list of names in the transfer forum -it reads like a whos' who in fantasy football, FM 2011, or those cards schoolboys swapped in the playground. To put a bit of clarity behind the lack of activity we need to realise there are seven players in the last year of their contracts. Anelka, Kalou, Boswinga, Hilario, Zhirkov, Rajkovic(if no work permit is forthcoming) and the Drogbazooka. If these contracts arent renewed next Summer will be the season of activity. This season could be a girding of the loins and swansong for the stalwarts, and a grounding and settling in for Mr Boas. So the Guardian maybe even optimistic with their 3rd place prediction. That said this squad started on fire last term, and it was only the length of the long ''blip'' followed by a late resurgence that allowed the Salford franchise their umpteenth title. So dont expect a late surge of Gourlay chequebook inspired activity -( though i'm not sure the Modric saga is yet dead in the water) , but the Summer of 2012 looks more likely, corellating with expiring stalwarts wage slips.
  20. Dear customer, My friend Mr Kenyon is so rich now he doesnt have to work. He just lies around on his yacht getting serviced by Balinese maidens watching MUFC TV. You ask why I went to Asia for. There was some excellent golf, and may I recommend the 'special' massages ? This is what I meant by ''19 year olds'' I hope you have all renewed your season tickets now, and dont forget theres loads more tat in the megastore. Yours sincerely Ron Gourlay
  21. Done deal then. Mike will get their pin numbers as well so we can get the money back
  22. Exactly and Luiz was a right protracted affair. To be fair to our board though, I think other clubs still see Chelsea as the club that won the Abramovich lottery, and ask accordingly wacky transfer fees. If they get a fax ?? fax? who sends faxes nowdays ? with a Chelsea FC logo on the top saying they are interested in a certain player -there is still one price and a special Chelsea price.
  23. Ronaldo is on £122 000 a week basic before bonuses and endorsements. Bit less than Big Ron Gourlay
