I think the meat and dairy lobby is very powerful. It is generally rich landowners, who obviously get richer on the arrangement, but the amount of land needed to feed these animals is monster. British farmers depend greatly on EU subsidies, the present government have promised to equal these though problems could get worse. eg growth promoters and present hormone injections such as oestradiol 17ß, testosterone, progesterone, zeranol, trenbolone acetate and melengestrol acetate (MGA) are all banned by the EU. These will be legal in the UK on Jan 1st

My bigger point was about the planet as a whole, and its sustainability rather than on an individual level. Its mental that 66% of animals on our planet are bred and for profit and cheap meat that is draining resources. On the individual level I agree, eating dead stuff that has been injected with hormones affecting gender, giving blokes bitch tits, and all for cheap cuts or burgers is proper stupid.

Organic vegetables are fine. Unfortunately the dairy lobby is a great lobby of government, and gets reciprocal kick backs to promote anti biotic ridden corpses. This makes these meat eaters less responsive when they get ill to anti biotics themselves. There will be more zootropic diseases coming quick and fast as we breed more, they feed on us, covid will look like a picnic. Lots of studies showing vegans and vegetarians are stronger than consumers of hormone ridden anti biotic injected animal corpses.

Bit of research and its easy to come to the conclusion humans disappearing from the planet would not be such a bad thing. We make up 30% of land creatures. Only 4% of land animals are free and wild. The other 66% are farmed and killed. We wiped out around 10 000 species in the last 12 months alone. We torture, kill and eat 3 billion land and sea creatures every day. Much of the stuff dragged out the sea is ground up and fed to cattle for us to eat. Countries like UK, US, Europe buy grain from developing countries to feed the meat animals, yet those countries dont have enough to feed their own population. I'm no hippy, but politics needs to address this imo, instead of being obsessed with profit all the time

Our government is under pressure from half the backbenchers to open everything up, which is why it seems rushed. It also distracts from them giving billions of our money to their wives and donors dodgy Covid companies that were quickly set up with no tendering process, and have not produced equipment. Theft in other words, but we're talking literally billions.
