Premier League set to vote on temporary ban on loan signings from clubs with same owners… in a move which would stop Newcastle snapping up Saudi-based players in January. Premier League shareholders will vote on a temporary BAN involving incoming loan signings between clubs with the same owners later this month, meaning Newcastle would not be able to arrange deals for players in Saudi Arabia. It will need 14 of the 20 top-flight members to agree to pass the fast-tracked proposal on November 21, and this is expected to happen. That would close the door on Newcastle loaning the likes of Ruben Neves from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal, whose Public Investment Fund owners have an 80 per cent stake at St James’ Park. Former Wolves midfielder Neves would be an ideal replacement for Sandro Tonali, who is currently banned for 10 months after breaking gambling rules in Italy.

Should be nowhere near any matches. let alone top flight games. ''On Saturday, Taylor refereed Preston North End's 3-2 win over Coventry City - the first time he had refereed in the second tier since 2019 - and was involved in another controversial penalty decision. The 45-year-old ruled that Kyle McFadzean had brought down Milutin Osmajic in the area, but replays showed the Coventry captain had made minimal contact. O'Neill said: "I feel like I waste my time speaking [to the officials] so I will stop speaking to them. "Until they improve the level of what they produce, I have no time for them."

Israel’s attempt to destroy Hamas will breed more radicalisation, UN expert says Israel’s attempt to wipe out Hamas in response to the attacks of 7 October is likely to breed only further radicalisation, besides being unlawful, the UN special rapporteur on theoccupied Palestinian territories has said. Francesca Albanese also said the international community was “reaping the whirlwind” of failing to heed the concerns of those, including herself, who had criticised Israel’s “systematic repression of Palestinian human rights”. No shit, surely if you'd seen all your family and children maimed and burned you'd warm to the occupiers that did it ?
