Might have done that to get him to score -played them 24 times and never hit the net

One of my first jobs was with Schedule D Inland Revenue. We used to look at peoples accounts for the previous years whether they made a profit or not and send a presumptive tax requisition. It was then up to the business or individual to provide evidence to the contrary. So the EU directive is nothing new.

We have lost 16 of our 37 league fixtures in 2023. Not for 30 years have we lost as many Premier League matches in a calendar year. We need some Russian billionaire to come along.... Also 26 Premier League draws in this fixture, the highest total of any fixture in the competition's history. Utd are unbeaten in 11 league games against us. On the positive...we have won three of our last four away league games, one more than we managed in our previous 16 attempts

Manchester United banned journalists from four media outlets from Tuesday's news conference with boss Erik ten Hag. Journalists from Sky, ESPN, Manchester Evening News and the Mirror were excluded after reporting some players were unhappy with Dutchman Ten Hag.

Incredible - the biggest you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours ever - the tragedy is at the expense of ordinary people and the illusion of 'democracy'. Just so that rich cunts get richer

Man City points deduction: Date set for Premier League trial with verdict to coincide with Guardiola exit The Premier League has been in touch with City to inform them that a trial for the 115 counts against them will be heard in late autumn 2024, just under a year from now. The trial will be the biggest of its kind in world football and could also result in the biggest punishments ever witnessed in the game if City are found guilty of a number of those breaches. ''late autumn 2024, just under a year from now.'' Plenty of time for massive bribes to make them reduce/forget the punishment

VAR has killed any spontaneity. Going to get worse with refs making announcements about VAR, and introduction of sin bins next season. Get ready for cheerleaders, popcorn and Time out.

In the West bank: Israeli missiles, grenades and explosives have left a broad scar of destruction in Jenin - several houses gutted or collapsed; large chunks of masonry hanging over mounds of rubble. Diggers were helping search for a body still believed to be buried there. The small figure on the security camera video turns and starts to run, before falling sharply to the ground. His eight-year-old body easily dragged from the road by a friend. The life of Adam al-Ghoul ended in Jenin today with a shot to the head, as Israeli forces withdrew from a military operation in the camp there. In a nearby street, his 14-year-old friend, Basel Abulwafa was fighting for his life after being shot in the chest - gunfire hitting the ground around him. At Jenin Hospital, both boys were declared dead. The UN says more than 50 children have been killed by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank since 7 October.

I dont think 'democracies have ever been more divisive. US, UK Canada, Europe, even Japan If you go back 25-30 years to the fall of Berlin wall 1989 people respected the opposition. They might not agree with them but accepted the election results. Now 'if you're not with us you're against us and we hate you' Cui bono from dividing people ? -the very rich. However they ought to be careful using their billionaire media barons and social media moguls to stoke disharmony. History shows autocratic regimes are the most likely to confiscate the assets of the rich....

Like your optimism - and there are definite signs there. Amazing home crowd at St james, never easy, Poch up in row Z, and some stupid mistakes - not making excuses but there were conspiring factors that made it look worse than it was. The downside for me is the slow boiling of the frog in terms of a pattern of shit results whereby mediocrity is slowly the norm. Many heads would have rolled under the Russian rule by now, shit results would not be tolerated

Lewis Dunk is out so he is one that wont be getting a free unmarked header on goal
-
We can do this if the defence is tightened up..though impossible to predict nowadays. Good news is Poch back on the touchline
