For me it is quite simple. After eons of Torres, this quality of striker - even with shortcomings even the very best have - does provide the goods. We really needed it and even pure stats back up the fact he is be a succes at our club. I hope he scores a whole pile of goals and I hope he keeps infecting our players with his fighting spirit. He really does that and our am's need it :-)

I really don't think he could really make it here - even in the NT he is in and out a bit. So how would he be the answer for a team like ours. He can be great when in form though.

He indeed seems to have stalled in his development. Too bad, but I don't think he will be a top striker soon. His poor technique and all the accompanying shortcomings (tight spaces capabilities) seems to have caught up with him. Shame, but on his current form I don't even want him in the NT ...
