The one before I was here, you mean ....

I am going to challenge that tbh. Kompany has had to learn when NOT to football and just be the classis CB. He learned the hard way, like Luiz should. In his earlier years he was prone to what Luiz is now - going forward regularly and he was very, very good at it. It did leave holes at the back though and he was criticised for it. I think technically he might even edge it compared to Luiz. He dribbles like a boss, really, always been the Brussels street footballer and played for Belgium and Anderlecht in a midfield role sometimes. He actually excelled in that midfield role for Belgium quite a few times as well. Good, clean technical player Example: In his early days: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HP9aOSoD8vQ&desktop_uri=/watch?v=HP9aOSoD8vQ Or: http://giant.gfycat.com/AgitatedDistortedDegu.gif

Agree with him on the latter. Most people on here believe that our team is very unbalanced but I disagree. Said it at the start of the season that we're probably 2 or 3 signings away from a complete squad which isn't as bad as people are trying to make it out to be. Completely agree. I am inclined to think we will take the slow and thorough route: not buying in january and very strategically filling the gaps during the summer.

A few people did, and those people got roasted on here. Hindsight is a wonderfull thing though Skip :-) Hell, some people get roasted on here for defending Mata or Hazard. Other for believing in Mikel, some hate Torres and some love him. If you dare to say anything about Mou you are a plastic. So, it is more a general cancer of this forum than purely related to KDB. Anyway, if Willian was coming anyway it could have made sense to loan him out at the beginning of the season. Then we would have had all our options open by next season (eg. What if there are major injuries, Mata decides to leave, ...) Now, no loan, three appearances and a half a season later we seem to have given him very, very minimal opportunities. Also, the entire endeavour doesn't really scream 'clear vision' to say the least. If KDB has no place in Chelsea then what has been the use of putting him in the stands for 4-5 months other than risking frustration and group turmoil. I love the kid, he gave us a world cup again after ten years and I hope he shines in his next team.
-
Considering Willian's quality, the opportunity and his desire to play here, it is understandable as well. We knew at least one of them would leave. So yes, rational decision to set him free, really.
-
We have Cahill. Ok. I am reassured!
-
We already have Terry. And how old is he + what can we show in the future?
-
We need to take this seriously. Period. Gala is a handful.

Luiz is proven in Champions League, Kompany has been awful in it these past two years. I'm really looking forward to see if he can handle the real shit. Lol. Really. I'd die to have a leader like him here. Keep tripping.
-
Did you see Kompany's own goal today? Ow comon. Kompany has this once .... Luiz is much, much more a liability.

Do you remember back in the 90's when Eendracht Aalst managed to qualify for uefa cup i think it was? well, i knew their psychologist personally. He was the one who got De Bilde to perform the way he did back then. Anyway, i used to box at that time so he proposed to try some stuff with me. Basically he had a technique to program peoples subconsious for consistent top performances. The results were incrdible to me. I could go on for hours without effort, without ever having to think about my next move. ironically the way to get the best performace is not to play for result but just for the joy of making your every move the best it can be. Anyway he asked for a raise at Eendracht and they refused, so he quit and a year later they were shit again. That is true! You need guys to have a fixed mindset on enjoyment and a learning orientation (eg: not make X passes to the striker, but find x new ways to serve the striker. Then train on that! The results in research are awesome! ). Dortmund, Ajax, Genk, .... do it in the youth system, winning is secondary.

True!! It is called flow and the psychologist that studied is Csikszentmihalyi . However, to have 'flow, you need autonomy in your game and have a shitload of fun in the group. Think Suarez now, he is in what is called 'flow'.

Oscar lost his father in a car crash when he was two years old, once he was in his early teens he made a vouch he would look after his mother & sister, and came through the ranks at one of the most competitive football academies in Brazil. He scored a hat-trick in the U-20 World Cup final and got 12 goals and 12 assists in his first season in Europe playing mostly out wide. He may not look it, but paradoxically, Oscar is one tough motherfucker. I do get your point though, although I think Oscar was a bad example. Fair enough. My point however was more on KDB though, as I said Oscar came out strong even if it took him a year. My bad on the bad English. I don't see KDB as a mentally strong youngster (which has more to do with the personality you are born with than gruesome life experiences)
-
We might be overestimating the mental power of our youngsters. I wonder how Oscar would have been after being treated like KDB in his first year. Oscar came out a star, but his first season was .... Unbalanced.. How can we expect to have a youngster with less experience overcome even more major issues?
-
Marijuana suck and it is ilegal, fuck Uruguay and those who use it He said: 'some dumb people'
-
If there is one thing that i really agree with on KDB and which I said already last year, it is his mental vulnerability when the going gets tough. If you nurture him right, he will walk straight into this team in time. Alas, that is not an option in a silverware needing team. Hazard for example has the opposite mindset: he gets complacent when nurtured and puts in the extra foot when confronted by difficulty. But once Kevin has got the confidence .... Then he is consistently good. Catch 22 really.

Lol. I probably found this funnier than i should have. Who Bans thor? Loki? Aaaaaargh :-) i did 5 years of HIV policy stuff hugely. Belgium is a fore runner now and I fought for it. Thor is my man. But it is an item. Loki ... we should ban him every time :-)

What the hell, man? It is because you have a penis, man

Ow my Chelsea.... Sigh. Makes me sad, really.
