Tendonitis forces Chelsea defender David Luiz out of Brazil friendly against Germany Chelsea defender David Luiz will not be fit to take part in Brazil's showpiece friendly against Germany in Stuttgart on Wednesday. Luiz, who represented his country in the recent Copa America in Argentina, has a minor knee problem and will now focus on ensuring his full fitness for the start of the Premier League season next week. "Defender David Luiz, who has tendonitis in his left knee, is unavailable for the Brazilian national team's friendly against Germany," read a statement on the Brazilian football federation website. Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas acknowledged the problem followingthe club's 3-1 friendly win over Rangers on Saturday afternoon but does not believe it is too serious. "David Luiz should get back to training soon," he told Chelsea's official website. "He felt a slight pain in his knee in his first training session after he came back. "It's something he didn't feel in the Copa America and it's not the reason why he didn't play. That was just the manager's decision. "But he's only had half-an-hour training with us, although he should get back this week to full training." Chelsea begin their season with a trip to the Britannia Stadium to face Stoke City next Sunday.

I don't usually I don't post much but feel like posting. People are saying torres has shown nothing this season where I think his shown flashes of his past self e.g against us and against west ham. I think we should give him atleast a season before we hang him out to dry.

Zenit offer Chelsea cash plus Bruno Alves for out-of-favour Alex Chelsea have been offered Zenit St Petersburg defender Bruno Alves in a swap deal for Alex - but the Russians' initial bid to lure the Brazil centre back has been rejected. Zenit manager Luciano Spalletti contacted Chelsea about the 28-year-old last week. Alex has fallen down the pecking order after David Luiz's £25million transfer from Benfica in January. Zenit are prepared to include cash, as well as Alves, in their attempts to sign Alex. Alves only joined Zenit from Porto in an £18million deal last August and has made 24 appearances.

I watched the Chelsea match on a stream and after that didn't want to check the net as I didn't want to know the other scores untill MotD. Then I just got a text from some one going "HAHA bye bye Ancelotti", I can't belive his gone and i'm gutted. He is great man but something has lacked this season I don't know if it was Carlo, Injuries, the players or a mix of any. I feel sorry for Carlo and wish him good luck where ever he goes.
