In Belgian papers today : Chelsea want to keep Courtois. They will offer him an extension and upgrade to his current contract.
-
Don't forget 16 year old Musonda and Schrijvers.
-
Chelsea has been Lukaku's favourite team for many years.
-
So Lukaku's humble and De Bruyne's arrogant? Sure...
-
I'm missing his assist for Ramires against Man Utd.
-
You'll love his in-game-mentalitity. He hates losing, and will keep running to win the game. When losing he gets annoyed and a little grumpy, but he'll always take his responsibility on the pitch and has lots of ambition. Off the field he's a normal guy, a bit shy.
-
Hazard would to play at the number 10-position. You can see that he's not a real winger, he drifts inside constantly.
-
There's a big difference between playing well for WBA or playing well for Chelsea. You can see that he's at his best when WBA switch from defence to offence very fast and when there's lots of space behind the opponents defensive line. He can use his strength and pace in those situations. At Chelsea there won't be that many games that Chelsea can play this kind of couter-attack-football. He still has to improve his game in tight spaces and his one-touch-passes to succeed at Chelsea. For that reason i would loan him for another season, but to a team that plays a more dominant style of football.

Really like the play at 3:25, great control of a difficult high ball and immediatelly cross the ball with his left foot.
-
Didn't look at the ball for a second taking that penalty, had his eyes on the goalkeeper the whole time.
-
Belgium's best player in tonight's game against Slovakia. Played as a (offensive) central midfielder, together with Dembele en Witsel.
-
Courtois is top quality and will be world class, but don't underestimate the step from Primera Division to Premier League. The PL is a completely different type of league for a goalkeeper. If Courtois wants to end up in the Premier League as goalkeeper for Chelsea, I would recommend he is loaned to another Premier League-side next season. Selling Cech to make Courtois number 1 could be a costly decision if he has some trouble in his first season in the PL, both for Chelsea and Courtois.
-
You can't draw conclusions like that from some internet statistics-page. He's played his best games in the CM position in a team that's dominant over their opponents. With all respect to Josh, i doubt that he has better vision/passing then De Bruyne at the moment.
-
It will all depend on Chelsea's plans with Courtois. As someone here said before, Courtois won't risk losing his place in the national team to sit on the bench at Chelsea. If Chelsea won't let him have a fair shot at the number 1 at Chelsea, he'll want to play elsewhere. It's an option to loan him to another team for one year, but you can't keep putting him out on loan for 3-4 more years.
-
Every attacking move goes through him. Could have had 3/4 assists and some goals. Great game.
-
Neymar scores goal in the Brazilian League and national team. You can't compare that with a young player in his first season in the PL. The Brazilian League is far worse defensively.

If you watch De Bruyne's highlights at Youtube you can see that he is able to do a lot of trickery. When it's appropriate in a game, he performs those tricks, but most of the time he sticks to a direct style of play, which isn't a bad thing. When it's time for gallery-play, he won't disappoint you, just watch him at youtube. For example : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qp9RmAgVQNw At 15 seconds :

Kicker named him Bremen's best transfer and gave him a 8/10.
-
He once said he didn't like the "serious" mentality of the Germans in the region he's living in and that he was missing the warmth of the people in Belgium. That's not "always moaning" and that certainly doesn't make him a flop as he's been Bremen's best player this season. Ridiculous.
-
He could be, but the problem lies in the "instant"-part of your sentence. Some say Cech will be here for another 5 years. Courtois won't wait that long to become number one...
-
De Bruyne is involved in every Bremen-attack. Nice defensive workrate when Nurnberg scores.
-
His best games for his previous club were in the double pivot-role, together with Khaleem Hyland.
-
It's not true that he "hardly does any defensive work at Bremen". He played in a double pivot on several occassions and never ignored his defensive duties.
-
The positive side in that line up is that you can adapt your formation to the 3-5-2-formation Juventus is playing in : -------------------Hazard ----------Mata------------Oscar Cole - ----Mikel - Ramires - Azpilicueta --------- Luiz - Cahill - Ivanovic

Well, at Everton he plays as an attacking midfielder just behind striker Jelavic. That's the position he has excelled in the most in my opinion. As a Belgian, I'm not sure if Fellaini is the right player for Chelsea. If you play Fellaini in the same role as Everton does, as an attacking midfielder, it has an influence on the way your team is playing. In the national team we noticed that the team is actually playing better without Fellaini. He is so strong and wins almost every high ball causing his teammates to play high balls more often. I'm not saying that Fellaini is not a technical player, he is actually pretty good with his feet, but I don't think he would fit in as an attacking midfielder at one of the topclubs. At Chelsea, Man Utd, City,... other things are demanded from an attacking midfielder then at a club like Everton.
