  1. I'm not writing him off, not at all. I really believe in KDB and I think he could be a very good player for Chelsea (or almost every other team). But just look at the facts, there are 5 AM's ahead of him, none of them will probably leave in january, all of them are young players,... There's just no way that KDB will get enough game-time at Chelsea without 1-2 AM's leaving in january or in the summer. And that won't happen.
  2. Don't agree, there would be even more outroar if they wouldn't even make it to the bench. They're players with a bigger reputation and cost more money.
  3. I don't think he'll perform that well to change his situation at Chelsea. De Bruyne is a player who needs games and confidence to be at his best, at the moment he has neither. And even if he performs well tonight, it won't change anything anyway. There's no way De Bruyne will surpass Oscar, Willian, Schurlle, Mata or Hazard in the pecking order of AM's. They are international players that cost a lot of money. The arrival of Willian has created a situation where KDB won't even make it to the bench when everyone's fit, regardless the way he performs.
  4. Actually, it wasn't that great performance from KDB, second time after the Croatia-game. But there are some positive signs. I noticed three things : - KDB is lacking in confidence. He lost more balls and gave away too many bad passes for his standard. - That being said, he is trying really hard not let it affect his overall game. He always kept asking the ball, trying the passes he normally tries,... He tries to take his responsibility, even when he's not in his best form. - He looked extremely motivated. From the start of the game he started running and I don't think he stopped for 90 minutes. Even though the game wasn't all that important anymore, he worked his socks of, in an effort to get back to his normal form. Is there a website to check how many miles he ran during this game? The goal was an excellent finish and you could see in his celebration that it meant a lot to him in the current circumstances. After the goal he gained confidence and started to play better. Could have had a second goal if Bakkali gave the ball to KDB instead of Lukaku. Hopefully the goal will help him to get back to his best at Chelsea.
  5. So strong and so technical, impossible to take the ball away from him.
  6. Congratulation, your country is going to Brazil. As you might know, seen here, I always enjoyed watching your team, still root for them & I will in Brazil. One of the most gifted teams I have seen in years. Witsel was absolutely massive tonight!
  7. This is what happens when you are not playing consistently at his age. If I were Belgian I'd be freaking out if he doesnt get a loan move in January. You dont want your key player being a bit part player in a world cup year...especially when they are as young as him. De Bruyne just needs games and confidence. It's a difficult situation, needs games to play better, but needs to play better to get games. But he'll be alright. His father said yesterday that he has stayed silent in the press the past few weeks and just keeps working hard to get in the team. If it doesn't change in the next few months, he'll get a loan in January.
  8. Seems logical. Courtois has been living in Spain for three years, Barcelona are looking for a successor to Valdes and Chelsea won't sell Cech next summer because he has been performing well. Both Cech and Courtois at Chelsea seems like overkill and won't happen anytime soon as both are too good to be on the bench. Next summer will be decision-time, either sell Cech or sell Courtois.
  9. You are truly serious about the NT-comparison apparantly. Beating Italy and Spain with Brazil instead of beating Croatia and Serbia with Belgium apparantly is a valid argument to prove that Oscar's better. Seriously? In my opinion you are doing exactly the same you are blaming "all of the Belgians on this board" of. Oscar clearly is your favorite Chelsea-player, so it's probably not worth further discussion between us both. No-one said Oscar is shit. One guy said Oscar's last season had lots of meh-games. In your opinion, I'm, and with me all the other Belgians, just here to defend the Belgian Chelsea-players. Well I'm not. It's not just Chelsea, I've always been bothered by coaches using double standards, especially if they are more critically towards younger players and more lenient towards more experienced players. There are more experienced Chelsea-players that haven't played one convincing game this season. Yet they don't get publically punished for one bad game. While they are experienced players from who you should expect even more convincing games then a young player playing his first season in the Premier League. Yet the older players are still with the team and one of the younger players gets stick publically for a bad cup-game. Ofcourse Mourinho has every right to expect more from De Bruyne, but he should not treat him like he did yesterday.
  10. So in your opinion Oscar is better then Bale too? Oscar's is Brazil's #10 and Bale is only an AM in Wales' national team? I'm not saying that comparing club performance is unfair, there's almost nothing to compare. In the 2 games De Bruyne and Oscar played in the PL, I don't think one was better then the other. They both had a decent/good game against Hull and both were mis-used in the Utd-game. I just think that if De Bruyne got the game-time Oscar did, he would do as well as Oscar is doing. Partly because I like De Bruyne's attributes more to play as a number 10. For me, Oscar doens't create enough chances for a number 10, I don't think he has assisted a goal this season? He's good at finishing chances though.
  11. Which wasn't undeserved but flattering. You're not the only one who knows Kevin's abilities, he shouldn't have been dropped for ManU, but in the games he got a chance afterwards he sucked. It's not easy being thrown in front of the lions when you don't have any matchrythm, but he needs to learn, and he will. Don't mind Henrique btw, he likes to stir up shit when he can. Your reaction was exactly what he wanted. GameS after the Man Utd game? One game, the Swindon-game...
  12. True, but that's an important IF. At the moment, I don't think Oscar or Schurrle are better then De Bruyne. If De Bruyne would have gotten the playing-time Oscar has, I'm convinced he would do as good or better then Oscar. I really like Oscar's finishing, but he's got so many games where he isn't important in the build-up or isn't creating chances for other players. Like the game on saturday, the complete first half I thought he was absent. However, Oscar won't be "punished" for playing average because he's the type of player Mourinho really likes.
  13. Courtois already declared in one of his previous interviews that the Atletico-staff ask him to stay down as long as he can after a save when they are winning the game. At Genk he was trained to try to launch a counter-attack in those situations, but in Spain they want him to "act" to win some time. I don't like it at all, but he's just doing what the staff asks him to.
  14. True, De Bruyne should stay calm and work hard, he doesn't really has another option. I just think that this decision is partly made because De Bruyne's reputation is still the one of a "minor" players. Some of the other AM's don't play much better, you can't deny that, but De Bruyne is the easiest to leave out the squad. You have much more faith in Mourinho then I do. I used to be a fan of Mourinho's style, but at Inter and Madrid he's developed to much into a reaction-based coach. Looking for controversy and always adapting his team to the opposition's side. He gets the results, but I've seldom really enjoyed watching his previous teams. With the talent he's got at his disposal, I'd prefer a team that gets results, in a beautiful way, like Dortmund and Bayern did last year. But I get your point, just remember that not every Belgian is just here for the Belgian player. You can be Belgian AND Chelsea-fan.
  15. You're doing the same thing you blame the Belgians. It's Mourinho's decision, so it's the right one and no-one should doubt it. So just because Mourinho gets payed by Chelsea, all of his decisions are correct? To be honest, I've seen a couple of bad decisions made by Mourinho this season. The 4 AM's and no striker at United, playing Ramires as a right midfielder against Tottenham, refusing to play Mata,... not everything Mourinho does is gold. De Bruyne deserves his chance just as much as Oscar and Schurrle do. It's not about Belgians or the Belgian national team, it's about Mourinho making the easiest decision, but not the right one, while everyone watching Chelsea's games can see that De Bruyne can add something to this team. He proved this against Hull, the only game where he really got his chance.
  16. He's got his chance? When? Against Hull? Great assist for Oscar and Motm-reward. Man Utd? Playing with 4 AM's and no striker looking for a draw is indeed a real chance for an attacking midfielder with his main ability being able to create chances. And there's the Swindon game. His first half was bad, his second half was better. I seriously doubt it was much worse than Oscar's game against Spurs, or one of Schurrles games. Haven't seen Willian play very good either. De Bruyne is just the easiest victim for Mourinho. There won't be a Mata-story in the papers as De Bruyne doesn't have the price tag other players in his position have. So it's easy for Mourinho to sacrifice him.
  17. De Bruyne is better then Mata defensively. Last season at Bremen De Bruyne ran the most miles of the entire Bundesliga if I'm not mistaken. At Genk he succesfully played the CM role. Ofcourse he still needs to grow to be as good defensively in the Premier League but I'm convinced he's better in tracking back then Mata. I seriously doubt your stat about the national team. Belgium's national team play with one targetman Benteke and with three players behind him. I seriously doubt De Bruyne averaged being more forward the last three games then Benteke. De Bruyne always plays the part the coach asks of him. In the NT his primary goal is to create chances and be decisive. And that's exactly what he has done this campaign. Mourinho is just wrong on this one. De Bruyne was part of the most succesfull Chelsea-team this season, which was the team in the first half against Hull. After that game he played at Man Utd where Mourinho chose to be unexistent in attack by playing 4 AM's and no striker. After that he only played one game against Swindon. You can't punish De Bruyne for playing one bad game if you see the number of average games played by Schurrle and mostly Oscar. Mourinho hasn't played the Hull-team in any of the games after the Hull-game. There is no way people can justify this if you see the lack of quality-games played by Chelsea this season. Ofcourse lots of people will defend Mourinho. But there will come a time when we're looking at De Bruyne the way we look at a player like Sturridge, thinking "if only"... He's got something special, something that ables to always create chances, but at the moment Mourinho's is ruining his career at Chelsea.
  18. Has been enormous in the second half. Never lost a ball and created some fine chances.
  19. Players like Mata, Willian, De Bruyne and Schurrle would do so much better. Apart from the first 45 minutes against Hull, I haven't been convinced by Mourinho's tactics. It's just so boring watching this Chelsea,
  20. You can't loan De Bruyne to a Championship side. He's worth 15 million. His first half wasn't good, his second half was better. He needs regular playing time to be at his best.
  21. The only player that will look for this kind of passes. He will always create chances and really should be given more playing-time.
  22. Chelsea's best game this season was when we played Hazard-Oscar-De Bruyne with a real striker. After that game, they haven't played together anymore. Real shame and not the right decision in my opinion. Mourinho said after the Basel-game that they couldn't create a lot of opportunities. Well, if only you had someone on the bench with the perfect abilities for such a problem, don't you José.
  23. He sure has the quality to be a key player. But if you look at the pricetags of Mata, Willian and Hazard, they will be the primary AM's and then there's Oscar. Not even Mourinho will ignore the price tags of these players. Poor decision from the board. They should have bought a worldclass striker instead.
  24. Will never happen in this season. Hazard-Mata-Willian will be the primary players for the 3 AM-positions. De Bruyne will be benched mostly if this goes through.
  25. It would be a real shame if De Bruyne will be the victim of Willian's transfer.
