I get the reasoning behind selling high-value players like Kovacic, Mount and Kai first to ease the selling pressure to then be in a better position to offload the absolute deadwood but if we get bent over for those, we will actually be in a worse position than before due to the precedent set. In any case we should not budge. We may need to sell players but those three mentioned are in high demand. Still it will continue to haunt me forever how we spunked out 600m on players that are mostly absolute shite and way worse than the ones we are now trying to offload first (which we are forced to cos the dregs we bought were so overpriced and are now unmovable bc of wages an being shit ofc). Sterling is no better than Kai and 4y older , Cucu is not really better than Azpi, Mudryk is way worse than Mount or even Pulisic, not even gonna start with how we downgraded with fkin K2. Him and Bowen, proper hard working classic PL-Style wingers with a very similar well rounded balance of pace, skill, size and overall robustness will torment defenders next season. Guerreiro was one of TT‘s favourite players at Dortmund. Part of the new structure after firing the directors is more power to TT. This transfer clearly has his handwriting. Also Guerrerio has been under fire for some time now due to his lack of defending. His departure does not weaken Dortmund too much, so this is different. The real top player Dortmund develop like Bellingham don’t go to Bayern anymore. They have ceased to be financially competitive here.

I like your idea of having someone more experienced as DM option next to our young guns. As I have understood it the boehly midfield signings are more similar to Enzo in the sense that they are aspiring playmakers rather than destroyers so the latter would be what we need more of after ngolos and kovas likely departures. Which is why we were after ugarte. So zubimendi from what I have heard does not fit the profile i have already gone on record with K Thuram as my favourite option. But maybe if we consider this a long term project we might be prefer an experienced dm who does not instantly claim being 1st choice there but allows the young ones like santos or casadei to grow. One very cheap, underwhelming but ultimately dependable option we might consider is ndidi who surely can do job if he stays injury free then someone who is severely underrated by almost everyone is Anton Stach from Mainz, one of the main reasons for their stellar season. Top 5 dm in Bundesliga for sure. German DMs are often underrated bc they are more tactical than athletic. Imagine a German prime Matic. Huge physical presence, forever legs that just hook the ball from underneath opponents, crunching slide tackles, surprising agility and dribbling ability for a players of this built. Venomous shot as well, ambipedal at that. Maybe not the most polished player but experienced, very calm , super hard working attitude. Makes you win the tactical battles in midfield and wins back balls anywhere on the pitch. Complements Enzo almost to a t.

These kind of players struggle badly as soon as they lose their last little bit of pace like Mata did and almost never are starters at a top club afterwards. Probably will only be a squad player at pool. Does not fit into our concept with pacey attackers and tough tackling DMs. Hard pass.

But a) we are not selling him to Wolfsburg or Rome, so the probabililty he will haunt us in PL is a bit lower. b) We got 3 decent year out of him and have a clearer picture of his abilities than with KDB and Salah who we only got to see bits of c) he has had ample chance to develop here and at almost 24 is much further ahead in his development than kdb and salah were, his ceiling is more predictable d) Salah and Kdb would never have become they players they are now here

If Real are going this strong for Kai, we have to milk them. He played out of his skin in a system that nagelsmann designed for him, other than taht scoring like 15-20 goals allcomps while startin most games is probably a realistic long term return for him anywhere outside England.

Maatsen is not that good and Cucu is terrible. We should consider just terminating Cucu or sending him to the reserves (doubt anyone would buy or even loan him) and roll with just Chilwell and Hall.

Not exactly sure what we need ugarte for when we have Enzo. They look very similar to me but have not followed him too closely. Would have preferred a midfielder who chips in with a goal or assist every once in a while instead of someone with a massive 3 senior goals all career
