At least we know now that he enjoys unsolicitedly roaming around Cobham in a suit in his free time. Even other than stalling on contracts that guy has weird hobbies.

Pulisic is clearly a short ectomorph so no chance of that happening till his 40ies

Thank god, I do not use twitter. I would be in a constant state of rage. It is not possible to condemn racism too often or too much. Also hate how this shadows the public image of the club and we can do nothing about it. But it is obviously worse for Tammy. I am confident he will handle this and wish him to bounce back even more now. And before anyone comes calling me a hypocrite, yes I still think Tammy is not the type of player we need, but I hope I am wrong and he has my support on this.

Dafuq. That is the exact opposite of the type of Player Werner actually is. He is a counter attacking pace merchant of a striker. He covers a lot of ground often found on the wings and in the channels. His finishing is not top notch nor is his goal instinct. But he does have a powerful shot and can control and move the ball at a high tempo.
-
I wondered that too. He sure is versatile. Can play every position in midfield and on the wing. I dont think our finishing can get any worse so it is worth a shot.

I think we should separate the two points popularity and physical demand of the sports. Some of the more niche sports have the craziest athletes. The most physically demanding sport I ever played is Rugby (where I stepped on the pitch for a 2nd Bundesliga game having started doing the sport only 4 days before). Also basketball, Tennis and football are all popular enough that I would not expect there to be an issue that lack of popualirty would cause them to be not demanding enough physically anyway. The other point, I think footballers complaining about playing every 3 days is because of conditioning. Footballers are conditioned to play once or twice a week and when this goes on, obviously their limits are gonna show. Especially when teams face each other that are in different competitions and have different schedules. If every football team would play every day like Tennis players, the game would be different. There would be more breaks, bigger squads and a less overall intensity in single regular season games. But usually the commercialization pushes the freuqency quicker than the regulation around it accomodates it. But football is different than Tennis and BAsketball in the way they are marketed. People watch regular season nba games mostly at the side and only turn in for the major turnaments and big matches. In football every match is an event in itself so people expect peak presentation. But when you need to be fit to the point 60 games per year you will disappoint people from time to time. So the busier the schedule in football gets, the more it will be like a high-frequency US sport. For better or for worse. But I do not think that this early in the season, freshness will be that much of a problem playing twice per week. The human body is capable of quickly adapting to physical challenges. Sure we will not be as fresh as Leicester but i rather think Leicester will be better prepared tactically as they had a full week to train for that. So we need to simply show our superior quality. But that is the way it has always been for top teams and I would not want it any other way.

As much as it pains me to say, we will never buy Mbappe. Even though we could financially afford it, he would never join us sadly. If we want a world beater we need to buy him before he gets the hype and develop him ourselves.
-
You have understood nothing. It is not about his numbers. His numbers will be fine. He will finish his career with 100+ top flight goals. But nor for Chelsea. these chances he got today are the exact situations were players show their true colors on the big occasion. They are there to be seized by those who have what it takes. I dont blame Abraham. Most players will falter under that pressure. Only the great ones succeed. Cos that is what makes them great. Abraham is no such great player.
-
I agree. But in tennis or basketball al teams have that schedule. Here we are at a clear disadvantage to Leicester who could prepare for us all week. Still we are the better side. Vardy is an old man and the others are not that quick either. We should be able to win this. We just need to take our chances and we can beat any side.
-
Man or mouse. When Rashford made his debut he scored two goals, never looked back since. You either have it or you dont that swagger that unfaltering confidence that badass attitude that killer instinct. That penalty is the one moment you look forward to since you are a boy and there is only one thing you can do. Strike it with conviction in a sensible direction. Stand up and be counted. Tammy did not in any way give the Impression that he was up to the occasion. He is not ready and will never be. If it had been a good pen and Adrian had pulled out a great save then fair play. But the tame pathetic way he shot it gave away who he truly is. No Chelsea material. He might become a better player, he might become a regular goalscorer or an allround forward. But he will never be a world class striker.
-
Chilwell is overrated and has Enlgish tax on him. I do not see him as fundamentally better player than Emerson. If we were to sign someone to start over Emerson he should nto only be better at the basic stuff but also offer something different. Anyway, I can make do with any defenders we have right now. Midfield is fine anyway. If i could have any signing I just would want a world class striker no matter what.
-
He is a good player. Quick and good with the ball at his feet. Top finish for the offside goal too. Even if they do not count, you can pull confidence from them as they were scored in a full pressure situation.
-
We have still just scored 1 goal from open play with about 20 golden chances missed. I dont expect this to become betzer with the current personnel.
-
I probably hat this so much beause I am German. We have been to 8 world cup finals, more than any other country, only winning 4 of them but being the worse side in all of them as well.
-
Feels like shit having to be proud on a fucking pen loss. Especially if it is so predictable. Already feels like absolute shit being the nearly there, would be. Worst possible start to the season but I honestly did not expect more. But if we win vs Leicester, which i expect us to do, I will be somewhat compensated. But losing this thing 3 times in a row is the absolute worst. Also the third final penalty shoot out lost in a row.
-
Yup he should have known esp as he had been in the exact same situation vs Bayern 6 years ago. baffling decision.
-
Both Bats and Giroud are great options from the bench oder as starters vs poor teams. Tammy is absolutely useless. Maybe we should morph RLC into a striker like Conte tried.
-
Absolutely honoured to have him.
-
Cant believe we always have this bad luck. Almost always lose pens. Frankfuet and Munich aside when did we ever win an important shoot out. And 25 times the fucking woodwork in 12 months. Must be kidding.and if there was one player i would not be confident taking pens its Tammy. He is just absolutely awful.
-
We are absolute experts at being the better team and lose. I wish it was the other way round.
-
Kepa should have at least kept out one of those he got a touch to. Tammy is just a poor player. would never let someone who is such a torres take the penalty with most pressure on
-
Inter are probably already looking forward to buying Tammy in 6 years.
-
Now loan Abraham to everton and sell for 40m. then he becomes a beast, joins ManU and so on.
-
abraham doing the lukaku....
-
fuck it.
