Yup it’s quite tight. Didn’t expect it tbf. Newcastle and Manure really fked the PL with their lazy performances in CL going out altogether when it would have been easier to at least get into EL. Both don’t belong into CL but EL is their level. anyway it won’t matter, we will not get fifth this season… or next

We paid as much for the feckless Caicedo who is not even half as gifted technically or physically as Osimhen. While I am not a fan of these mega buys anyway and not 100% sold on Osimhen, a proven world class striker in his prime in the 24 to 27 age bracket (which apparently many think Osimhen is) should surely warrant that price tag more than any other.

Gusto has been among our few somewhat promising looking boehly signings along with Palmer, badiashile, Enzo and to an extent Sterling and Nkunku. The remaining 25 or so are probably just not good enough and also don’t look like they can be motivated. But I doubt someone will take them off us save for those painful subsidised rip off loans . But we have to get rid somehow cos the new zombie dregs are dragging down the rest with their no fks given attitude. The express is a parlous source anyway so doubt we will manage to shift a lot of players.

It has to be by some margin the most spectacular failure of a club takeover and transfer strategy in football history . Even all the sheiks were reality-conscious enough to just hand the reins to actual football ppl and confine themselves to pumping in money. But Boehly&cos arrogance to think their moneyball Model to be so universally powerful they can just jam us into it. What they did is in fact way worse than just a collection of Uber-expensive bonkers signings like Romans Torres, Lukaku or Shevchenko brainfarts. Instead, while spending the same absurd amount of money, we irrevocably tied the fate of this club to a wild collection of moderately talented weak minded, hyped up, immature would-be superstars based on some bogus transient stats model. By handing out retirement contracts to 20 somethings we made sure to attract the least ambitious hypeboys available instead of actually hungry prodigies. At the same time the overall culture at the club has been degraded from a brutal but winning one to improvised slacking, slapstick and amateurism at every level which has also affected the more experienced figures carried over from the Roman era. But not only have boehly&co ruined the squad. The terrible results, performances and overall representation of the club in the media is rapidly chasing off the more casual fans. You see it in this forum and others but also in the social media following as well as the even more eerie atmosphere at the bridge. As a consequence, commercial revenue is bound to take a massive hit. So not only did they massively overestimate their ability on the sporting side but also failed at what they were supposed to be good at, not only eradicated most of the elite, winning principles implanted into the dna of the club but also failed to deliver on their promises to develop it.

At least he is expensive. Add to that he is shit so with him being over 20 that is 2/3 boxes ticked for our board

Told you Bayern would do their job glad it’s Kopenhagen to make it through not gala. Deserved but manure not even being in el is bad news. They can concentrate on getting 5th once they sacked ten Haag
-
Would be shocked if manure won this bayern usually don’t make too much of a fuss in these fixtures. Frankfurt was a blip. They will be expected to bounce back and have too much quality.
-
I was obviously kidding. I don’t doubt they are successful franchise owners in US sports. But they are out of their depth in football and still think throwing money at average 20 yos will solve their problems here. It does not matter. Unless we start acquiring actual proven quality we will decline further as a club
-
Titles? Nah they probably just have financial domination fetish
-
60m for a slightly above average striker months away from match shaprness who mainly scores penalties. Great.
-
It doesn't matter if Poch or the whole squad or whever is sacked. As long as we have these owners, everything will be done on clown level. I can promise you, we will not ever get back into CL under this current ownership.
-
Maatsen is just absolute shit. Have you ever seen us score when he was on the field? Whenever we are behind he comes on at some point and does zilch. No idea why anybody rates him. Subbing him on is basically throwing the towel.
-
Carbon copy of the brentford match. This side is absolutely dismal and deserves every loss they take cos they are just weak minded bottle jobs.
-
Didn’t they also beat city at some point? i don’t think he is a fraud , just overrated and clearly can’t reach this team. No one can. I keep repeating it every week. These players just don’t give a fk. Most came here bc they get an 8 yr retirement contract. All they need to do is show up. The club is basically a welfare lottery organisations We are mostly not attracting ambitious talent but just young brats who want to capitalize on their overblown hype and lock in generational wealth before anyone finds out . Sadly our board is dumb enough to fall for their crap. So generous to bankroll some random families for generations.
-
Spoiler alert. We can’t
-
Imagine some were talking about getting top 5 just few days ago 😂
-
So coming. Absolutely no surprise. These low intensity deep bus games we always tend to concede from their one chance game over
-
The double standards are a joke cole Palmer stumbles clearly evading a tackle and gets up without making a fuss - gets a yellow for diving everyon defender almost whacks Cole’s leg off - gets game halted for injury break
-
So he notices he has flu 30mins into a game. surely a hamstring injury bc he is as flexible as a lead stick
-
Then again Manure should have scored 5+ sanchez made some amazing saves and none of their players apart from mctominay could finish their dinner Bournemouth are far from great, manure are ordinary at best but we are just a torrid side atm, no excuses
-
I don’t get this outnumbered thing. manure and us both played 4231 we had Enzo caicedo double pivot and Mudryk/Palmer as no 10 they had mctominay amra DP and penandes no 10 caicedo is just poor no matter which formation. City have rodri, arse have rice, manure have mct. None of them cost remotely what caicedo did. iMposing midfielders, taking responsibility, scoring important goals. Even endo and Douglas Luis are performing way better than Caicedo. Dude is just washed already at 22. Tons of money down the drain just like Cucurella, Mudryk, madueke, and all these other stupid signings from our daft board.
-
We lost half our ‚winnable’ games this season already. It doesn’t matter if we are 8 points or 80points off 5th we ain’t getting it. This group of players is inconsistent at best and shit their pants whenever it counts. We should be happy if we finish top half. Sure theoretically if we tuen around Form and string 5+ wins together it’s doable but for this group of players it utopian. Whenever they surprisingly are in the mood, play well and win, they will just think job done and tank the next game bc they simply don’t give a fk.
-
Enzo has always been inconsistent but we have seen him and know what he is capable of. Obviously we overpaid by 60m but he had just played the tournament of his life and we needed a Jorginho replacement. Caicedo on the other hand is just a fraud. Ppl on here cheery-picked stats of his to paint a BS picture he was ‚dominating‘ PL. truth his he is and always has been a run of the mill average player who goes missing when the going gets tough. He was shoved around the field for Brighton cos he is just a pair of legs but unable to nail down a position. core of the problem is that our board and the ppl in charge of scouting and evaluating talent are just as clueless as the hype boys on twitter or some on this forum who big up up every kid who puts in decent tackle or scores a screamer one time.
-
I think not being used to play on midweek and the sort of game we had vs Brighton may have played a part. Actually, Poch admitted as much in his post match. If indeed poor conditioning and mental preparation was too at fault, Major blame goes to Poch and his staff. These guys are mostly in their physical prime and should be fitness beasts. Our old guard from 2008 on mostly in their 30ies consistently soldiered through 60 game seasons without any such lacklustre performances
