Never heard of it before. Bingx is apparently the 27th largest crypto currency exchange listed on coinmarketcap, has never turned in a profit and is probably shady. Boehly is such business genius . Can so see this blowing up in our faces after the stake and paramount fiascos. At least their logo is not completely hideous . Anyone found how much exactly we get?

I also did not like the "you all" statement. I wrote a plethora of posts why i did not want him and why he is not good enough in summer and loads of ppl on here agreed. Now, I can't even help but notice that he is even worse than I thought. While I am aware there are some handpicked statistics that with a bit of fantasy make him look like he was one of the better mids in PL last season. But from the eye test alone you could see that he lacks the talent and technique to play for a big club. He might have averaged more tackles than Rodri last season but still the latter is 100x the player Caicedo will ever be. You do not need to be a scout or a statistician to see that. Many of our signings have been based on Boehly's weird moneyball approach. So through that lens, Caicedo may look like the ideal player. But football is not like Baseball or Basketball where there are so many quantifiable plays that the law of large numbers gives you statistics with some predictive value. Football is the opposite. A low scoring game where mathces are decided by few vital moments. The moments where Caicedo routinely comes up short. How many chances have we already conceded, how many points lost because of his stupid errors and braindead turnovers. Other DMs like Rice, Douglas luiz, Palhinha, Rodri are not perfect eitehr but they at least try to take responsibilty when the going gets tough - some score big goals at times, even though its not their main job. Caicedo is the opposite. Not only is the mere idea of Caicedo scoring a late winner a joke in itself. Whenever it is crunch time in a tight game we routinely get overrun in midfield and Caicedo is the main culprit - passager at best, assist king for the opposition at worst. At this point it is hard to find a worse DM in the league. Clearly, he was still way better not only statistically last season at Brighton than he is for us but this now is not some blip in form. If you look at his career the outlier was last season not this. He got some purple patch going last season and made a few nice tackles that caught the eye. Many of his statisics are also skewed by the fact that he played some games in defence so he naturally got more tackles in than other midfielders. Now his purple patch has passed and he is back to being the average player he actually is. Sometimes it is that simple.

I would have taken Barella in the fernandez role instead as well. Far superior player albeit Fernandez may still become better. But Caicedo was always going to be a failure. i was lukaku-level certain that he would be a bust from the outset. It is not only about the price tag but where did Boehly got the idea that you need to spend 100m+ on a fkin DM. Pick any DM available for 60m or less and he would have done a better job than Caicedo. It is this weird idea that we need to have the best possible super young player for every position no matter the price. At some point Boehly will learn that sometimes you should just buy the finished product. But I fear he has another few billions to burn on braindead transfers till he does.

Funny thing is, before the match I expected us to waste a ton of chances. During, I said that I'd rather have taken our extraordinary ruthlessness in a tight match and in the end it turned out to be exactly that. Any less of a clinical, ruthless display in front of goal today and we would have lost. Not to mention all three finishes were of sublime quality. So credit to Luton for still putting up a fight and requiring an incredible conversion rate from our side, 2 woodwork hits and worldclass save to be beaten. While on their visit to the bridge they were quite rough today they played proper football instead of kicking our players out of furstration.

Personally I would not sell Gallagher , he is plays like a true blue. But if it economically necessary please ask more than 40m. This season he has made a step up and this should be reflected in the valuation. anyway, I have heard from a friend who is close to Dortmund that Maatsen has held talks with them. They are likely to come around with an offer of around 20m euros - half of what we were offered in summer when the fraud declined
-
Maybe midfield is not set up optimally but that does not change the fact that Caicedo just lacks the quality. He is nothing but pathetic 95% of games. He makes clownish errors every game, gives the ball away under no pressure , his passing range is steaky at best , he is slow and weak, his ability on the ball is U15 standard. We should accept he is a sunk cost.
-
Looks like he is the real deal. The first goal was already classy af but how confidently he handled the one on one for the second was just - well cold
-
At this point there can be not debate who our best defender is. Losing Silva in summer would be like cutting an arm off.
-
That is just his level. Forget what he did in Brighton when shoehorned at full back and stuff like this. He has had 20+ games for us, most at full fitness and all have been shit bar two average ones. He is just an embarrassingly bad player.
-
No, that is just him. He is terrible on the ball.
-
That lineup is shocking again. Not only are broja and jackson terrible, they have 0 chemistry. Today has the potential to set another cahcne wasting record. I can see why no mudryk, bc this pitch is tiny. Still, this is the 3rd time he benches him after scoring. how is a player gonna build confidence this way? And no Nkunku probably bc he is not yet fit enough to play twice within 4 days. but no sterling who is our best dribbler? weird.

You proved yourself wrong there Obviously he has more European experience than a major part of our squad. 🤔 But that is not even the question. Rather why is that even relevant when we will not play in Europe for years i don’t see any similarity to modeste. Completely different playing styles and modeste was at Blackburn when he was comparatively inexperienced. Guirassy has decent reputation in Bundesliga. We would just sign him on a short term contract. For 15m that would not be a problem financially and he would be easy to move on. However, Guirassy yes or no is not even the point. Point is, we can use an experienced, reliable goalscorer to show our younger strikers the ropes and chip in with a few goals himself. Even better if that player is dirt cheap. For me, Guirassy fits the bill but you are welcome to suggest someone else.
-
What are you talking about „has never played European football?“ The opposite is the case for Guirassy 28 is literally the perfect age for a striker. We could use someone with experience and good form to help us right now and salvage something from the season if that is our objective. If the season is a write off anyway then stick with what we got but if there is some ambition to maybe win a cup we should go for someone who can finish his dinner. Broja is useless and Jackson will always be wasteful without a prolific finisher he can learn from around I am not even a guirassy fan but for 15m there is no risk. Having said that there is no way he would come here. Clubs who are not in total chaos are lining up for him too .

Yes. Nothing concrete revealed yet but given Poch’s concerns it’s probably serious again
-
I loved how Gilchrist, completely amped up when he came on to make like 1 tackle, proceeded to bark instructions, hug everyone and celebrated every clearance like a championship. Reminds you of that overzealous sales intern who gives a pep talk and insists on high fiving the boss before making coffee for everyone.
-
Obviously. Caicedo is just pants. Don’t get me wrong. Lavia made a solid albeit not spectacular debut. Would play him over Moises every day But the price tag alone will guarantee that Caicedo will keep starting. Same with Enzo. I don’t think Poch has the balls to bench the big money failure.
-
On the night it was a positive one for once. Nothing wrong with the desire and fight today. Disasi and Badi are still clumsy, Maatsen and Caicedo remain absolutely pathetic players, broja and Jackson are wasteful wanna be strikers. The rest did quite well. in the grand scheme of things this squad has years until it can challenge provided it stays together. We saw glimpses of its potential but no real end product. We always rely on luck to win. It will be enough to survive but not much more . Still a lot of dark years ahead
-
What a performance. Still just 20 years young. May he stay healthy
-
I hope him getting off the mark will benefit our season more than the result yesterday he took that header well and most importantly he occupied a position most other strikers usually just don’t attack . So many crosses were fizzed across the goal and no one was making a run towards the center of the goal or the near post
-
Alonso will never come here. He will probably take over Real Madrid in summer. Our Problem is that boehly s antics have tarnished the clubs reputation so much that the quick fix policies from the Roman era (buying a ready made world class player or hiring a wc manager) are not available anymore
-
That was a new low. I have always been more of a fan of his overall Game than his poor finishing but his touch and ball control today was so horrendous. Worse than Lukaku. Not that broja was any better but both are championship level at best. At least he was not mad expensive so can ship him out in summer and start the gamble anew
-
We make everybody look good we actually played decent today but as always failed to score the simplest of chances
-
I am not even getting up my seat when Jackson or broja are through on goal. You just know they will lose out
-
No surprise at all Chelsea - lose after missing the most glorious chances missed 24/7
-
Just rewatched there highlights not even close. There were defenders around, angle worse a lot less time. TAA shot vs the bar was nowhere as big a chance as what Sterling missed sterling fuck yo was a genuine 3 on 0 with just the goalkeeper no excuses that was one of the worst of all times
