  1. weirdo. AC Milan have a decent record of holding on to good propsects. Quite a few of their better performers have reiterated their identification with the club despite better offers from abroad.
  2. My feeling is, this game will be different to our last 5. We are gonna have more space, create lots of chances but as usual fail to make the most of them and probably end up with a close loss despite an overall more than decent performance. Not sure if that is tolerable. We can not realistically expect to win vs such a superior side but stranger things have happened.
  3. We did play a variation of 442 in our season opener with RLC in the Havertz position
  4. Paredes and Kehrer would be alright signings for them
  5. For a player it is Messi with 17 pens scoring 14. English club record was C Palace in 2009/10 with 11. ManUre have equalled that record already this season and would have last season too but missed 4 of 11.
  6. bruno fernades will most definitely break the record for most penalty goals in a season in european football. just 4 non-penalty goals from him in the last 7 months or so.
  7. It was shameful from him not to get up but tbf that goal never should have stood. he was clearlyfouled by grealish and villa had a clear and intentional hand ball in the build up. The ref once more was clearly biased against us and gifted villa the point.
  8. Still praying for an FA overreaction and season being voided altogether lol
  9. watch coady gift manure two goals after turning out the only faultless performance of his career vs us.
  10. Pulisic has managed to get injured so badly that he fell down when jogging on plain grass without impact...of ocurse he is made of glass. Just bc he played 180 mins (and hardly over-exerted himself) in 3 days does not mean he is suddenly iron man. Let's not kid ourselves. It won't be long until he pulls a hammy again or some other muscle injury that takes him out for a month or two. We have to enjoy him while he is still fit.
  11. Hasenhüttls high line got him slaughtered last season vs Leicester and this season vs Spurs. Ppl on here would go on the fence if that happened to us. Hasenhüttl is such a high risk high reward coach, I am not quite sure he will make it at a top team where the pressure is on to perform day in day out. At Leipzig he struggled to overcome stubborn defenses all too often. Bayern was quite average during his time at RBL, yet he never came close to threatenign them. Pochettino at least ran us close when we walked the league.
  12. He surely was on course of becoming an exceptional player under Sarri but the injury seems to have wrecked him permanently. I doubt he will become anything more than an average PL player. Today he was not bad but not particularly good either. a 6/10 performance like the on he almost always turns in. Has not developed at all. And as for that other comparison. Look how good KDB was already at 20.
  13. Hasenhüttl is a very good coach, possibly the most talented in the league. Also great at developing young players. he prefers a 4-4-2 which is possible with our squad even though i do not see it as our best option.
  14. I honestly believe that could do us a world of good but i strongly doubt it will happen. the patients at City will be separated from the rest of the squad and the game will go ahead. Jesus out, Agüero in actually makes City a lot stronger. They will have a field day.
  15. a midfielder with a bit of creativity would do us nicely. no wonder we are always playing from side to side and then cross as there is no one able to thread through passes in the centre. Even Ziyech's return will not solve that. Havertz, Mount, kovacic, all not very creative.
  16. Just ibrahimovic is not enough to win you a title. milans title win under allegri was against superior sides and with a very average and washed out squad. allegri got the best out of them and that is his forte. building a dynasty is not.
  17. another suspension of football altogether would come at a good moment for us.
  18. Tuchel taking over would be a nightmare. he would demand weird players and throw a tantrum if he does not get along with the guys on the board. also has a crazy backroom staff. Pochettino has never won a thing. not as a manager or player. not sure that is the guy to lead you to titles. then again so had sarri and he at least has 2 reasonably big titles now. Allegri is a winner but has no clear tacitcal identity. but would surely deliver us top 4. if we hadnt gone on this transfer offensive he would be my choice. he is good at getting the best out of a washed out squad but we actually have a brilliant young squad.
  19. this. we all got it. he has to go. but we should still heed respect for the legend that he is for the club as player and person.
  20. lozana, diaby, saint maximin, thuram, depay, insignie, oyarzabal, ocampos, neres, kostic, barnes, guerrerio
  21. I think we definitely should be able to pull off a decent 4-4-2 as well as a diamond with the players we have if required. a 2 striker system with Giroud and Werner would give all those old-fashioned centre back pairings a lot to think. Not sure if Pochettino and his eternal 4-2-3-1 are the way to go tho. Our problems go way deeper than Lampard. We have amassed a squad without real character and it is not fair demand this of the new arrivals. The problem is in the mismanagement of the squad by the board that basically begun after Carlo had the old guard running with the right football. We then had changing managers with very different styles and bought a ton of terrible players for their styles and repeated this like 10 times. We have not really had an identity since and have tried to build a new one from scratch every time. I do not think Lampard is a goner yet. Not because he deserves more time but bc he is someone who knows the club and knows how to get along with the hierachy. He will get until the leicester game i think. What puzzles me most is how good we have looked during our unbeaten run. not every game but there were some where we were swaggering around like prime barcelona and dissected teams at will with our passing. maybe the payers need a bit mor efreedom or maybe teams have found us out and thus we have returned to the cross to giroud route...but i refuse to believe it is all been just ziyech's injury.
  22. next time bayern offer 50m we better take the offer... ... provided that we have bought decent enough wingers first.
  23. I do not even care if we play attractive football. if we win matches by crosses and set pieces alone, i am happy as well. but dafuq do we take off giroud and continue pumping crosses and continue letting mount take inswingers straight at their keeper? crossing to giroud was working perfectly fine and yet he takes him off...
  24. we had a myriad of chances to win this game. villa scored from their only real shot on target. unlucky close draw but not as shitty as ppl make it out.
  25. we did not even play that bad. actually apart from their goal villa did not have a single chance. our attacking play is shockingly one-dimensional obv, but i am pleasantly suprised there has been no total collapse at the back despite christensen and rüdiger. the ref has successfully killed the game and got villa the point
