I can't help it. He looked slow and easily caught out IMHO. I guess that's the beauty of football - everyone sees something different.
-
Yeah I couldn't have been more wrong about this guy. I absolutely hated his appointment. But fair play to him- he's been amazing.
-
Yeah needed a bit of luck there- his first touch wasn't great but could have gone in of Allison...
-
Klopp played into our hands I think second half. He kept chopping and changing and that broke their rhythm. Well done to the lads. In previous seasons we would have crumbled. This team has the basis of a spine. I didn't rate Jorginho or Alonso again- but fair play we got a result and would have picked up 3pts if not for a bizarre refereeing decision. I hope Anthony Taylor gets the stick he deserves for this epic fail. On we roll. As I'm not a manager, from the armchair I would have brought Timo on for last 10 mins just in case 🤣
-
I don't think Jimmy would. I give up it's ruined my day anyway
-
Yeah but all pundits now saying it was a red as he moved his arm un-naturaly to swipe the ball away. Fuck knows- I still blame Alonso.
-
Has it changed this season then? Fuck knows anymore. Any time they clarify the rules it makes it worse
-
I do know the rules? @Magic Lamps posted them earlier?
-
It's always a big game against these wankers. They always get lucky. We should have had a corner before the goal not given.
-
Yup first thing I cringed at then knew it was over. He got done a few times before that. We all know Alonso. He's fine against average teams but not in big games.
-
He would. Any decent ref wouldn't
-
Always Alonso - should never start these types of games. Fucking ref - what an absolute cunt.
-
I meant in a non-covid crazy season 🤣🤣🤣
-
Yes, they are the new power in London - I would say they could finish above both Spuds and Arse... Moyes is a decent manager, not super adventurous but he gets these mid table teams with 'almost there' players - raising their game. He's a bit like Martin O'Neil was with Aston Villa.
-
Ahh, no way, everything is 100% defined in the contract and literally there is no wriggle room. It's either don't exercise the option, or, exercise the option at £x consideration. In legal terms you need 3 things to complete a contract. Offer Acceptance Consideration (£1 being lowest amount)
-
Don't boil over 👍 Ignore them - I love your posts and whilst we may not always agree - respect your opinion 👍
-
It's a contract. If we meet the contractual obligations then he becomes our player. They could break the contract- but then they would be acting in bad faith and would likely face action from both Chelsea in the form of damages and sanctions from the governing body UEFA/FIFA - as transfer contracts are sacrosanct.
-
No we need to keep him in his job 👍 but yes we need to beat them
-
I guess. To cheer myself up- I watched a YouTube of his goals last season and I must confess- the Italian league looks pretty dire. Oh well - roll on next week and let's see what happens. If he can achieve 1 in 2 - that's all that can be asked for 👍
-
So you don't remember his first stint here? You don't remember him at Utd 🤣🤣🤣 People are entitled, myself included, to be dubious of this signing. Although, I hope for the positives 👍 I honestly think we need the midfield sorted before we can challenge for the league. It's a marathon not a sprint - still think City have the best squad and we ended up quite far behind in 4th... Leicester looked pretty solid - so expect them to be in the mix again TBH. Possibly Liverpool might shit the bed again...
-
I would. Still think Aguero is 15-20 per season guaranteed.
-
Look I'm trying to be positive about this. This is the only positive I can find. I never want to see Tammy laying on the floor in our shirt again... I don't want Lukaku - but I have to support the club. Just wish we could have shipped Baka, Barkley or Drinkwater into them... oh well it's done and no amount of alcohol will change it 🤣 I did also think we could have sneakily approached Aguero 🤣🤣🤣
-
Actually, if we can sell Tammy for £40million - then I can probably get behind this. At that point Lukaku is £57m net... (transfer fees). Which is fair enough. I just can't believe we have dropped £97million on him though - without even trying to chop some dead wood in. If he can score against the smaller teams then great - I just don't see him contributing in the big games - he goes missing.
-
Kalou cost nothing in comparison. Like ex-partners, should never go back.
-
Exactly- he will go there... Probably why we ended our interest and went for the donkey. 😭
