  1. It's all rosy and lovely when we're doing well and playing to the best of our abilities. But when things AREN'T going our way and refs/officials are trying their absolute best to fuck us up the arse, we need those players we splashed out to get to STEP UP and be noticed. Make a difference. Win us a football match. At the moment, only ONE player is doing this: Eden Hazard. I would say Ivanovic too but he's a) not expected to do this somewhat at fault to our below average defensive display of late. We know that Hazard can change a game in a second. But I'm not seeing that from Cesc, Oscar, Willian or even Costa for that matter. Even when we are playing poorly or negatively, ONE pass over the top from Cesc can tilt the game on it's head. Cesc isn't only capable of doing that when the team is playing well or when he's playing well. He's capable of doing that in his sleep. We need to see that from him. I don't care if he's absolutely shocking and can't hang on to the ball for 89mins, for that ONE minute just produce something magical. Silence the critics. Prove your worth. And it's not just Cesc, as I've stated above. All of our superstars can decide a game in a second! Showing character. But for some reason, since the old guard has slowly left Stamford Bridge, this kind of thing has been few and far between.
  2. I would very much like Ruben Loftus Cheek to play on Sunday. After all, what's the point of having an academy if we're not gonna play any of our youngsters.
  3. 2nd striker as in a 2nd choice striker? or a #10 playing as a second striker? I really hope its the latter.
  4. It's only February but by now you kind of have an idea of who the nominees are gonna be and who might take the prize home. My nominees: Agüero, Alexis, Costa, Fàbregas, Hazard, Kane Previous Winners: http://www.thepfa.com/thepfa/pfaawards/winners Also, what's been the best performance of the season so far? Plenty to choose from. Hazard vs Spurs (A) has probably been the best we've seen from our players. But Harry Kane did dominate us. Agüero's 4 goals against Spurs? Fun fact: The last two winners of the trophy have left the Premier League.
  5. We have been really meh lately... I really hope we can go out there and send a message. 5 or 6-0 would be just fantastic. Diego needs a goal and Cuadrado to score perhaps? Impressive dominating performance, please.
  6. FC Bayern, Real Madrid, FC Barcelona and even Man City. And are as good as these clubs. But we're being gutless. No balls.
  7. Why not both? It's possible and that's what Roman wants and has been trying to do since he bought the club.
  8. I feel like with the personnel at our club currently, we won't be able to compete without playing like this. I mean the one season we did play forward expansive football that was a joy to watch week in and week out- we didn't even get passed the group stages. But in a way I miss that season. We didn't fear any team. We went toe to toe to them without a cautious approach. This was the right direction. Sure we flopped that year but we had the like of Torres and Mikel starting most games for us. Now, it seems like Jose's trying to assemble a team that can set up in a negative way against the bigger clubs.. and are good enough to dispatch the smaller clubs without any worries. It's pretty annoying. We're doing well but as you said, knockout CL nights are not fun anymore. We just park the bus and hope we can steal a goal from somewhere. Bullocks. Spending millions each transfer window for that is just shit.
  9. I'll never forget what he did that season. 19 goals 35 assists! Jaw dropping brilliance. Not to mention the connection between him & Hazard. They were fantastic together. I'd love to one day see them play together again. I particularly remember the Chelsea vs West Ham game that season when Lampard scored his 200th goal. The orgasmic interplay between Mata and Hazard was beyond beautiful. Ill never forget Juan's time at Chelsea. Wonderful player, wonderful guy.
  10. GAME DAY!!! I've been looking forward to this game so much... Felt like such a long week!
  11. du du du du, Andre Schurrleeee du du du du, du du du du, Andre Schurrleeee du du du du
  12. Also, I wanna see this guy playing centrally. I think that's the next step in his career. The next phase in his development. Kind of like Messi did when but not as a ST/CF... as a NUMBER 10. It's clear that Eden doesn't have that ruthlessness in him. He's not that clinical beast in front of goal. I think he'd score many more goals and create way more goals in a position where he's closer to the goal. If you look at some of his most penetrating runs this season.. for instance, his goal against Spurs (away), his run against Arsenal (home), his run vs Liverpool in the COC a week ago, if you go and watch the Swansea game (A) there were two situations where he smashed the ball from a central position just outside the box and took two fantastic shots with his left foot. Both tested the keeper. I feel like he doesn't get that opportunity as much when he's on the wing. On top of that, when he's on the left, the defenders know where he's gonna go. They know that he's gonna cut in. If he's on in the middle of the pitch, you don't know where he's gonna go cuz he's got a good left foot (better than Oscar and Willian) and he can shift the ball either way AND, AND, he's a far better creator than the other two also. To me, he's our best #10 and playing in that position will improve him as a goalscorer and as a player in general. Ballon d'or elects score loads of goals. I don't seen Eden surpassing 25 goals on the left.. play him in the middle, behind Diego!!
  13. I love away games at nice stadiums like Villa Park. Always makes me happy when we go to another teams stadium and batter them and leave like bosses. We've had some joy at this stadium recently. Hiddink's first game in charge... 1-0 with Nicolas' chip and 4-2 when Brana scored twice and Torres ended one of his 1475861569 droughts he had at the club. Lampard -record breaker. All of them were memorable wins for me. Hopefully another. Also, regarding Cuadrado... I want him to come off the bench. With 20 (at least 15) minutes left, put him on and he can really hurt a tired -and hopefully by then- deteriorated Villa side. Prediction: Aston Villa 0-3 Chelsea Line up: Cech, Ivan, Zooms, JT, Azpi (although i'd like to see Filipe back), Matic, Cesc (show no respect to the fuckers.. go out and dominate), Oscar, Willy, Eden and Remy
  14. Honestly tho, someone mentioned in the one the previous pages.... the lack of ambition to go out and try to out-play the BIGGER sides and how we haven't improved our style of play when playing against the BIGGER SIDES. And it's true! For some reason we play well against the smaller sides at home, we see a BIG team and we say fuck it and just play so negative! As if we don't think we can out-play them. It's very frustrating and it's cuz Jose doesn't like to things like that. He doesn't want to go out and take the game to the (bigger) opposition and risk being exposed at the back. I don't know why this is, but that's what's happening. Maybe it's cuz we don't have enough clinical (ball) players that we can rely on to win us the game... and that heightens the chances of the opposition knickin one on the break. Maybe our players/team is just structured to play like this.... I dunno but it's very hard for a fan. I go from thinking... yeah we're gonna beat this team comfortably. To shit they're really good so we have to defend and hope for the best. And for example in the latter stages of the Champions League (provided that we get there), if we play a Barca or a Bayern or a Real Madrid, there is no chance of us trying to outplay these sides. There is only ONE WAY and ONE WAY only that we're gonna play against these teams. And that's not something that Chelsea fans should be proud of. If we want to be a SUPER CLUB -like a Bayern or a Real- we need to be able to just play fearlessly and be able to go toe-to-toe with any team at any time.
  15. I don't think I've seen our players lose the ball sooo sloppily, SO many times near the goal as well. It got to the point the point where I expected our players to lose the ball. Very, very poor.
  16. Amazing when your satellite stops working THE DAY OF THE BIGGEST GAME OF THE SEASON and you have to rely on a sub par stream to watch the match.... But anyways on a lighter note: It could be a good what, Thibaut??
  17. Player tremendously today! Almost scored an absolute golazo but still was a class above the other players on the pitch
  18. Honestly... wtf is wrong with Willian?? He has everything to be a good player but he's soo poor!! Ffs... What he does more than anything else is just fucking stand there with the ball at his feet and stare at the defender!! What the fuck is that? You're not fooling anyone Willian. No fucking body. He has pace, he's strong, he can shoot but NOTHING. He just stands there.... He does useless skills that get him NOWHERE. He's getting more and more annoying. At this point he's only useful for helping back because of his energy. Oh and dont get me started on his final pass.....
  19. Really pisses me off that we are gonna go out and pay £25 million for this guy who in my opinion will not improve our team much. We could go all out for Reus -a proven world class player- rather than Cuadrado ffs
  20. what does he bring to the table that Willian cant?
  21. I'm intrigued to see how he performs in the "bigger games". The cup finals, the semi-finals etc. Honestly, he hasn't really played any HUGE games for Chelsea. Since his arrival he's been pretty unlucky. We got smacked in the Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup. We were shockingly poor in the Club World Cup final. Got knocked out of the Champions League in the group stages -although he did miss the one chance we had against Juve. Poor guy got himself sent off in the 2nd leg of the Carling Cup semi. And in the FA Cup Quarters he scored a beauty against Utd. but we lost to City in the semi's. That season was overall just shite as he missed the only final we got to through injury. But seemed to be the time where he played his most enjoyable football as there was no stress on his defensive contribution and also that was Mazacar in their prime! (lol) On to 2013/14, under Jose we were obviously better and he pretty much had to carry us without really deciding any big games. He was immense against City (A) in the league and he didn't even play in the game where we bowed out of the COC. FA Cup Quarter against City (A) we were awful collectively. Champions League Quarter he was good against PSG but got injured and missed the 2nd leg and semi 1st leg. Then JUST got back -probably a bit too early- for the 2nd leg against Atleti. Funny enough he was blamed in that game. So far this season, we haven't played any HUGE games. No semi finals/title deciding games and the CL knockout stages hasn't come around yet. I wanna see if he steps up and decides those games cuz when he's asked about winning the Ballon D'or he talks about the bigger players deciding games and winning trophies for their clubs. Can he do that?
