I don't believe I belong on this thread. I don't post as much as the nominees nor am I as good a "forumer". Most humble? -
Kinda upset that Thorgan was loaned out so early... He should have stayed at Chelsea for pre-season with his older brother. Would have definitely played in most of the pre-season games
-
So Real will have Alonso, Khedira, Illara, Modric, Isco, Di Maria and Kroos all competing for 3 spots in midfield... Cuz we know Bale and Ronaldo are the two starting wingers. 1 too many of you ask me. Even if Illarra is loaned out, the others are all players that would walk into most teams' starting XI. If anything they should keep Illarra as a squad member and sell one of their 'bigger' players. Jealous of the talent that Madrid have at their disposal
-
Can't be sure about that tho. I really hope he is but the circumstances are different here at Chelsea than they were at Arsenal. But I believe in his ability and think he will do just fine
-
You're a lovely guy, you are
-
Yeah I wondered about that... If Ba stays (lets face it, Torres WILL stay), then he'll have to wear a different #. Unless, ofcourse, Ba willingly gives him the #19 kit. I can see him wearing #20, it is a striker's #... Higuain, RvP etc. Or maybe even #29. Ba wore that as he waited for #19 from Paulo Ferreira. So yeah... I see #20 or #29 in his future.

Damn.. he's 29 years old !! Unless we are getting him really cheap, then this is a no-brainer

This video aside, his PKs are awful. LOL as long as Eden (or even Cesc) is on the pitch we won't have to worry about that. I have little to no doubts that he will do well for us! What i'm interested to see is how he takes his chances and how he gets his goals. This does depend on whether he gets good service BUT when it's not going well, can he make something out of nothing. I've watched Diego Costa for a while and he does get stuck in and give the defenders a real handful but he shows his frustration when it isn't going well for him. He is a very passionate player (like Didier, opposite of Torres -which is always a good thing) but even Drogba had bad moments in his earlier years when the fans weren't too fond of him. Nevertheless, Welcome Diego

Really think this lad should get more playing time next season. I think he's a better player than Willian, more threatening and also a better winger.
-
Just 'Mustafa' please
-
Extra Time.... Still think he'll do the business for his country
-
Should have done better when he got into good positions in the 1st half... Hasn't been bad. But we all know he can do much better! I expect better from him in the 2nd half
-
I don't know why.... but the more and more I watch Eden play, the more I feel like he will prosper more in the #10 role. Why? Look at Mertens' display in the first two games for example. He was immense in both games (imo) just cuz of his direct nature. He looks to beat his marker and deliver a cross or shoot. That's what a winger should do in my opinion. Eden does that too. But but not often enough. On the other hand, what Hazard has that most LW's don't, is magnificent vision. The best LW in the world (Cristiano Ronaldo) has average vision. Eden almost always creates a couple good chances for his team mates whenever he's on the pitch. Now, if he played in the role behind the striker, he would be in positions to play in on-running STs and Wingers. Like he did for Schurrle's second goal against Fulham. He skipped past two players and then calmly caressed the ball into Schurrle's path. And I think he can do that on a regular basis. Also, if he played in the role behind the striker, he'd get the ball ALOT with his back to goal. In that situation, Eden is incredibly clever in how he turns the defender on his back and sprints away from him. Can't think of a better example than his first goal against Newcastle in the 3-0 victory at Stamford Bridge. I think this is something Jose should consider and maybe even Belgium too. Both the Belgian NT and Chelsea have players who would love to play in Hazard's position week in week out but just cant get into the team because of Hazard. As for Chelsea, I think Hazard would give us more creativity than Oscar would in the #10 role. Just a thought...
-
And your telling me that that was a clear cut chance ...
-
When did Aguero miss a clear cut chance ?
-
Different types of players... Both class but Kroos edges James in creativity which is what we are desperate for
-
If we do sign him, this is what he'll be bringing to Stamford Bridge: World Class player
-
I agree with what your saying... But I do think Willian is very poor when there is no space in behind. Don't get me wrong, the are games where he is a big threat but when we played against the likes of West Ham he was more than useless because his decision making is poor. Oscar on the other hand, is far better than in those kind of games and also does a good job defensively. So Oscar does have all the attributes to be able to play on the wing. I'm not saying he should and I'm not saying he shouldn't but, he is very very capable.
-
Dunno if you guys care but... I signed him on my Career Mode on FIFA 14 last night..... with Chelsea (30mil, 120k wages)
-
Lol Let's see what happens here.... I'm intrigued to say the very least
-
Lol One game and some of you guys are already saying he's shit. My, oh my....
