Also, I really don't think this is the type of game Salah should start. His main attribute is his pace and he wont be able to utilize that against teams that come to Stamford Bridge and play with 10 men behind the ball. He would be deadly on the counter if we're winning and they're trying to get a goal back.

Aside from the skills, am I the only one who was impressed by his English ? He didn't stutter or anything and he said "instinctive" instinctively. Impressive

Eden is a special player and we can all see that. But he does need to change up some aspects of his game. His reluctance to shoot is pretty frustrating. Donno if him shooting more often would necessarily make him Jesus, but it would make him a lot more effective and efficient. He seems to be a lot less selfish this season. Maybe that is because he didn't feel like he didn't need to be the creative force as much because Mata had that more or less buttoned down. It's great that he's finding a grey area between always taking his man on and playing a key pass but the thing that disappoints me sometimes is: he gets into these great positions through his terrific close control and intelligence but then he chooses not to shoot. It was obvious that he was playing with a lot less intensity today but when he went on THAT run when he went from left to right cutting in passed 3-4 players and completely emasculating Semih, you just HAVE to shoot ! This is frustrating !! Not because we expect him to be Jesus but because if he shot and scored... That would have been one of the best goals of the season !

This. It also allows the "smaller" teams to gain confidence as the game goes on. I mean, lots of managers send out their players with the motive of staying in the game as long as they can and then try to knick something. And constantly this season, we've let this happen. Very very poor.

This is delightful news. Unless he starts, it would be perfect ! Cuz if he starts he'll probably end up playing at least 45 minutes. Coming off the bench tho, he'd probably get 30 mins or so. Also another aspect of this friendly that is somewhat "clutch" is that he's only going to Belgium. No long trips like the Brazilians who went to South Africa. I for one was expecting us to win the tie after the first leg. Especially after seeing their attacking starting XI. We had more room today than we will at the Bridge. They probably will come with a proper game plan for the 2nd leg. And they probably wont be as shit, cuz man.... they were awful. It's been a while since I've seen a Champions League turnover the ball so often and so cheaply.
