Good analogy. We were discussing something similar to this on another forum. Not Cech related, but whether the broncos would give up high likelihood of success for a few years for long term stability. As in... If they could would they swap manning for luck. I think they would because it's not like luck is so bad he couldn't work with the team there, and the broncos would still have a great chance of immediate success although slightly reduced. And linking it back to the topic, I think if I try to ignore previous loyalties to Cech, then swapping him for courtois makes perfect sense. He is not much worse than Cech right now, has the potential to be better, and can be there for a longer period of time. Though having said that, getting rid of a top quality petr Cech just doesn't seem right.
