We've conceded 1 goal in 6 games with mendy. Imagine if we had a preseason and him from the start. Rewind to the Southampton game and I think most people would laugh if you said we would concede like 3 goals in the next 10 games. But that's gone. But we are a team who has a lot of attacking talent and are the most solid team defensively in the league right now. No one wants to play us. If lloris doesn't pull off that worldy safe or tammy scores one of those headers and we win then the narrative shifts. But under the radar is fine and if we keep improving then we can be a force to be reckoned with.

Let's not forget we were establishing Werner as the striker in this team before puli got injured again. I fully imagine Werner will lead the line when pulisic is fit. But 3rd which includes like 4 kepa games and no preseason for a new team is pretty good. They are really starting to gel as a team even if it didn't work today. I'm not expecting us to win the league this year but to challenge and if we do that I'll be happy.

Play pulli and havertz. Rest Werner from the start. Maybe even play giroud upfront. I wouldn't change loads though, as we want to win the group. Get a result here and can rest them vs krasnodar

Ref made it very tricky but they never troubled us til zouma (lol). Shows how far we have come that we are very solid in defence now which is a great thing. Draw doesn't bother me. Would have been fantastic to win but draw isn't the end of the world.

Midfield or reece james was MOTM for me. All 3 in the midfield were fantastic. Timo had a bad day finishing but he was ripping them apart for some of his buildup.
