We could have an amazing striker for up to 15 years. Now that is obviously going a bit over the top etc as its still very early on, but i can't think of many better promising youngsters with his attributes.

Great minds think alike! He is a great player and i can't believe the transformation in a short period of time. He has the speed and physical attributes that should make him a beast, but has also improved the first touch which was incredibly poor in pre season and has improved technically. A 4-4-2 with demba and lukaku, seems like a great idea to me...

I think everyone is being slightly picky and he would be a great signing for us. Not saying he is the best option, or the best value or the right thing to do. But if it comes down to it and roman pulls the trigger, there will be very few who won't look forward to seeing him in a chelsea shirt.

Its a shame, but he should perfect the super sub role.

Managing a thread bare team with a small squad like evertons and be consistently in or around the europa places is no mean feat. If your argument for not getting a manager because rafa beat them then you are really clueless. We beat martinez, who is the manager of wigan by the way. Now please tell me how that is an argument for not having martinez. You do realise we have mata hazard lampard etc, and wigan don't have close to that do you. Please explain pretty much every substitution he has made? Puts bertrand on when we are losing! Starts Bertrand on the left wing. Doesn't use his subs. Doesn't put fresh legs on. Doesn't put our best leader, organiser and defender when we are protecting a lead. He also has a worse win percentage than RDM and has less clean sheets than RDM, so what are you on about. And if you think we play better football then you clearly don't watch the games.

I agree in the main, because Ba is very proven in this league and is a great striker. Lukaku has come on leaps and bounds and is starting to live up to his potential. I definitely think we need more than 2 and the 3rd doesn't have to be someone we overpay for. I still think falcao is an amazing player and wouldn't say no to having him here at all. But its not like we absolutely must sign a top name that will cost 40 mil plus.

Yeah i know. But prem is the main priority and it looks like rafa is gonna start torres in at least half of the remaining prem games, which isn't ideal. In europa then we could play with the false 9 thing, or wha i would do would be put someone like david luiz up there who will win balls in the air and use him as a target man who hazard etc can feed off. Not ideal and its not gonna be a perfect system but i don't think it would be a bad idea.

If torres got injured, nothing serious of course, then it would mean Ba would start all the prem games which would be big positive, though my dislike towards torres doesn't extend to the point where i would wish he would get an injury.

Rest key players. If we need a goal with 20 mins to go then bring on the main men for a little run to salvage it, but don't take it overly seriously til we either get our way to the semi's or we get a run going in the prem and pretty much secure at least 4th.
