This is going to be his season I think. He is motivated to join a bigger club and thus he will want to show how much of a goalscoring beast he is. Hope he does prove his critics wrong. I actually think with Everton not being in any European competitions, I think he can get to the 20 goal mark + if he stays fit. If he can give repeat performances like the one against Southampton and tonight (albeit L1 opposition) he will be unstoppabble.
-
Aguero had the best chance of the game. He was played through and Terry was caught out. Yeah it was not Zouma but Aguero would usually bury that. He was not fully fit that game IIRC as well as he was returning from injury. But Courtois made another save as well. His movement was excellent couple, three times. He done well but I just think that saying he owned him is a bit OTT. Aguero could have easily had 2 goals that game.
-
That is a myth. Zouma did not shit all over Aguero. He had a good game and made an excellent challenge on Aguero but there were occasions where Aguero caused problems, ran past our defence and had a couple chances he should have convert. He was a nuisance. But, yeah he made an excellent challenge on him but the draw that day was not really down to our defence. Courtois made some great saves and they domianted the game but just were wasteful in front of goal.
-
But he said he wanted to play tbh. Maybe he should have done what Sterling and Berahino done and basically said his head is not the right frame of mind.
-
So he should not be playing then...
-
The excuses of his head is not in the game is poor. He wanted to play. You don't let the ball go over your head from a cross like that. Poor positioning and poor defending.
-
More like how crazy would it be if he joins before the end of the transfer window and after the international break, he makes his debut against all teams, Everton on Septemeber 12th at Goodison Park. You wouldn't have guessed it.

The fact that Mourinho brought on Falcao for Costa at that point in the game against WBA proves to me that his rep or Mourinho's aim of trying to prove a point actually took priority over the needs for a team. Is Falcao known for his pressing? No. Is he known for his pace? No. Having a pacey striker like Remy to replace Costa at that point of the game would have been better than bringing on Falcao. He is a better presser, would have been better for the counter than Falcao. That sub did not really make much sense but thankfully we held out for the win. I was content for him to come here as 3rd choice striker but when I see him being favoured over Remy, it just pisses me off. As soon as I saw Falcao coming, I knew it was more hope than reality that he would be behind Remy in the pecking order. But, judging by the minutes he is definitely favoured and there is no merit at all as to how Falcao has even earned this. Pisses me of really. No doubt that Falcao will probably come on against Palace too at the expense of Remy. Remy must really be thinking what did I do to deserve this.

Yeah, I know but my point is we still will have to pay over £30m to sign him regardless of his transfer request. Unless we pay big money for him, they will not sell.
-
That is fake. Not a verified account. People should not get carried away witht he transfer request. Yeah, it good that he wants to move to us but Everton may still play hard ball. Look at Berahino. He handed in a transfer request and WBA rejected that plus they rejected another improved offer by Spurs for him.

I thought Oscar was our best player against Swansea but wow, people are really overrating his performance. He done well but his performance was not outstanding as everyone makes it out to be. Some comments like he is is well on to his way to being a world class no.10 and him being a world class player is just going OTT. To repeat, I think he had a good game but that was it. Some people are really overrating his performance that day. Probably because the majority of the team were not up to scratch.

I stopped reading from there

Hazard started the same way last season. Not poor. Just nothing outstanding. He will soon step up his game to another level again. I am sure of it. It is only 3 games players. Relax.
-
Coutinho is fantastic isn't he. Has improved his goal threat immensely as well. Tortured Arsenal so far. However we won't be able to get him like City got Sterling. Coutinho just signed a new long contract and they will not sell him at any price to a domestic rival. That being said, he is a great player and he is only 23. There was a debate before of who was better, Oscar or Coutinho. That is not even a debate now.
-
Well, I think we are seeing two different things then. Willian is very good at getting past his man. Not on Hazard's level but he is quite good at it. As for Ivanovic, I know thta may have been sarcasm but Willian is probably the second best player in our team with take ons. Now Pedro is there, probably third but atm, stats wise, it is probably Hazard then Willian for us. I see Willian similarly to Chamberlain. Both quality players. Chamberlain is a much better dribbler, don't get me wrong but both can beat the FB easily. Just need to improve in the final third.
-
Because Pogba is different class. It is like PSG wanting Hazard and us using Lavezzi as a make shift to lessen the value. Especially after Cuadrado's spell here, that would never be an option for Juve.
-
Not as direct as Bolasie or Townsend but he regularly takes on his man and gets past them a lot. Just his play in the final third that lets him down. I think he would be quite high on the list in the PL with most successful take ons. Not at the top but would not be surprised if he was quite high on the list. Can't find the stats.
-
Willian does put fear into opposition. I am not sure how you gathered that conclusion. Even players that don't score like Townsend, full backs hate coming up against direct and fast players. I am a massive fan of Bolasie but you do realise Bolasie is known for the same thing Willian is doing. A lot of dribbling, going past players but poor end product...

While Oscar is better with the stats, I think overall Willian is a better player. Oscar is a good player but bar Swansea in the opening game of the season, a lot of the times if things are not going well, he will not play well. He does not have any standout quality to change the game where I feel Willian can. Also I would not say Oscar is a better presser. That is debatable. They are both good but Willian's got more pace and I find it that he does a better job in retreiving the ball. He is also stronger and has great balance in making sure he keeps hold of the ball and in general offers much more than Oscar. It is like when people will use stats to say Sanchez or Reus are better than Hazard. I disagree because I feel Hazard's overall game is better than them both. It is the same with Willian and Oscar. Take away goals and assists, Willian is a better player and just offers much more imo but if he put away the chances Oscar did I think that would make him a lot more appreciated which is fair. I know youtube can make even Cuadrado look like Messi but this is the kind of play Willian actually contributes for us. He just is unlucky with the stats but he contributes so much in the actual game and is a key player for us. He is actually so underrated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yP_TSQuSJag David Silva was never a prominent goalscorer for his club teams before last couple of seasons. Since then his goal tally has started to improve and last season got into double figures. He is now 29. Never say never. I hope Willian can add goals to his game then maybe he will get the praise he deserves. While Willian is not known for scoring a lot of goals, the ones he does score are finishing of the highest quality.... Norwich away with his left foot. One of the goals of the seasons. Stoke at Home. Southampton away. Quality goals. In the vid I showed above you only have to look at about 2 quality strikes he took which hit the crossbar. Just unlucky sometimes. He should have more goals to his name but saying that, his technique is actually quite good.
-
Well your a hater if you think he did not do well for Costa's goal. Had that been one of your fanboys you probably would have been drooling over it. Anyway, let's wait till the end of the season and see how much he contributes. I am sure he will prove to be a vital asset and silence some haters like you. I do believe the goals will come and even if it does not, I am confident we will get goals from all around the team. He does not score and assist much, yet remains he a key player for Mourinho? Coincidence or what? Even with Pedro in, I still can see Willian being a vital player. I really do hope he adds goals to his game to silence haters like you. Since you used the word 'fanboys' to refer to people who appreciate him, I will refer to you as a 'hater' as you will wait to pounce him for any bad error he does. You probably will go hiding when he does play well though.
-
Funny thing is if he scores that, people are suddenly saying he had a great game and should be in the team. His actual performance was good. A shame that the miss has made everyone forget about the way he set that counter attack up for Costa's goal. Fantastic running and picked out Pedro with a fantastic pass who set up Costa for the goal. That was a counter attack at it's best. He bad a bad miss, like I said, not a bad game. I hope he starts against Palace and I reckon Mourinho will go with the same trio again. No reason, not too. First signs of the trio were very promising. Let's see how they fare up against Palace.
-
Was a clear sending off and a situation he should have used his experience to know better. At first I thought it was soft. Second glance, you can see he took hold off his shirt for a few seconds. Thanks God we saw that game out. Will be interesting to see how we cope without Terry from the off considering he did not miss a game for us last season in the league.
-
Was awful. Looked so lacklusture and him in the no.10 did just not work. I actually think this season, Roma might win the league. They have strengthened well, got excellent squad depth while Juvemtus have lost 3 of their best players in Vidal, Pirlo and Tevez. Interesting.
-
Costa was awful against City. Yeah, the team was awful but when he got the ball he was battled out of it easily and was manhandled. Costa did not fare any better than Lukaku. To use today as evidence of Lukaku hold up play is unfair. Costa did receive the ball like I was saying but just could not get past them. City just look too strong right now. Have not conceded a goal.

People say Remy was poor against Arsenal. I know the circumstances have been unfortunate when Falcao has come on however he has shown nothing to make me think he can do a decent job but Mourinho constantly brings him on. it is like he feels he has to owe him something or wants to prove a point that Falcao can still score goals. Today made no sense bringing him on. We were 10 men down. Costa was doing fine, chasing down balls, holding up play well. If you are going to sub Costa, surely Remy would have been better. He is faster, better presser and more likely to get a goal for us on the counter attack. I knew it was going to plan out this way tbh. Not surprised.
