  1. WTF I thought you were trolling now I'm actually beginning to think you mean it.
  2. It's a sad day when someone celebrates buying a player more than winning a trophy.
  3. Good call, save ourselves £40 million in wages / transfer fees.
  4. I agree his pass completion is poor, but he is third in key passes per game behind Mata then Hazard. And as for passes sideways and backwards, he does play as CF, our most advance player. I'd be shocked if his passes forward was bigger than his sideways backwards percentage. In fact I'd be screaming for him to play higher up the pitch. Having said that Danny should get his chance, but against weaker opponents, till we can be sure he can deliver (I think he can).
  5. I want to win it, such a hard thing to qualify for and we are the best team in it. I'd love to rub those scouse c&@£s noses in it. Plus it's all good publicity, increasing our marketability and turn over world wide. Wish I had the wedge to actually fly out, but getting married next year so need every penny I can at the moment!
  6. I'd rather start him against slightly weaker opposition. Might have been better to start Beyrand against Shaktar, they really out fought us in midfield. But hey I'm putting that performance down to fatigue, having played only 48 hrs before and traveling thousands of miles to an away game. It takes it's toll on players, people forget this isn't FM.
  7. I like Sturridge, I think he should start games over Nando (who has started every game this year) but Utd is not the time to throw him in the deep end of leading the line. Anyone arguing otherwise needs to prove to me that he can do it.
  8. No it's not, your all slagging the guy off (with made up stats sometimes), fact is he has 2:1 goal ratio which is good, his conversion rate of clear cut chances is better than RVPs this year, he has won more aerial duels than anyone else in the team and he is third in terms of key passes. Getting tired of the constant criticism of the guy. We don't win it's Torres fault, we do win and he obviously did nothing.... can only imagine what kind of fracas would have occurred on here had it been he rather than Hazard who practically gifted Shaktar there second goal.
  9. Also scored 4 in 8 in the league. Is he back to his best? No. But does he offer more to the team than Sturridge? Yes.
  10. Just wanted to point out that Torres ha won more Ariel challenges than anyone else in our team this year, centre halves included.
  11. I really don't see us spending £48 million in Janurary, smell the coffee ppl we spent £80 million over the summer and are undefeated in the league. Now is not the time to panic. I've defended Nando a lot, but he was pants the other night, might have something to do with the fact he has started very game as our out and out striker. Week off might be in order. Personally feel that Sturridge is on his way out. Think they will replace him with someone in the £10-15 million category.
  12. I've not seen this guy play, but if his YouTube video consist of a scuffed shot from 9 yards out and a few pens I'll say pass...
  13. I partly agree, he is a good player... just get fed up with everyone blaming him when ever we lose. Been plenty of players not turning up tonight.
  14. Ppl over react, not many teams go to the Ukraine and get results. Shaktar are a good team, they are beating a team which played on Saturday, basically had two days rest. They won't play this well at the bridge, mark my words.
  15. Torres hasn't been good, care to tell me who has played well?
  16. Sigh!!! Pele never left Brazil, football wasn't a global activity like it is today with players freely flowing to the best leagues. That's why the world cup has lost a little something in recent years, the quality of club football teams is you calls better than most international clubs. Players today (messi let's say) regularly play against some of the best players in the world. Pele never underwent this kind of challenge, he stayed at Santos and continued to whip the local amateur players. I'd rather have messi, and would certainly choose Maradona over him if I had too.
  17. I for one disagree.... was a beast of a player, practically impossible to knock of the ball, with great technique and speed. Pele? Kinda tired of him, so determined to keep his so called number one perch that he fails to give the modern footballer credit. If ha e messi over him any day.
  18. Ssshhh doesn't for with the Torres is shite campaign.
  19. Nicely done... Mata and Cech have been immense this half.
  20. Not gonna argue, he played very well in the first half. Fuck me Cech!!! Well played.
  21. I really don't get this, he played very well in the first half. Rewatch this match.
  22. Nice play Nando... Linked up, moved and do nearly wrapped it up!!!
  23. Oscar was immense in the first half, was MOM until mata banged them two in.
