  1. I find it weird.... but RDM doesn't rate him, think he is gone come Jan.
  2. I suggested that preseason. I've always liked Defoe.
  3. His crosses have been first rate, not his fault nobody busted a guy to get in there. That's why we have 3 AMs.
  4. Spuds not singing so loudly now.... lol
  5. BS... He has played well today, only bad point was dwelling when clean through.
  6. Fuck yeah... Come on boys showing real character here.
  7. Oscar has been everywhere today, this kid is going to be a legend!!!
  8. Come on Nando, proving the haters wrong again.
  9. Thread cracks me up... Yeah blow £80 million in the summer, then the best part of £50 million in Jan plus wages an agent fees. You honestly think the club is going to do that? All the while Torres is geling with his team mates, we are banging in goals from all positions (inc Torres) and playing our best football in years. Far more likely that Danny boy is moved on and we buy someone like Remy to support Torres. Great striker, but I don't want him for that price.
  10. Would appear the evening standard is reporting that Danny is off and Remy is going to be his replacement come Janurary. Be sad to see Sturridge leave (if true), always good to see English players in our starting eleven.
  11. Thanks, that's a chunk of change.... probably better than our shirt sponsorship.
  12. Anyone know what our sponsorship deal with Addidas is actually worth?
  13. Preferred the change Chelsea 4th doesn't mean that much....
  14. Probably something to do with being saturated by football, SKY, streams, papers, MOTD.... list goes on. When I lived with the boys we used to watch three games on a Sunday, Monday night football, Carling cups Tueaday, midweek games /CL, Europa league..... If we were not watching it we played is on the PS2. I find I'm only interested in games by featuring Chelsea now (even England qualifiers / fireflies bore me)... I'll watch other games if I'm in the pub or at a friends. Hell I'll watch them at home but I'll be doing other things whilst doing so. It's not football my friend, it's the fact your probably watching too much!! ;p
  15. I agree with you too an extent, definitely when it comes tointernational supporters. But if you live in the UK I really think you should try to make the effort to attend a live game at some point. Hypothetical situation, two Chelsea fans live together, one goes to games the other only ever streams. Who would you say it more committed? Not a dig at anyone, circumstances some time dictate that you can't attend games. Some of those who do (as pointed out) lack passion. But on the whole the most passionate fans tend to part with hard earned cash and more importantly time to go to a game from time to time. Just my opinion...
  16. Yup, I'm tired of elitist politicians acting in there own self interest. Not sure where your from but in the UK our political system is based on The idea that your MP represents you in parliament, the reality is your MP represents a party not an individual constituency. Ask yourself this, How can a national party represent people effectively? Doesn't it undermine the idea that you elect your MP based on THIER merits rather than those of a party? Hell one of my recent constituency MPs attend parliament roughly a third of the time, whilst also claiming monies for a second home (along with her MP husband). This would be fine of the lived in Scotland, but this was a London constituency.... WTF would you claim for a second home when you main residence is in London. Only possible reasons you were cheating the system. Pffff politicians are as bad as footballers.... Only difference is footballers don't pretend to be whiter than white whilst preaching to us about national moral and ethics. Rant over... lol
  17. I agree with some of this, but not all.... those who give up spare time and there money to attend games are genuinely real fans. Most of those who used to be seated near me travel for several hours to attend games, some have the money to spare, others don't but they all donate thier personal time to actually attend a game. This is not a dig (because everyone's circumstances are different) but its far easier to log onto an online stream post a few comments on a forum than it is to actually travel to a game.
  18. Politics is depressing. I'll never forget the labour manifesto of 1997 "education, education, education" followed immediately by abolition of free university access, which has subsequently turned into (effectively) private higher education. What's more depressing is that the politicians and wider public are lambasting banks for thier short sighted ness. Yet this is the exact same curse which politicians now suffer from; say and do anything to insure that they remain in power during the next election, and screw the long term implications. It's about time the political system (not parties) was scrutinized more closely, because (in the UK anyways) its simply now working.
  19. Usually because they are tidying up the mess left behind by chronic under investment in infrastructure, healthcare etcetra.... The NHS in the UK was a product of a left wing government, along with the welfare state. Though not always a success it's provided support to those in need for nearly 50 years, providing a vital safety net for British society. Take a look at the right wing reaction to Obama care.... then tell me that left wing governments always end in failure.
