I don't think we are. It's just adding more fuel to the fire which supports the idea that we shouldn't be perusing him. He hasn't shown up against players almost twice his age and couldn't even deal with a USA left-back who isn't a left-back at club level just a few days ago. Then add the fact he took the most shots in the Bundesliga this season and ended up with barely any goals, just eurgh. Don't like him.

Worst on the pitch IMO which i didn't expect.
-
Malouda looking better than Schurrle - and I guarantee if Malouda stayed here and Schurrle joined it'd be the same story if they both played.
-
With Roma's general manager leaving their next priority is getting a manager in. It's looking increasingly likely that De Rossi will be staying put. Also that general manager who just left is expected to join Tottenham.

(Regarding Sneijder) "The rumoured price is so low, it's meant to be 7-8m euroes; so if we can get him for anything 15m(!!!) or below I would definitely take him" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wNfsNJXwyk

Hate to be a dick considering he's a Chelsea fan, but if the guy in the video above was a Liverpool or United fan he'd be ripped apart for his lack of football knowledge. Sad thing is he's our biggest Chelsea fan vlogger on Youtube behind some GuruGaming guy with a really weird intro music. SOMEONE NEW START MAKING VIDEOS!! (Not me, I'm shy.)

"We need a new right back [Azpilicueta isn't good enough apparently] and no one new in midfield" "Terry will play 75% of games. Cahill will consistently play. Luiz will rotate with Terry." (So Luiz will play 25% of our games?) Just a video if anyone's bored.

It's funny. Just having Mourinho in charge makes me not care who City or United sign, even if they go get Cavani, Xavi and Casillas or whoever. Calm. I only ever feel calm with Jose (or Ancelotti at a stretch since he's so suave) in charge.
-
This is the difference between us and City when it comes to cash. We look at long term. We bought Ashley Cole quite young, Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Luiz (sorta), Azpi etc. and they all play very well. But they go out and buy Clichy's, Navas's etc. who only have a few years left of top football and at stupidly high prices more often than not. Where is the next 'star' in their team? Nastasic? That's literally it. Idiots. They may very well win a trophy or two now, but in 5 years? Where will they be? Not at the top like us I'd be willing to bet.
-
I know he's good but he's 28 (earlier in the season I was under the impression he was more like 25.) I don't think they should have signed him for the reported price. He's very good but surely worth no more than £18m at a stretch.
-
Good gracious. I stated I'd understand Mourinho's reasoning for selling Mata due to him preferring a different sort of player. I didn't say "Mata is the same level as Benayoun, I hope he is sold" but you'd think it.
-
I'd trust Mourinho selling Mata. I think we overrate him (sorry) just slightly. He goes missing in a lot of games despite pulling something out the bag and he really is not a playmaker; he's simply an attacking midfielder (like Iniesta is an attacking midfielder whereas Silva would be a playmaker). Mourinho likes proper playmakers in advanced positions like Deco, Sneijder and Ozil - something we currently don't have. I don't think there's substance to the Marca story at all, but I would on a level understand the reasoning. I'd be upset though. My favourite player Mata is.

mMMmmmmMMMm. It would really help the wage bill having him depart. In theory freeing up wage space for a brand new central defender.. like Subotic, Hummels etc. Didn't make that many appearances last season and when he did he rarely performed good imo. No player is untouchable.
-
Hulk - "Not good enough" De Rossi - "Too old" Sneijder - "Hasn't been decent for years" So who should we sign?
-
He played as a striker at this start of his career before his move to Bayer and that's it. He's played as an unorthodox winger or I guess he could have passed for a support striker. Tevez is always deployed behind Aguero as a second-striker or put up front with Silva/Nasri behind him and used as a proper striker. He does go left and right but that's due to his work-rate which is completely irrelevant to his role. Schurrle is deployed on the left and typically stays there and holds his position on the wing.
-
But he's not a striker and you said he is. Any player can play as a striker. I'm sure Luiz could play as a striker. But that doesn't mean he should or it should be considered an option. Schurrle would not be bought to be played as a striker. Bayer don't play him as a striker. Germany don't play him as a striker. Because he isn't a striker. He has some of the worst finishing I've witnessed this decade I think so really shouldn't be considered for such a role.
-
I don't think so. He categorically called him a striker. Hazard has stamina, pace, speed, technique and creativity (Schurrle doesn't have a very good shot IMO. Most shots in the Bundesliga this season, barely any goals) but he's not a forward, striker or inside-forward. Schurrle is an unorthodox winger IMO.

Football agent Jose Alberti has told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli (a radio station based in Naples I believe) that Cavani will indeed be signing for us.
-
I thought a few years ago that he'd join Bayern Munich and be considered one of the best strikers in the world. But no, he made the awful decision to move to City. I'm positive that in the right team he will be considered one of the greats of this decade if he hits the ground running. He has everything and it's sad how underrated he is by some. He's the player that some think Gomez is because of his goal-record, basically.
-
He'll move. I'm positive. Roma have treated him awful this season and it's no longer the Roma he's used to. The team is full of, no offence to them, heartless pussies full of individual errors and with Totti's next season apparently being his last it'd be wise to leave before they collapse any further. Roma are sickeningly bad when it comes to transfers which is such a shame considering I really like them. De Rossi's smart. He won't stick around just because it's called "AS Roma". The owners have changed, the board has changed, the crest has changed, they continue to lose, they treat him like we did Malouda almost, so yeah. Bring him in. I think the reason he didn't move to Man City is because things were looking promising. A new Lamela, new manager etc. all looked good. Then Borini was banging in goals, everything looked like a bright future. Now they've got rid of Borini, are getting rid of Osvaldo, Destro isn't expected to be retained and their only targets are the likes of Matri. No offence but surely De Rossi would like to play for a top club before he retires.
-
I think he's on £105k a week and City offered him that £200k which he rejected.
-
Ah, I've actually heard about Roma wanting Wallace all season. Go for it. Good deal.
