You can't blame some of us for being sceptical especially after lots of members made Marin out to be a German Messiah (and of course that stupid German Messi rubbish) before he arrived.
-
The level he was playing with and against tonight looked so beneath him which is a huge thing to say. He was up against Roma, Napoli and mid-table Serie A first team regulars as well as Verratti who plays a pivotal role at PSG. It also shows how good Italy are with their youth now considering their U21 team is made up of players who play big roles in their club's first teams whereas only 3 or so of the England players could have staked that claim tonight.

I think the club didn't pick the best loans for him but had really thought out the Swansea move with good intentions since they're a passing team and he's a passing player. It didn't work out, they instantly assumed "okay he's clearly not ready for this level" and probably bit the hand off the first Championship team to show an interest in him who'd play him often. I don't think he would have got enough playing time at somewhere like Brighton, but they probably would have been the ideal team for him had he been slotted into the Starting XI. Now we just have to think about the future. I personally feel he's still not ready for us simply because of his lack of work rate, so I'd like to loan him to a pressing team. A pressing and passing team. But where would he get that? I'm clueless.

Matic currently reminds me of Ballack. His role is really restricted at the moment though but I think if he was given more freedom in a new system other people would start seeing the comparison far more clear. As long as 'pivots' are popular though or he's deployed as a defensive midfielder I fear he'll reach the heights of Khedira or one of the Bender brothers and not Ballack or Essien which I genuinely think he has a chance at.

Does anyone else think his skin and sometimes overly defined cheekbones gives off the impression he may do cocaine on the weekends?
-
He comes in and becomes a great bench option; much better than what we've had in recent years; or he plays well enough to earn a starting place in the team. Where is the "lose" part in this situation?
-
Excuse me? Today I've stated that Mata often goes missing in games and in none of the parts you quoted did I say he doesn't go missing in games. As for the Ozil comparisons Mata possesses qualities Ozil doesn't - he's more direct and gets the ball to the striker quicker - which would improve Real Madrid. As for Ozil, he's more of a proper playmaker who dictates play - which I touched on earlier - and while not possessing the same eagerness as Mata or having the same infectious rub on players to make them perform better, is generally the better passer. I've always stood by those. Can both of you understand that first of all: Changing your mind is not a bad thing, but that also in this instance I haven't even changed my mind on anything?
-
Reported simply for being a cock over and over again with posts like this. So annoying now. I'm not intelligent enough, Mata isn't manly looking enough; You really need to focus on yourself more.
-
How does Torres continue to play for us? Mertesacker has 90 caps for Germany. Doesn't mean he's a top centre back. Yes - ONE of the best clubs - none of the other best clubs. There's a reason for that.
-
No lol. It means I thought his post was good. I've also always maintained that Oscar has a higher ceiling than Mata so there is no contradiction. Can you quote me once overhyping him? No. Can you quote me sharing my admiration for him many times? Yes. Don't get the two confused. I never said there was, so don't start up a discussion about that. Everyone knows there's no reason to sell him and no one has said there is a reason in our minds to. Obviously I don't which is where you fail. If you have a formulated opinion you stick to that opinion and refuse to change and FLOW as you later put and change your opinions and ideas which I do a lot. You can't grow unless you accept change. No. You're just seeing that I disagree with popular opinions quite often and attribute that to some pre-meditated want to rustle feathers which is an impression you may get but not my intention. Do I literally have to beg you to add me to your ignore list?

Why is it the club's fault when it comes to McEachran but not the fault of the club when it comes to Kakuta?
-
Because he doesn't have any. Can't pass well, cross well, finish well, tackle well. All there is is this mythical 'hard working ability'. He tracks back, sure, but he's not bloody Ramires like people make him sound.
-
Must half your posts revolve around me? I said Coutinho had contributed more to Liverpool since his arrival, which he had if you go by stats, and that he was in better form for a month.
-
...Yes? We all know that. I recommended seeing every goal of his from this season. How else would anyone see his goals?
-
McEachran was awful. I don't think more than half of his passes were on target. The difference between he and Chalobah is like the distance from Stamford Bridge to the Camp Nou on foot.
-
The team done by WhoScored?
-
Said he was amazing

You should really be asking "Who at Schurrle's age would also be a German international", because First of all; Youth players don't play as German internationals and neither did Schurrle; and secondly; He's no longer a regular. If i was to look into my crystal ball though and our players all got German passports, Loftus-Cheek, Chalobah, perhaps Boga if Germany were to adapt to a more expansive style of play and maybe even Musonda would get in there.
-
He has the worst conversion rate in the Bundesliga this past season. I disagree.
-
Don't generalize me. I'm discussing Schurrle's transfer and you're having a go at people and wrongly throwing me amongst them for 'worshiping' (laughable) Mourinho?
-
If he was as good as people claim, "resale value" due to his age would be irrelevant. If he's that good with such a high-potential ceiling, why would we consider selling him?
-
We payed the top price expecting Ramires to come in and replace Essien as our #1 box-to-box player. But this reported figure for what everyone assumes is a 'depth option' who happens to have some of the worst end product in the Bundesliga will and rightly so infuriate some people including myself. That's 20m which could be added to signing someone like Cavani, De Rossi, a defender, a back up keeper, Shaw, anyone. But no, it's being justified by saying "he works hard." Lalkovic and Boga work hard too in our youth. Why not use them? "He has potential" - So do Kakuta, Piazon, etc. Why not use them? There is no logic behind this transfer. None.
-
You just don't pay this sort of money for someone who will "work hard and give his all". Any of our youth team players would do that without us having to pay a penny in transfers. For this sort of money I expect a lot and I know we won't get it.
-
He's like a more hard-working Malouda with worse finishing and crossing IMO. That figure really better be in euros.
-
Ozil directly contributed to 26 goals in 31 appearances before Mourinho signed him though.
