All we need is to knock down the stupid hotel and build a proper shed end, surely that would take it up to at least 55k? Having said the hotel robably creates more income than 10-15k new seats would anyway. We don't sell out every game either and if we had a 60k ground it would be half empty for the smaller cup games. And naming rights? Can you imagine playing in the samsung stadium or something like that? Stamford Bridge any day. You're never gonna get a better area that what we have now either.
Yeah acoustics really arent very good, both are great though and it's good we now have two proper singing ends. My ST is in shed lower so I sit there every league game and move over to MHL for cup games and to be honest theres not really much difference imo.
R.I.P Quite a few MH songs but they never really got going because I don't think a lot of our fans realised, wouldn't have hurt niel barnett to mention it at half time.
MHL does have quite a few restircted view seats which are about £22. If you're lucky the most it blocks off is the cornerflag by the away fans. Row 16 and at a push 15 in the shed lower are restricted when standing although the club doesn't say so. My seat is row 14 which is absolutely fine.
I've had an oyster card so long I can't remember but I think it's about £6. You might be better off getting an oyster card because you can use it anytime you're in London and it probably works out cheaper.
We are obviosly going to gain new fans everytime we are successful and it's not a new thing, speak to some of the older guys at the Bridge today and see how many of them first followed Chelsea after the 1970 cup final. Just like new fans today they probably started going with their mates and fell in love with the club through the experiences they had and were hooked for life, as soon as the final whistle went at my first match I knew I'd have a season ticket one day. People who know what football is all about will never stray because even if were playing in league 1 in 10 years time it will still be the same Chelsea.
Blackburn v Peterborough, Man City v Scunthorpe, Spurs v Everton,Barnsley v Man Utd, Chelsea v Bolton, Sunderland v Aston Villa, Arsenalv Liverpool, Portsmouth v Stoke Can I be the first to say a massive meh
What I think your'e saying is that you need more than one ticket for the City game? If so you will need a membership for each person going as you can get one ticket per member, Man City will most likely sell out pretty fast.
I never want to leave Stamford Bridge just for the sake of a few more seats. It's in one of the best places in London, the whole feel of the place is great - compare that with the likes of West Ham and Spurs. It's also completely unique, theres no other ground in the world like it all these new stadiums are nearly identical and all the ones I've been to feel lifeless. We've always played there and going to the match would never be the same without the walk along the Fulham Rd, home games are geneally crap for atmosphere but I still look forward to them for all those reasons and more. We struggle to sell out as it is and even for the big games you see a few empty seats. Not to mention the name - Stamford Bridge - how cool is that?
