I'm not commenting Alonso at his Real stay, i wanted to say that if it wasn't Masch lpool wouldn't have that trio and Alonso wouldn't shine as much as he did, and who knows he may never been transfered to Real. About Mikel.I think we all accept Makelele was the most complete DM ever.He was faaar more aggresive compared to Mikel, had more pace to cover spaces and was much more clever in what he was doing compared to Mikel, all in all Obi is faar faar away from being good DM.

No offenses to Xabi, but he would've been half the name he is, if it wasn't Mascherano tackling everything moving.Damn i miss Masch in the prem.

in 4-3-3 he can play as third mid, but in 4-2-3-1, i don't see place for him.

I don't rate Mikel as CDM, his postioning is average, he isn't aggresive, rarely makes succesful tackles.

Well my opinion is before an AVB u need a Capello first.

About Capello, i would take him in a heartbeat.He is the best italian manager, no doubt.He's been succes everywhere and he don't tolerate "player power", perfect transition manager.Capello for 2 years will build such a good foundations that every young attacking minded manager will jump to us, like bee to honey.

The only problem i see for him is he doesn't have that much pace, 1 injury and he will be as fast as Ess.

He proved what ?The starting eleven were well known for every1, but when we really needed some1 to turn the things around (after Caroll's goal), he did nothing.

My ideal mid for next season would be Modric,Tiote starters.Romeu(backup for Tiote),Mceachran(backup for Modric) and Lamps. in 4-2-3-1, 5 players for 2 places more then suited.If we revert to 4-3-3, Ramires slots in and we have 6 players for 3 places. Sell: 1.Mikel. 2.Essien. 3.Meireles.
