I think they are well aware of his (huge,huge,huge) contribution and its significance. It looks to me like they're trying to approach this issue with reason and logic (which don't always work). There are still questions about Bobby and those questions have to be answered. Logically maybe he's the closest candidate to getting the job? Both Bobby and Roman are staunch supporters of the club and that has got to count for something.

I think there are some truth in these rumours, only that they're subject to change so the parties concerned probably won't make any statements. If it does happen we do have a lot of Brazilians so yeah they're in most likelihood are going to do their best to help him settle down with the team and the league. Thankfully and hopefully.
