Gah! I was trying to figure out Roman's logic for this stalling and this is all I can come up with. Roman wants to give Bobby the job He wants to have Pep in line just in case Bobby screws up Bobby won't take kindly to another 'test' season with a 12-month contract Roman can give Bobby the contract he deserves, but he runs the risk of Pep running away If Pep runs away and Bobby turns out flop Chelsea is royally screwed In this particular case, I say fuck logic. Just give him the job and ride the wave. Plus when Mourinho wins the CL with Madrid in all probability he'll be available.

Generally my concern as well. He doesn't know the club. Bobby can be our equivalent of him here. Hopefully Roman would see it in this light as well, seeing how they're both passionate about the club and all.

Doesn't that depend on the quality of the bus as well? Not to mention that not every team is adept at parking the bus. Even parking a bus is an art in itself. A beastly, ugly, gritty art, but an art nonetheless. :eyebrows: That said, my memory is rather short and I can only recall the biggest, latest four occasions where he faced the tactic and lost them all (well he won against Inter once..didn't matter too much as it turned out). So how does he negate the tactic in the occasions that he won against it? (sorry I don't really watch La Liga) And more importantly - is he able beat Mou's A380 yet? Aside from being the manager of our European archnemesis of the past few years, I don't really have anything against him. Just thought he's a bit unproven still, which put him on the same page as Bobby in my book. But that's just me.

My main gripe about him is that he's been facing this "park the bus" tactic a numerous times over the years and yet fail to produce a solution for it. Either he's a proud [insert noun] or he's just not that great tactically. The next Chelsea manager should at least know how to get around a bus jumbo jet because I can sense it coming to bite us in the ass one day. IMO. edit: Darn. Gloriously 'ed lol.

It's a beautiful morning (with signs of storm coming in the noon) and I'm thinking that perhaps Bobby is the perfect man for us. Here's a guy who's cool as fuck, works with what he has with little to no fuss. Tell me that's not perfect for Roman and co. because let's face it - the manager is not boss at Chelsea. They don't call the position "head coach" for nothing. Perhaps what we need is a man who's willing to be a part of an equation, not a Ferguson. It's just a thought though. I'm sure there are things that I miss. Being halfway around the world and all.
