I would love to have him for this amount here. He scores with both feet clinically, does it in the CL and has oodles of passion and desire to score
-
I wouldn't buy him for 20M either but to say that he's not Chelsea level is silly... He's scoring goals for fun right now. I think he's a good stop gap if you still are hedging your bet on Torres and/or Lukaku.
-
I really like this guy! Apparently Chelsea sent scouts today to watch him. He possesses great finishing ability with his left, right or head, loads of composure and that never say die spirit that every striker needs. He's also on a ridiculous run of form where he's scoring goals for fun in all competitions. I wouldn't entertain it if its for more than £20m but he looks like he could be a decent solution to our eyesore of a striker conundrum.

Go find another club to support loser.

Found this on another site agree 100% with every word Torres.... he's been piss poor for close to two years now and most people gave him undying loyalty. He is on the highest wages on the club and has returned it with missed sitter after missed sitter… He complains that his teammates don’t know how to get him the ball, we go out and get Mata, who led the league in assists and opportunities created. When that wasn’t enough we went out and bought Oscar and Hazard to help Mata help Torres, still no difference… We fired three coaches in large part due to his poor performances…. No change. Beyond that the guy comes out and publicly admits that while he was slumping he didn’t care if the team won or lost… still backed him. After winning the biggest trophy a club can win he says he wants to reassess his future with the club because its not what he thought it was gonna be like…. Honestly the biggest mistake wasn’t not buy another striker in the summer, it was not paying attention to the rather large elephant in the room that kept yelling at a room full of board of directors “I DON’T BELONG HERE! I DON’T WEAR THIS BADGE WITH PRIDE! I’M HERE ONLY FOR THE MONEY, WINNING MEANS NOTHING!” And NOT trying to offload him for a bag of adidas size 5 footballs. What an ungrateful sack of shit, he comes here and wins his first important club trophy then questions the club’s direction because he wasn’t playing well…. The only good the comes of this is it makes what the priority in is January irrefutable… We need some sort of a striker, I don’t care who it is anymore just give the gutless chicken a permanent seat on the bench… I’m not only over it(I was before he even started) I’m sick of seeing him whine and complain on the pitch when he’s been piss poor, I’m sick of knowing he needs to be subbed and knowing he won’t be, I’m sick of the myriad of excuses, I’m sick of the lack of understanding… Whatever it takes BRING IN A FUCKING STRIKER PLEASE
-
And furthermore wouldn't it just be cool to see this team terrorize the Prem league for years and just say fuck Europe? Who knows some of the super elite money teams might just start their own tournament and who wouldn't pay good money to watch City, Chelsea, PSG, Zenit and a couple other big spenders square off?
-
Ya that seems close to accurate
-
So because PSG do it we're in a position to do so? did they have any players on high wages before they signed these names? not exactly a model to follow wouldn't you agree?
-
Because his value will never be higher and he's already won the Europa league
-
For 200k a week? who can afford that? And please don't say Anhzi he will never go there... 200k is ridiculous fees for FFP won't happen unless its generational talent
-
Ya and we also bought Hazard, Oscar, Marin, Moses, DeBruyne, Cahill... We won't have CL revenue this year. I want Falcao just not for those ridiculous numbers
-
The team is looking better...

I think the fact that Fellaini is diverse and is good to great in many of the positions he is capable of playing in make him an ideal target for a team that need midfielders but do not have a long term solution at manager. Fellaini is great in the air and pretty much as influential as Essien was in a box to box role. If the fee isn't ridiculous we would be dumb not to acquire him in January given our injuries and need for steel in the midfield
-
Thank God is Mirror.... I don't think FFP makes those types of deals even remotely possible ever again(if its serious of course) Mirror is just trying to get its viewership up...
-
Lets be real here you can't be one dimensional if your aim is to win titles. We need an in form striker capable of utilizing the space guys like Oscar, Mata, Moses and Hazard will provide. We also need a physically competent striker who can hold up the ball and win aerial battles. I say Falcao, Bony and Lukaku is a decent strike force going forward, they all have different qualities and could be useful in multiple attacking scenarios. We don't know who our next manager will be, meanwhile we have the league to worry about and our only striker is slow and not really dependable; its a no-brainer that we grab a guy like Falcao if he's made available. He is one of the best strikers in the World right now... When we bought Shevy he was passed it and Nando was damaged goods I don't get why people always point to those two when talking about going big, what about buying Drogba? Anelka? Zola? Hasselbaink? Vialli? It doesn't always go sour you just have to do your homework and keep Roman signing cheques not making the signings. Falcao has low bust potential.

I feel like you've said this about 10 times this thread... lol I think its safe to say he's WAYYYYYY better than Torres whether or not he is worth the price tag without moving Torress is something else

Piazon, Marin, Cesar, Turnbull(or Blackman), Romeu, Sturridge... Wouldn't mind recalling Josh for this either -

Won't be too bad so long as the kids get a run out... This could help us develop depth from within finally -

Clearly you're about as intelligent as a fucking gnat. I love the internet, I hate the fact that its overrun by whiny little kids who hide behind their computer screens and talk utter nonsense. Mikel has been fine this year, more than Mikel actually -

Mikel's been fine hardly the reason we haven't been performing well. you guys need to just take a step back and remember this is a new team still finding its way. Comparing it to last years team of teams of years past is both ridiculous and extremely premature. -

because Fulham Broadway was apparently closed thanks to an incident at South Ken. and everybody rushed off to get the tube at Earl’s Court. -
I think you're over thinking this one mightily. We'll be fine Brana knows who he's up against and the problems it creates he's a smart player and steely. We won't need width to beat a team like the Spurs they play an open game and look to attack we can exploit them on the break with our pace
-
Again this isn't any different from the Arsenal game... They have to worry about us going forward more than we need to worry about them in my opinion. This is gonna be an interesting game for sure but I feel our strengths outweigh the Spurs.
