  1. If we start with Sturridge and Kalou Danny will be on the left and Kalou on the right.
  2. Lots of little kids on this site... You fellas need to show some respect to the opposition. Gomez is a very good striker, one we would be delighted to have if he were on our team. He is always in the right area to score and while he does miss a few he also scores a few. No one will even remember the misses if he scores in the final and I would bet if he does none of you would forget it. either. This is a massive game but I would think it more prudent to respect the opposition rather than trying to appear overconfident. This is by no means going to be an easy game for either team we will rely on our defending and counter they will rely on their attacking and home field to get them through. No one can predict the outcome it will just come down to who wants it more. I stand firm when I say whoever wins the midfield battle will say a lot about who wins the game...
  3. I think this is a different set of circumstances, we don't really have the options we had before. If the aim is to play counter attacking football its Sturridge over Malouda. Those hoping its Torres should expect to be let down. We need a weapon on the bench and if you start both Didier and Torres you lose that
  4. How can you not just love this guy?? Ramires..... http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/7752157/
  5. We will utilize the counter attack for sure but I don't think that is where the game will be won or lost. Whichever team wins the midfield battle will prevail IMO, Kroos, Bastian and Muller(?) vs. Lamps, Mikel and Mata... I believe you have more attacking zeal but we have more steel, whichever comes to the forefront will decide the contest.
  6. Its human nature it may not have a major impact but to say it won't have any is a stretch... They are a young team who just lost a cup final and surrendered the most goals in a loss since 2009. That has to be viewed as a positive... How much of one is definitely in question
  7. Has to be debilitating, losing to your closest domestic rival soundly in a cup final. Neuer will be rattled for sure and knowing that two of their defenders will be out? Didier has to be charged up knowing this
  8. Anger doesn't lead to the best brand of football... This is a crushing defeat to a big rival I would think if anything it will take some wind out of their sails.
  9. Less than annoyed more just baffled... At the fact you're here on a Chelsea forum trying to convince someone why we should be more fearful of Bayern since they don't present the same problems as Barca. And if that's not enough you say they're not your words you just posted them, Why? were you looking for a reaction?
  10. No shit you're not Barca! Thanks for taking the time to point that out.... LOL. Previous opponents mean nothing because Bayern haven't come up against a side like Chelsea and vice versa. When was the last time Bayern had to face a CF like Didier Drogba?
  11. So what's the point of even mentioning Barca and Bayern when in all likelihood we won't defend the same way? I would think we will give your central defense a world of trouble with Drogba's physicality should we compare what differences we present to Bayern in respects to how Real played?
  12. What a joke... The expert analysis seems to suggest that Chelsea will defend exactly the same way they did against Barca and that where Barca made mistakes is where Bayern will capitalize. Give it a rest buddy, its gonna be a great game no one can tell what's going to happen.
  13. MY mistake I was on the ESPN site. Slightly more optimistic now... slightly
  14. he has 2 assists.... and if you ignore the last 4 games he's had 13 goals in 29 games. 35M can get you a heck of a lot more Oh and by comparison the selfish Daniel Sturridge has 11 goals and 3 assists in 29 games.
  15. What does Aguero and Suarez have to do with Hulk? And no... he hasn't been "excellent" for his last 4 seasons in 08-09 he was playing in China... in 09-10 he has 8 goals and 5 assists in 28 games. His best year was 10-11 where he had what many are calling an aberration where he had 28 goals and 7 assists. This season he's been struggling and caught fire late with 7 goals in 4 games... if you ignore the last 4 games he's had 13 goals in 29 games and only 2 assists. Sorry but £35M can get you a hell of a lot more these days
  16. No because a lot of the big scoring games were with AVB at the helm, 3-3 to Man Utd(2 pks not the defences fault) and 3-1 to Napoli. The Diame goal from the Wigan game was a screamer!
  17. No chance he misses the finals! I would say amen to that idea... These are all smokescreens just like Cahill and Luiz being in doubt for the final
  18. I fail to see how this is significant? anyways I don't see any reason why we should fork over 30M+ for a guy who had one good season in the Portuguese league. We do have a good record with those players but Hulk to me screams bust. If we're going to make one glamour buy I hope its someone else like say... FALCAO!
  19. HULK He's caught fire lately but this season has to seen as a left off for him...
  20. In form striker vs. out of form striker.... hmmm... Falcao is one of the most feared strikers in the world right now give me him over Hulk 99/100 times
  21. Man... The amount of Essien hate here is deafening. He's not past anything he's just not up to game speed after missing more than 6 months. We haven't been able to give him enough games at get him back to full fitness. I'm anticipating a full summer of training and a complete training camp will get him back to controlling to midfield... I agree its hard to imagine now though.
  22. Haha! ya new super friends.... I want no part of him on the pitch though
