Anyone worried about today? Not any significant changes in the line=up, so I am confident. Some stats I found on GOAL, sorry if already posted: Norwich lost their first match in 11 games against West Brom on Saturday, ending their longest sequence without defeat in the top-flight since March 1987.Only the two Manchester clubs, United (11) and City (10), have scored more goal from set-pieces than Norwich (9).Grant Holt has committed 44 fouls this season, the joint most in the league, while only one player, Everton’s Nikica Jelavic (29), has been caught offside more times than Holt (24).The Canaries have scored three goals from direct free-kicks, the joint-most in the league alongside Chelsea.Norwich have not beaten the Blues since 10 December 1994; in the five meetings between the two sides since then, the Blues have averaged 2.8 goals per game.Chelsea’s 8-0 victory over Aston Villa on Sunday, which equalled their highest ever league win, was only their second victory in their last nine league games. The west London club became the first side to have seven different scorers in one match in the Premier League era when they hammered the Villans. Chelsea are 11/1 to win 3-0 with William Hill.Branislav Ivanovic (pictured right) is the Premier League’s topscoring defender, with four goals this season (making him the Blues’ joint-third highest scorer in the league).Chelsea have received more yellow cards for diving (4) than any other team in the Premier League. The Blues have scored from the penalty spot five times this season, the most in the league, while Norwich are yet to be awarded a spot-kick. Really worried about set pieces, after reading this.

In my opinion, he may become a great goalscorer even if he fails to improve his first touch and link-up play. Strikers score most of their goals with one touch finishes inside the box - awareness, power and technique of shooting are needed and he possesses them. And yeah he's 19 years old. Have you ever watched a game of some youth or reserve league? All those lads playing in top football academies have an obvious talent, but they lack all sort of tactical understanding or whatsoever. Lukaku is very mature for his age and that is normal considering he's playing professionally since the age of 16. I would compare him to Torres from his Atletico days. He was an exciting talent at the age of 20 but anyone could see that his first touch wasn't great at all. Honestly it has never been, but that didn't stopped him from becoming the most feared forward in the Premier League since his arrival from Spain. It's all about finding the right team. If Lukaku joins a team that plays to his strengths he may become a top top striker.

Wonderful, we could have easily hit double figures though. With Benitez we are actually crossing, which is something new for this team. The result is 7 different goalscorers - goals are just coming from anywhere and this makes us dangerous. It could be Torres with the composure, Ivanovic on the corner kicks, Lampard with the screamer, Luiz with the free kick or Ramires with the pace etc. One just doesn't know what to expect now. We should be excited about next games!

The one you are talking about is in the final of the Barclays Asia trophy in 2007, which Liverpool lost on penalties against Portsmouth. On the other hand I don't remember him to have missed a penalty for the National team or Atletico.

Mata, Hazard and Oscar for the Golden, Silver and Bronze ball award and Torres to be the top goalscorer of the tournament. I can see this happening really

We can't complain about anything today. He seems confident and in good form. Very difficult one touch finish, first ever penalty in the EPL (and he had to discuss with Luiz to take it!! OMG wtf is going on really?!) + great shot with the left foot in the bar.. MOTM! This time he'll keep it up.

Is it legal to offer to Donetsk a considerable cash bonus if they do us a favour? We can even give them Torres for free to sell some more shirts.

For me our Champions league run this season is over. I'm ready to bet my money for the week on a draw in the Juve-Shaktar game. However, rest some players, no pressure, win it 1-0 and hope for the miracle.

The CWC can save the season.

thankfully the electricity here went off in the 2nd half

Next interview with him will be worth reading.

I don't how he'll have the motivation and the attitude, knowing that he'll be here till the summer.

Damn man, don't be such a downer! Can't I dream for a moment?
-
We win 3-0 and I am getting rich.

In my opinion it would be better to draw this. If we do win this, Juve are out, with nothing to play against Shaktar, and then we're second in the group.

We are going down boys. There's nothing worse than going home in a great mood and see such a result. Without having watched the game I may suppose that after taking the lead WBA have done great job defensively and my man Torres has been scratching his balls for I don't know how many minutes. Obviously, without Mata this team doesn't reach its potential but the good thing is that the next league game is again City at home. We should really find a way to get out of this bad series of games.

Oh that's something new! I just hippe Oriol does well.
-
He can score 15+ goals for any team in any league. However, I don't think he'll leave in January.
-
To all the people moaning about Marin. Don't expect much from the guy, he was not bought to be a starter. Robbie sees him training everyday, so obviously he's not good enough to play. Well at least I'm ready to trust him.
-
He was so pumped up through out the game. Maybe he'll score against Juve if he has the same attitude.

Anyone studying in London or in Scotland? I would prefer to apply for a degree in London, rather than Glasgow or Aberdeen for example, but I'm afraid that studying at such institutions like KCL, LSE or Imperial may be too posh. I just want a normal student life, which excludes all the 'spoilt children' showing off 24/7. On the other hand, Scottish Unis don't offer the same reputation and prestige, but they seem to be a great place to study and live.

True, he never lived up to the expectations since his Atleti time. It's another thing that these were set too high for a player who relies on his pace and finishing exclusively. However, he was close to these expectations for two years and that's how he made a name for himself. I would even go as far as saying that he deserved the Ballon d'Or in 2008, but as you see that's 4 years from now and he's never been close to that level. That inconsistency is something I don't understand.

We're at home. We win this.

In the last 20 minutes we looked too tired. At least I hope it's fatigue and not lack of motivation.

Oh boy, he has always had a heavy touch and an average link up play. There's a reason the Spanish boys in the NT don't pass him while building up the attacks. He had great pace and lethal finishing and these assets helped him become the best striker in the world. I'm not really sure though what he has now besides the name on the back of the shirt. Also, he has always played for mediocre teams, against which the opposition doesn't stay back for 90 minutes and allows them to counter attack. That's how he became such a hit - by taking advantage of his speed, and that's why I doubt he'll succeed here. I'm tired of seeing him smiling ironically when decisions don't get his way. That is the biggest decline for a football player I've ever seen, and it hurts to say it. He should just find a way to sort his shit out, because I'm sure he realises how bad he's playing at the moment and it's embarrassing for everyone involved.
