Amazing to read the hatred & insults written here. All for some idiotic comments he made several years ago. Are we all so limited as to not see what Rafa has done with Chelsea recently ? Do we want the team to continue winning or are we going to dwell on some groundless comments made by him ? Personally, I like to see the team moving ahead, winning games & perhaps even winning the PL title.

I honestly do not understand why BA is sought for. One does not need to be a manager to see BA is after money here. Is he worth 80thou a week ? To me, he is not. I too would rather see an alternative to BA. Now, I read Chelsea refused to pay BA agents 2m in fees they are demanding. Chelsea offered standard 5 % of BA´s contract. Also, less than 70thou a week was offered. I´d say, take it or leave it.

Any contract with BA should be carefully written. Based on appearance, goals scored..., somehow, I still think 80though a week is too much for him. Agent fees & all that comes up to close to 30m, too much in my way of thinking. The kid Lukaku should be called upon & certainly Chelsea can guarantee the same amount of play time as WB now.

How about Wesley Sneijder ? A magnificent player & he is still only 28. Inter would take 8million for him. Since Frank is being offloaded why not Wesley?

Rafa = unloved, abused, ridiculed but somehow he made Chelsea a winning team again. Currently, Chelsea are winning games. What do you give to a manager who has suddenly conjured wins from a team that was going nowhere ? A center-forward, a midfielder...? The team has courage under fire, tenacity & desire to win games again. Chelsea look like a team that started to believe in itself again. Personally, I am satisfied with Rafa´s job, so far.

Well, when one adds it all up... Relatively cheap fee of 7m, the true cost of signing could be closer to 30m. 5m agent fees, four year deal worth 80 thou a week are factored in. I´d say, run away from further talks.

Well, I agree, the amount of money for BA looks like a bargain. As we all know, Ferda is the darling of....will he be benched ?

Even though, BA would be a good acquisition for Chelsea I am still not convinced he is the answer. Unless, Rafa is prepared to bench Torres & let BA to start in games. He was useless playing in wider position, as we had seen at Newcastle in the latter part of their season.

Since 3 points are needed, Rafa will not rest too many players, at least not from the start. Once the team leads 2-3 zip, then others should play.

As I read above..the objective is to win at any cost, no matter how the team plays as long as they win. We, I would slightly disagree here. Do we want to see park the bus tactics & pray for the other team to misfire on their chances ? If I may, I do not care much to see these types of fucking football games. Wasn´t it much more enjoyable to see Chelsea playing an attacking football ? I do not believe Roman was or is looking to hire a manager who is going to play defensive style only. Of course, Roman needs to buy players to play " beautiful football games. "

Well said, The same applies with me. Since I do not care about Rafa much as a person, I do not know him or care to know him, I just like the way he molded this team in shape, lately. To walk into Everton, fall behind, mostly outplayed in the first half, then come out flying & win the game some credit to him is due, I feel. As you said before, we all will judge him, later. I just wonder what we all gonna say if he brings trophies to the club. Are those that are singing stupidity gonna apologize, then ?
