  1. If our board has at least some knowledge in football, they should keep Cole for any price. He IS the best LB in football still, no doubt about it. In defence and attack, his passion to club, etc. Great player. Yes, he is 31, but still in great form, has experience with PL and we dont have proper replacement. Give him 2 years, he will do the job well, and if he somehow loses form in one year, we can still sell him to china to Drogba or just keep him. He is definately one of few at chelsea that actualy deserves the payment he gets. Yes there is policy about 30+ age at Chelsea, regarding contract extentions, but ffs I have no clue why would we let Cole go just like that...
  2. I think we would look stupid if we dont manage to sell such name as Torres for at least 15mio, considering prices nowdays. There are China, Arabia, Anzhi, etc who would take him for even more.
  3. Anelka was so underrated. He had attitude problems, but I was glad that we had Carlo as coach and he coached Anelka great. Drogba, Anelka and Malouda were absolutely briliant in 2009/10. If they were still so good. would have them anytime ahead of any other trio in the world...
  4. Sorry, I meant captain of Psv. Well sure he is not on top yet, but looks like very good player as he is only 22. And we are interested in young players. Oscar wasnt 'chelsea quality' (whateva that means), but he proved to be very good. But United is in pole position, however Strootman also said that he wont leave in january for sure.
  5. Rdm will still use him as first choice, you want it or not. He didnt play recently because he was injured, not because he was bad. Terry is injured, Iva is our RB and Cahill is not first choice. There I dont see why Luiz would be 4th choice...
  6. Short passing football through middle is our plan A. But we need to execute it properly with deadly finisher in the end.
  7. In PL, its good to have at least one clinical finisher ala Rvp or Aguero. Who is such type of player that you mentioned above? Where is aerial ability and some direct play if plan A wouldnt work?
  8. If it means anything, he at least likes the club and is not some fucking mercenary.
  9. What about buying Granero from QPR for 10mio? He seems like very good player, but QPR is shit team. He is very good friend of Mata (both are from RM Castilla). 25 yrs old and his stats are quite good. He was praised from Mourinho several times too. Would be cheap but very quality option in january.
  10. Are we looking for a poacher or someone that can play with the team (passing, creating chances, etc...) Because there are three such players: David Villa Sergio Aguero Luis Suarez or poachers Cavani Falcao Lewandowski (he is actualy a mix of both) And I dont see Aguero or Suarez that could join us anytime soon...
  11. I would realy take Strootman ahead of this guy. The guy is 22 and already Holland NT captain. He could lead our midfield. Imagine him with Romeu once...but right now, if we get anyone like Strootman (young), he will stall Romeu's development.
  12. Inflated prices? Ok, but isnt Falcao 'worth' €60m and if we want him we will have to pay that much in january or in summer? So, in theory, we wouldnt pay more, despite 'inflated' prices...
  13. Just be patient with him. If we will play possession football someday soon, he will be very usefull. Not many CBs are so skilled as Luiz, but he needs to learn how to play tacticaly.
  14. Agree. Bender wouldnt be bad either. Or Holtby.
  15. He should never be lone DM here. He would be fantastic for rotation, but maybe we dont need him here at all. De Rossi or Fernandinho fits more to our team actualy
  16. I think (if he comes here) he would play along Mikel. Mikel is DM and Fellaini would be B2B player. Could work, but he lacks speed and long pass ability.
  17. I would pick Falcao/Cavani anytime ahead Neymar realy. They are just clinical finishers, while Neymar is creator and we have plenty of that.
  18. Well I realy liked germans in WC 2010 with their young team and fantastic football. They lost to spain, but were equaly good opponent in that game. I remember when Lahm? (or someone) said that 'once you have ball in possession against Spain, you just dont know what to do'. That football was pure joy to watch. Definately most beautiful football on NT level since Brasilian 'samba'. The speed, efficiency, skill, defending. Ozil, Muller, Khedira realy had great tournament back then.
  19. Just wondering, if Atletico and Everton would be ready to sell Falcao and Fellaini, can we actualy AFFORD both of them? It would cost us at least £50m and £20m for both... I mean, isnt that a bit against FFP rules and our new way of 'positive management' ? Can we actualy afford two top players in January? I have feeling that board will stick to Torres and buy Fellaini and Bony as backup.
  20. Well he didnt play there much as I said, but the point is that he can play there if needed.
  21. And Schalke beats Arsenal. Irony isnt it? And germans took one CL spot from Italians. Probably because they are shit right? Anyway, I dont realy care about german football, I was closely looking only at Bayern, BDortmund and Schalke. This three clubs have some very good players. Bayern was never club I would realy like to watch, but Schweini was very good in past few years. And so was Bayern and Germany. German NT was so unlucky in last two tournaments, they deserved more if you ask me. And those stats are actualy from this season btw. I was quite surprised too... Anyway, if we spend 40mio on Fellaini, I would be dissapointed. He is worth max 20mio. But I wont have anything against it. While Schweini was only wish and obviously, it will never happen. Der Rossi would also be great buy. Now I would like to end the discusion
  22. Yes, he does. Sure he is suposed to be CB, but he plays RB lot. When Matip and Papadopoulos (both CBs) are fit, he plays RB. If they are injured he is CB. Sometimes he was LB too, but on rare ocasions.
  23. So basicaly you are saying that if you had 40mio available you would choose Fellaini over Schweinsteiger? His average of pass acuraccy is 88,6 percent, while Xabi Alonso has average of 81.7. And we all know that Xabi is fantastic passer. Schweini makes 9 long balls (acurate) per game, area we lack big time. Just check whoscored to see more info about Bastian and compare him to Toure, Alonso, Fellaini and DeRossi. And you are saying BuLi is shit? Well Dortmund is playing better than City and Real so far just for you to know. And its not just luck that Bayern got to finals twice.
  24. Schweini is class player, maybe he gives that feeling like he is not that good, but have you wonder why is Bayern so sucessful? Bastian is their motor, while Robben has problems with inconsistency, Ribery and Schweini are most. important players at Bayern. And about his stats: he is CM, not CAM. His role is not to give assists, but to make that pass that leads to goal eventualy. Xabi Alonso also has similar stats to Schweini, but he is most important player at Real, not Ronaldo or Ozil. CMs dont have great stats in goals or assists, check their pass accuracy, tackles, creating chances, dictating game, long balls, etc. If Bastian wouldnt be class player, Bayern wouldnt play in CL finals two times in last four years. And to say that Fellaini is almost as good as Vidal or Schweini...just telling that Fellaini never played in CL before Is enough.
