Found this in another forum. Thought I'd share it. The Chelsea Board at the end of every season:

Beautiful day of football. Quite happy that Fulham are up and very happy that scousers are crying after that final. What a lovely day it is today.

Maybe he can, and that's what the delay is? I have no idea. We know about his clause, with a deadline. But no one had said anything about after the deadline. If the clause is removed, then what happens? DeLaurentis: His clause is 8M Us: He's going to just resign next week and you get nothing. I'd look at getting a replacement in, if I were you. ADL: If you fuck us like that, we're going to inflate the price of anyone you want to buy Us: You already do that ADL: Right. Well, it's about to get worse and we'll sell players like Jorginho to your rivals for less than what the current market is really saying Us: Isn't that already happening? ADL: Maybe we can work something out... The details of the post deadline termination seem sketchy. https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/chelsea-fc-transfer-rumours-news/2018/5/26/17397992/whats-the-deal-with-maurizio-sarris-buyout-clause

I guess the question is: "How much will it cost for him to resign after next week?"
-
I see. Gotcha.
-
Can he not resign? I'm sure there's a penalty that he would have to pay that we would cover. I doubt the club wants to do it like that.
-
I doubt that Napoli are going to let them both go in the same window. Without Diawara, I doubt that they'd let Jorginho go so easily. Napoli seem to get their replacements in a year or 2 before they sell their first choice. Novel idea.
-
We'll see what happens. Whether we pay the full clause or not. A 2 year deal with an option for a 3rd makes sense. With this kind of a change, 2 years to see what kind of progress before committing to a 3rd year. So, whether he was 100% correct about the clause, maybe not. But, he was the only one suggesting that Napoli would have a replacement in first and that the door would be open for us to come in. It's not like we've just triggered his clause a la PSG with Neymar and Arsenal's 40,000,001 Suarez bid.
-
Niinii says 2 year deal. Now, I know he's a Youtuber and why trust him over any other source. But, he was right about Chelsea waiting it out for Sarri to get the sack from Napoli. It's not exactly what's happening, but he was closer to the mark that any of the other reports.
-
Right. Shame. From what I saw before, he had a real nose for goal.
-
Is no one interested in Belotti anymore? He was the hot name last summer.
-
I'd imagine that he'd go to RB. The one I'm curios about is Hazard. Sarri used Indigne on the LW as an inside forward and Mertens as a false 9. Could see Hazard as either.
-
That's us, in a nutshell. No other big club (or even some smaller ones) shift their identity as much as we do. Ramires was used as a CM in Carlo's midfield diamond. Was out of place in a 4231. Sold. Then, Conte comes in and wants a midfield made up of hard workers who can play B2B. FFS.
-
We've been linked with him before. The rumoured amount for him suits us. Very important summer coming up. You could argue that we've been papering over the cracks for a while now. Potential Sarri appointment would suggest that we are interested in a major shift.
-
If I remember correctly, Hazard was okay. But Iazzard was vilified. Never heard from him again.
-
In theory, Morata should be able to be very successful under Sarri (if that's what happens). Higuain has some shaky finishing too, but managed a decent return of 36 goals in 35 league matches in 15/16
-
Well, looks like Niinii had it right. I have to say, being able to get Sarri without paying his clause is pretty good business.
-
I actually like his videos. But, I don't necessarily believe everything he says.
-
If this is true, we are playing with fire.
-
That's what I've been saying. 2 years out of the last 3 we've missed out on CL football, I can live with that (for a bit). But, the dreadful football that we played wasn't worth the cost. If there were signs of progressive football, it would make missing out on the Top 4 palatable. The problem with defensive, negative (pragmatic) football, is that if you aren't winning or at least competing, it's hard to swallow. It's trophy or nothing, the cost is too high if there is no silverware.
-
I haven't seen him play, and those are great numbers. Sometimes guys move too early and don't make a mark. Then their star gets a little dull and they go under the radar. Seems like he's on that path.
-
He was a hot commodity a while back, but didn't do much at Dortmund, if I recall. He was Lewandoski's replacement, I think.
-
I've been a defender of Willian. I could always see his limitations, but wasn't in the get rid of camp because I liked his personality. But, this is childish and inexcusable. As Supermonkey said above: Regardless of what you think of Conte's tactics, 3ATB, etc. He's a class act. Willian could learn something from him. I guess he really is a Jose player. Conte will be a bigger loss than Willian.

First real test.
