I'd be more okay with selling Morata. I think Bats has a lot of potential whereas Morata is more the finished article. If we have Higuain and Giroud, we could get away with keeping the player with more potential, IMO. Having said that. I'd be happier to keep Morata instead of buying Higuain. Unless we end up better off financially (by selling Morata for more), I just don't see the point in getting Higuain in.

I actually thought Robinho would have been a good signing at the time. We had no one that could beat a man off the dribble. We worked for months on that transfer, the site even had his shirt (mistakenly) for sale. Anyway, what's really funny is that there are posters over on Bluemoon who are criticizing the deal saying that he's only gone for the money. What short memories some people have. The irony is up there with Maradona calling England dirty cheats.

We still owe them one for Robinho. hope this works out better for us than Robinho did for them.

I think he's worth keeping. Jorginho is good, but he can't play every match.

If Sarri is indeed coming, and that this is the the over the odds signing we have to make from Napoli in order to pay but not pay the release clause, then it's a great move. If we are going to implement positional play, we need to have a few players who are already familiar with it. Having the man who links defence and builds the attacks from the back is ideal. There will be a lot of players telling each other where to go for a while. Having Jorginho as an on the field assistant coach will be invaluable, IMO. IF he goes. It has to be higher than Neymar, IMO. The fees keep going up and that was last year. Also, by going for Hazard over Neymar they are saying that they'd rather have him. So, it's got to be 250. Also, if we do sell, we have to buy first. No point in selling for 250 if everyone else's prices go up accordingly (a la Dembele).

I seem to recall a few theories out last summer that the move from Neymar to PSG was a round about way to get him to Madrid. 2 steps done. Hopefully, this is real and Madrid get him in. 4th step, stay the hell away from Hazard.

Craven Cottage is great. The fans are great. Living in Fulham or Putney is great. He should really reconsider. There's also a lovely French cheese truck in the North End Road market on the weekends (at least there used to be).

If he comes here, that probably means no Jorginho. No Jorginho probably means no Sarri (if we are to believe that we need to overpay for Jorginho in order to get Sarri).

I don't think there are many people that actually want him to leave. It's more like: If you don't want to sign a new deal and want to leave on a free next summer, then you can go. You're a good keeper but we won't miss the constant flirting with Madrid, or your dad. If you want to sign and commit to the club, we'd love to keep you here. In the end, 50M or whatever we get is a lot better than 0M next summer.

I don't think it's really about desperation, at least not 100%. He's probably thinking what a lot of us on here are thinking: If you can spend 30M on Drinkwater, what's the problem with shelling out 9M if you really want to be rid of me? I think that part of it is the principle. The club have been making googly-eyes at managers all summer. Why should he deny what he's owed, just to make things easier on the club that is trying to replace him? If your new missus was looking for a new guy, would you move out and give her the house to make her dating life easier (even if you didn't really want to be there)?

I'd 100% hang around at a party that didn't want me there for 9M.

I can't get excited about this. It's too good to be true.

So, next summer then. We'll be on to a new managerial target and need a different kind of profile to Seri.
