But he has a point with what he said to be fair. Having extra 1-2 players is not exactly bad especially if we were get into a tricky situation with injuries, suspensions, loss of form etc. It's not like we have 30+ players in the squad or something.
Some quotes from Tony Pulis ahead of the game. West Brom boss Tony Pulis slams claims Chelsea are in a 'crisis'... and is wary of a backlash from Jose Mourinho's side Tony Pulis tells Saido Berahino to focus on Chelsea
Just saw you added that last bit. Steve Holland was the assistant manager - for AVB and then RDM - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011%E2%80%9312_Chelsea_F.C._season#Coaching_staff. I don't think there's any way one can be sure it is RDM who came out with the idea. The coaching staffs talk to each other all the time and anyone could have suggested that. Even after RDM left, we still played Ramires out wide, both under Benitez and now Mourinho.
He's looking great in the Bundesliga so far. To think that we actually passed up on Costa and bought Cuadrado instead. As bad as getting Flopres rather than Aguero 4 years ago.
http://www.teamtalk.com/chelsea/9961093/Jose-Mourinho-may-not-sell-any-of-Chelsea-s-players?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Does that mean we're kinda ditching the 'One Out, One In' policy?
Think I read that somewhere but I don't think it's going to be a permanent thing. There will be times Benitez will go with an out-and-out striker and they're going to need Benzema. Money is money but Madrid aren't desperate for it and they will be daft to weaken their squad strength with only a week left in the transfer window.
Well, we didn't have too many options out wide back then, did we? And besides, playing Ramires at RW suited the reactive/counter-attack approach of RDM. I don't recall him using Ramires there in the following season when we bought in new players.
Either him or someone else! I remember we first played Ramires out wide when we went to Wolves under AVB, because of some injury problems we had back then.
