Never mind ourselves, which West Ham will turn up here? The one that won at Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City OR the one that somehow lost at home to Bournemouth, Leicester?!
-
Frustrated with the result. Feel like we dropped 2 points rather than gained a point. The overall performance wasn't great but was our best this season and we arguably created enough chances - especially in the first half - to win the game. We even hit the woodwork twice and were denied a stonewall penalty! That aside, pleased with the performance - our passing, pressing, defending was a lot better. The intensity that had been missing was certainly evident today. If we carry on playing with the same attitude and aggression, we will return to winning ways soon enough.

Best half of the season so far? Not threatened them enough but we've created some decent opportunities, which we should have put away. Passing, pressing and defending also looked much much better.

That bench is poverty.

Not about Mourinho but thought this is interesting... Guardiola: Long Bayern stay would be boring; Wenger at Arsenal is different

Stats do not always tell the whole story. Anybody can use them to suit their argument. If we go through the matches, we can easily find Fabregas not doing his defensive work right. We don't know how these players are responding to the aggressive comments by Mourinho? He's been criticizing the players for some time now and we have yet to see any real improvement from them. Their performances are showing they aren't responding to Mourinho's comments. Also, why does Mourinho always have to take an aggressive approach to get a response from his players? Why does he have make those comments in the public? You can't tell me that a softer approach and telling the players what they aren't doing right behind closed doors (especially with the mess we're in now) wouldn't yield a positive result. You don't see Fergie criticizing players in the public to galvanize them, certainly not as often as Mourinho. Said this yesterday, I don't really buy into that notion. Regardless of your personality, if you're mentally strong enough, you should be able to accept criticism and use it as a motivation to get better.

The reason for that - look to the main man in the dugout.

I wouldn't say so when Ivanovic, Fabregas etc are still playing regularly. Mourinho is only rotating because we have been so awful this season. Otherwise, he doesn't really rotate much. Last season being a case in point and it was one of the reasons why we looked poorer in the second half.
-
That's ironic to hear when our manager is Mourinho.
-
The same could be said for some of the other players.

To be fair, even though Mourinho repeatedly commits the same offence, to give him a 50k fine is still a joke. Did Fergie even receive that amount of fine before? On top of that, the suspended stadium ban is also a joke. Alan Pardew got a stadium ban 2 seasons ago for headbutting David Meyler and the FA is practically saying Mourinho's criticism of the referees is as bad as Pardew's actions. But in general, Hazard is the best attacker in the side. The fact that we're saying Willian is our best attacker right now says a lot more about our current predicament than his ability because we all know Willian is very average going forward. Besides, we're only saying Willian is our best attacker because of his free kick goals. Otherwise, he himself hasn't done much either going forward.
-
That's your view and so, fair enough. But Fabregas is the certainly the worst for me if we exclude defenders. That guy can't even tackle or bother to put in the shift to save his life. The thing is, are others even doing enough offensively to justify their place in the squad? No. The fact that we're currently winning based on luck (almost) and we leaving our best attacker out is daft. I also don't buy this nonsense that just because Mourinho is our manager, we have to accept the fact he asks our attackers to defend a lot. In a way, yes simply because he's in charge at the moment but with a mindset like that (preference of defending more than attacking), we'll never progress to the next level and be alongside the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich etc. No one will be daft enough to come and criticize Mourinho but that doesn't mean the players are happy behind closed doors. Mourinho's obsession of always taking the aggressive approach in handling players (or even the referees, the club etc) is tiresome, predictable and history has shown that approach does more harm than good to the team/club.

Jose Mourinho's obsession with personal battles could lose him the war
-
Screw the last post but this sounds a bit convenient...
-
Then don't start him. Put him on the bench at least. By leaving Pedro and Remy behind, we are practically leaving ourselves short on attacking options!
-
Main thing here is not whether we will sell but rather whether Hazard wants to leave. If he does, then I doubt we will keep him here against his wishes.
-
So Mourinho praised Pedro at the weekend and he's now leaving him out of Tuesday's match?
-
First time in awhile he looks like the old Ramires. That said, he still can't pass a ball to save his life!
