  1. It's easy to say that on paper but not easy to implement it on the pitch. Sure, Barcelona do not play with a typical defensive midfielder but they do have Busquets who helps shield their defence and team in midfield. PSG have Motta and Matuidi - two combative, physical players who are way different than those you put in the midfield. Madrid don't necessarily play with a defensive midfielder but look where has that got them.
  2. That midfield three will get overrun defensively.
  3. OH MY GOD! IS THIS REALLY GOING TO HAPPEN?!
  4. Spurs can go top tomorrow if they beat West Ham.
  5. I would rather get a proper left back rather than trying to fit square pegs in round holes. It's not like an actual left back can't score goals like Kenedy did earlier!
  6. But on the other hand, Begovic probably wouldn't have let in so many goals at his near post!
  7. That's just one example. You're saying as if he wouldn't be able to score at all if he was playing as an attacking wide player instead.
  8. Would Begovic really do any worse than Courtois right now...?
  9. His reluctance to shoot is starting to become VERY annoying.
  10. - UP TO 8TH!!! - Three league wins on the spin. THREE!!! - Good goal by Kenedy - Costa offside for the goal. #CampaignAgainstNorwich - Courtois has been VERY average this season, seems to get beaten by shots he should be saving WAY too easily - Then again, clean sheet is overrated

  13. I just remembered Steven Naismith is now at Norwich. What are the odds of him scoring against us...again?
  14. Can understand the argument but on the other hand, if we don't rest players, then we would jeopardize our chances in the cup competitions. After Norwich, we have Stoke on Saturday, PSG on Wednesday and then Everton on Saturday. Total of 4 games in 12 days. The last thing that we would want now is another injury or players feeling fatigue ahead of those 2 huge games next week. Lose both and our season is basically over.
  15. Of course it's already wrapped up. Who would be foolish to think otherwise? But in your initial post, you implied that PSG could mathematically win the title before the second leg, which obviously they can't!
  16. No, they can't. They're 23 points clear of Monaco in second place and there's 10 games to go, with only 1 played just days before the Champions League second leg.
  17. If that doesn't show the English journalists' ignorance towards the other leagues, then I don't know what will. Sure, Conte is not exactly the calmest of managers like Ancelotti, Hiddink etc and can be a bit feisty but he's certainly not like Mourinho who has a tendency to go over the line. Doubt you'll see Conte having unnecessary pops at other managers (funny as they may be when Mourinho does it), poking someone else in the eye, shouting at physios because they apparently do not understand football to name a few.
  18. Like you said "at the moment" but in the bigger picture, Chelsea are still a bigger club than PSG. You would be lying if you say/think otherwise. When have Real Madrid ever made any logical decisions?
  19. Chelsea could be taking a big gamble making Antonio Conte their next manager
