I seriously have to applaud our ability to make average players/teams look like world beaters whenever we play them. Montero is a decent player but my god, he's barely had any impact on Swansea this season and yet we made him look like Messi in both games this season. There's something seriously wrong with this team.

Sure, the board did make mistakes but you can't tell he he didn't have the board's backing. Almost everyone wanted him to stay at the club - he even got a 3-year contract extension! - but it's his antics (to put it kindly) that forced people to not want him. Fair point but I don't think Conte is the kind of a man who says yes to things if he doesn't have a strong say in matters like transfer targets etc.
