  1. If he wanted someone like him, we should have gone for Hernandez, who does similar things and is a deadly poacher inside the box.
  2. Morata or Batshuayi can do that if needed. Heck, Pedro can also do that. Why do we even need Vardy just for that and do we really need to spend big money on a one dimensional striker?
  3. He'd be the perfect Plan B striker? How is he a Plan B striker when he's similar to Morata and Batshuayi? All 3 pacey strikers, have decent technical qualities but none of them offer qualities that are totally different from one another. A plan B striker at this point would be signing a big, physical striker like Llorente or Belotti.
  4. You want a manager who plays decent football but can't organize his side defensively? Why would he want to join us even if we did approach him? He left Dortmund because of disagreement with the club's management and you think he won't disagree with our board when we are much more bonkers than Dortmund's?
  5. Are you genuinely outraged or just pretending to be outraged?
  6. Southampton have signed a new CB. Bye bye Van Dijk?
  7. Classic 'Player not having great time, link him with other club' rumour
  8. Will never understand Guardiola's obsession with the constant tinkering. Can never seem to keep things simple and trust his players' quality to come through. In some ways, it's probably a good thing that we didn't get him as our manager. Might have ended up with another AVB situation.
  9. Can't believe we needed an injury/suspension problems for Conte to play the 3-5-2 though. We weren't perfect but at least we didn't get overrun in midfield like on so many occasions last season with the 3-4-3. 3-4-3 is fine against the lesser sides but we should look to play 3-5-2 against the big sides, especially away from home. And it would really be nice if we can keep the ball for a sustained period of time!
  10. If only we hadn't messed up against Burnley, we would have 6 points right now! On a different note, we picked up only 3 points from Burnley (h) and Spurs (a) last season. Same again this time around.
  11. They did. And Matt Law (and some others) was going WTF on Twitter.
  12. Never mind the crazy win, can we just at Spurs' attempt to create an atmosphere at Wembley by using drums?
  13. No he didn't. Our 3 CBs were a defensive mess in that first half. Azpi, Christensen and Bakayoko all either got beaten too easily one-on-one or caught out of position. All looked much better in the second after Conte had the chance to sort them out.
  14. Chelsea 2-0 Everton PRE/POST-MATCH DISCUSSION, LIVE CHAT AND ANALYSIS 2017/18 Premier League Match 3 27th August, Sunday, 2017 Stamford Bridge 13:30 Kick Off (UK time)
  15. Looked all over the place defensively in the first half (though the same can be said about others too) but bounced back in the second and coped well.
  16. Indeed. Just imagine once he's fully fit! Could end up doing Kante-esque crazy things.
  17. *keep expectations low. keep your expectations low, Jason!*
  18. Looks like the club's social media team got carried away a tad bit today
  19. Alonso has his flaws but one thing you can't deny is he has one hell of a left foot.
